Place was in great shape - everything clean & readily available. Plenty of room for 11 adults & 2 kids under 3. Have 1 family member with stair trouble, 1 bedroom/bath being on the main floor is quite hard to find apparently, so this property worked great! Amazingly close to Cranmore mountain & easily walking distance to downtown N. Conway if you wanted. Owner is very easy to get in touch with & quick to reply with any questions we had during our stay. Would gladly rent from again in the future, esp since family is considering making this a yearly vacation.

Home was just as described, great location, plenty of room, and spacious for 11 people. The only issue was that the cleaning crew prior to our arrival seemed to forgot to remove the gabage from the home. Not a big deal but a little sweeping and dusting could have made the stay perfect. The owner is very responsive and a pleasure to rent from. We had no issues during our stay but all emails were returned very quickly. We would recommend this home to anyone looking to rent in the North Conway area.

What a great house! We arrived on Thursday afternoon to a wonderfully clean and inviting home. The fireplace in the living room was turned on and we went about exploring our home for the next couple days. Over the rest of the evening our group of 14 adults showed up. I can say that we were not disappointed. All of the rooms were lovely, and the beds comfortable. There were plenty of sheets and towels. The hot tub was perfect and we spent a lot of time in it. There was never a problem with shower space or the hot water running out. Never did it feel like we were cramped or on top of each other. The pool table and downstairs room were perfect as well. The house was everything described in the ad, and the pictures don’t do it justice. I think we ended up spending more time at the house then out and about! When we were out, we were so close to everything. It took minutes to get downtown to great places like Horsefeathers, the outlets, or Frontside Grind Coffee House. Snowcap was perfect! I can’t wait to rent from them again. We had a lovely weekend in North Conway and this home helped make that possible. It's the kind of place you want to keep 'our little secret'. :)

This house was a great, cozy house. Even though we had 14 people, it did not feel crowded one bit. The living area is spacious. The game room in the basement was fun. The hot tub was GREAT!! Everybody in our party had a great time and enjoyed the house. The location is awesome too! There were plenty of things to do. We had a choice of 3 mountains to choose from. There were snowshoeing trails. And for those who didn't want to do either, there was plenty of shopping around. The owners were very friendly and prompt on returning emails/phone calls. Overall, good house, good customer service, good people, good times!

Hi Tony, I just wanted to say thank you for letting us stay at your vacation home. It was a very cozy house and with the 14 of us, it did not feel crowded at all. We loved the location and were able to hang out at the outlets at the end of the weekend. The neighbors were also quiet and kept to themselves. The hot tub was KEY at the end of the day. Also thank you for letting us have a dog stay over. She had a great time exploring and playing in the snow.

We are a group of 30- and 40-somethings who rent homes in the North Conway and Jackson areas every winter. This year we were on a slightly tighter budget, but still wanted a home that could accommodate our group of 10 and offered some of the key amenities that we have come to enjoy (open living room/dining room, fireplace, game room/pool table, multiple bathrooms, convenient location, hot tub). This house met ALL of our needs! While some of the rooms are smaller than in other rentals, it was a charming, cozy and clean house (very much in line with other rentals in this price range). The best feature for our group was the open-concept living room, kitchen and dining areas. The living room had generous and comfortable seating and a toasty fireplace; the dining table was PERFECT for games and meals; and the kitchen, which appears small in the pictures, was perfectly good for preparing large meals for 10. Also, the hot tub was wonderful... we thoroughly enjoyed it throughout our whole long weekend stay. The owners were very easy to work with throughout the entire rental process (we generally have a lot of questions) and when issues arose while we were staying there; they responded quickly to emails prior to our arrival, and immediately attended to issues that arose with the house while we were there… we can’t say enough good things about how accommodating they were. As we were checking out, one of our cars would not start due to the cold weather that weekend (1/13/12 – 1/16/12). We contacted the homeowners to see if they had any jumper cables in the house to avoid an hour+ wait for AAA, and they came right over and gave us a jump (THANK YOU!). That was above and beyond in our book! We would absolutely recommend this home to family and friends.

First arrived there, the place was trashed. Dirty socks on the table, empty alcohol bottles and cans EVERYWHERE, dirty dishes filled both sinks, stained blankets/pillows with blood and feces, and a horrendous stench around the house. We called up the owner(s) and they did not answer our calls..we were calling and calling. When they finally picked up they said "The maid will get there by 8PM and clean up. I was on vacation and didn't know about the house." We decided to eat out, to let the maid clean the house. We decided to eat out, to let the maid clean the house. Also, went to Wal-Mart to purchase our OWN sleeping bags and pillows. We got back and the house wasn't even touched. We kept calling the owners and they started to not answer our calls. We decided to clean the house ourselves..because we know the maid isn't coming anytime soon. The maid comes the next day... and tells us "The owner never called." The maid was very nice and finished cleaning what we started. The owners were obviously trying to avoid us.. Two out of the four stove top burners were NOT working..there was no heat for the WHOLE week.. the jacuzzi had to be clean by people who came in the middle of our trip. We only had the chance to use the jacuzzi for just TWO days out of the week we stayed. The owners originally planned to reimburse us with $500. The last day we left, they came to check the house and found damages not done by our group and demanded our group to pay for the costs. They ended up not reimbursing us and they want to call the Police. The house was broken before we arrived. The owner(s) truly does not care about this house and only wants to steal your money..they are con-artists.. THE OWNERS WERE NOT PROFESSIONAL AND THEY WERE IRRESPONSIBLE. WORST customer service received. They let us freeze for the whole week... At night there will be loud footsteps in the attic, the basement showers will run by itself in the middle of the night and eerie sounds will occur in the basement as well as the attic, and the gas stove top burner comes on by itself. The pictures are deceiving because the house was small and they took 5-6 pictures of the same room in different angles.. I would NOT recommend this to anyone. This is NOT worth your money. Stay FAR AWAY from these owners/house because there are way BETTER owners/houses. Mostly all the reviews are posted by the owner(s)..what they posted was FALSE information. If I could rate this ZERO stars, I would because that's the TRUTH.

This house is exactly what we were looking for. It was a perfect size for our group of 14 people. The main floor is open to allow a lot of people to fit within without feeling cramped. Having the pool table and hot tube provided a great way to relax and unwind after some frozen days on the slopes. The owners were also very responsive and great to deal with.

As a few of the other reviews have said, my friends and I have been going on annual new years trip to the North Conway area for several years. We all thought his was a terrific house. The house was convenient to downtown North Conway, as well as Attitash and Cranmore. The house itself was spacious and provided plenty of seating as well as sleeping options. The extra amenities such as the pool table, and dart board in the basement. In addition, I had never rented a home with a hot tub, and thought this was a great added bonus. The owners were polite, profesional, and responsive to any and all questions. I would highly recommend this house.

I was so surprised to how much room we had when we stayed here at your house. Loved the location, pool table, dart board and slot machine!!! Never felt crowded and found that we had plenty of room. I would recommend this chalet to any group visiting the Mount Washington Valley area. Minutes from all the attractions, restaurants, shopping and secluded enough to have some privacy. Had the pleasure of seeing a bear and its cub from deck. Again, had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back.

7 adults and 4 kids (all under the age of 5) spent a great summer weekend in North Conway and we were delighted with our accommodations! There was plenty of room to spread out and relax between our trips to Storyland, the Thomas the Train event at the RR station in town and Echo Lake State Park. Incredibly close to everything, the house was exactly what we wanted! The property was clean and neat, the owners were easy and delightful to deal with and we would definitely recommend this house to families with young children or for a grown-up get-away! Enjoy!!

MT Cranmore Fun House

This was an absolute great time. We had four children and we put the hot tub to great use, the hiking trails were easily accessible, we especially loved the one across the street that is part of Cranmore's ski area (not the mountain, naturally). It was very accessible to town and shopping & restaurants. I would do it again in a heartbeat. The photos very accurately portrayed the house, and the house's position (backing on to woods) made it very pleasureable to just hang out have a beer/cocktail and a pipe on the back deck, while the kids enjoyed the hot-tub. The Pool Table was also an added bonus. All - in - all, everyone had a great time and it was during the Muddy Season between Skiing & Summer, so I can only imagine how much fun it is during the ski season. Property is clean and well maintained. Enjoy.

Great House and a Perfect Weekend

This was the perfect house for any group. All 14 of us spent the weekend at this house to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. The house never felt small and all the amenities helped to make the weekend a complete success. Some people in the group skied, some shopped and took advantage of the outlets and downtown (both were super close), and still others hung out at the house, playing pool or just relaxing in the jacuzzi. The owners were helpful and extremely accommodating. We hope to make this an annual trip!

Kid friendly - pack n play and high chair. Kids played in snow out in the back yard while adults sat on deck. 1 minute drive to drop kids off at Cranmore for skiing lessons.

The house was great- really comfortable. It looked just like the pictures online. There was plenty of room for our extended family (8 adults and 8 kids). The location was fantastic - a stones throw from Cranmore, 3 blocks to downtown. The price was reasonable and the owners were very nice and easily accessible. The down side is the check out procedure. It's just not the best policy to count on previous renters to clean and replace dishes, towels and bed sheets for the next renters. Not everyone will do the right thing. The owners were very apologetic and did refund a portion of our rent because of a problem caused by previous renters, but it's just a risky policy I think. All in all, it's a great lodge, in a fantastic location, with good owners. I would stay here again.

We definitely agree that not every renter will do the right thing in regards to cleaning so we have a management company come in after each rental to clean and inspect the house. I apologized for the towels left in the dryer. The previous renters accidently left clean, dried towels in the dryer. The management forgot to put them away. So sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for letting me know. We have implemented a new system for the management company so that they can easily track cleaning and inspecting. Thank you again.

Great Vacation Home

My friends and I have been going on an annual winter trip for the last 7 years. We have been to this house for the last two years and couldn't not ask for a better house. Most of us ski, but for those who don't there is a lot to do around the area. The hot tub is great after a day of skiing of riding, and the house is very spacious. Good for large families, and groups of friends. We will seriously consider renting this home again next year!

We stayed (with another family) at this home for 4 nights in mid March. Two of the boys had a ski race at Cranmore and we wanted to stay in a large home with plenty of room for the adults and kids. It worked out great. The kids hung out downstairs playing pool and video games and the adults were upstairs in the dining /living room area. We had 9 people in the house and we never felt crowded and we had plenty of room to tune skis. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked in every night. The owners were wonderful, they fedexed the key to make sure that I received it and answered all of my questions. The house is not walking distance to the mountain (while carrying ski equipment) but it's just a 2 minute ride and I think the extra room is worth the distance. Everything was great. We're hoping that states are at Cranmore next year because I would love to rent the same house!

Can't say enough good things about this property, or the owners. We were late making plans, so rather then taking a chance with the mail they drove out of their way to get us the keys. The property was clean and everything they advertised. There was more then enough room for 8 adults, one small child, and our dog. The location couldn't be better. We will definatly be back, we can't imagine renting from anyone else up here.

My friends and I have been doing a winter trip, this being the 6th year in a row. I have always rented from the same company until last year when we had a few problems. When I found this house I was a little skeptical, but when we arrived everyone said it was the best house we had gotten yet. We had plenty of space, jacuzzi was great, and you really can't beat the location. The owners were very helpful, and informative. On the last day we got a foot of snow, which was great for skiing, but we did have some problems getting out cars out of the driveway behind the house. If it snows, I suggest if you don't have four wheel drive, park in front of the house. It is really not that big of a deal. We also brought our dog and he loved the open backyard. I would highly recommend this house to future renters, and will consider it for our trip next year.

I am so looking forward to renting this house again because of the layout and the location. It was very clean, comfortable and we had tons of room. We especially liked the jacuzzi and the downstairs game room. The house is seconds from Cranmore Mountain Resort. We took the kids tubing - they loved it. The kids were able to play in the snow in the backyard while the adults watched from them from the sliding glass door. The owner was also very accommodating, he made sure that the driveway was sanded/plowed and he came by and shoveled the front stairs after the snow storm. All in all, we had a blast and we throughly enjoyed staying at this house. I recommend this house to families with children and a bunch of friends and/or couples getting together. You will love it.

Great for a weekend getaway with friends

This is a very nice property. 10 friends and myself, whom are recent college grads, recently rented this property for a long weekend ski trip and had a great time. There is plenty of room for everyone to hang out all over the house and play pool, watch TV, or enjoy the forrest view from the outdoor hot tub. On top of it all you can practically throw a stone and hit Cranmore Mountain, it's a 3 minute drive away. The owners were also very helpful. We had a slight issue upon arrival but they were very nice and the problem was quickly resolved. Really great people to work with. I would definately reccomend this house and am looking forward to coming back next season.

I stayed at this property with a group of friends. The house was clean, had a great layout. We had a great time and would recommend staying there when you are in North Conway. It is a two minute drive to Cranmore Mountain. We had plenty of room and look forward to staying here again.

Misrepresentation of property

Our family rented this property December '08 - we were a family of 13. We planned our sleeping arrangements based on the number of beds provided on the web site. When we arrived, we were short one bed! The owners explanation was that one of the beds had been broken and we should have notified them and they would have supplied us with an air mattress. Also, as it was a winter rental, the information regarding indoor activities was extremely important. This also was misrepresented. Their web site stated there was a pool table, ping-pong table and foosball table as well as video games. Upon arrival, there was a pool table and a dart board with a few darts. Again, upon questioning the owner, we were told that the foosball table and video games has been stolen the week prior and the ping-pong table was destroyed. After staying at the property, our family never saw evidence that a foosball table had been present (no markings on the rug) nor did we see where a ping-pong table could have fit - the game room in the basement was sufficient for the pool table and perhaps a foosball table, but not a ping-pong table. After sending an e-mail to the owner with the above complaints, we were offered a third night free upon renting from them again. Unfortunately, that will not take place. I am writing this January 21, 2009, and as of this date we have yet to receive our security deposit back. I was assured on January 5 that we would receive our security deposit by the following week - as we did not use their house phone nor did we rent movies through their cable company and a thank you for keeping the property clean. We have left several messages requesting our check and no one has called us back yet. We informed the owner that we would write our review once our check had been received as we also requested a refund of some our rental fee for the misrepresentation, but we thougt it more important for other renters to see how non-chalant the owner is with the renters money as no one will even return our call. One positive note was their response to sanding. When we phoned them to request a sander, someone was there in just over one hour. Overall, if the owner had properly listed the rental information and responded to us in a more timely fashion with regards to returning a security deposit, we would have rated experience better, but unfortunately, they were unresponsive.

Owner response:When I came back to house to clean after this group checked out, I was very happy because on the downstair's chalkboard the children who were the renter's guest wrote "We love this house", "We love Snow" and "We love New Hampshire". It seemed to me that they had a great time. We were in contact with the renter during the third night of her rental and everything seemed fine, She never stated that they were unhappy. This bad review is a result of the renter becoming upset because I will not give her a refund because of a missing foosball table. I did, however, offer her a free night's stay because she was unhappy. I was trying to accommodate her but she refused. She has been threatening me with a bad review ever since. There were the same amount of beds as originally listed on the website The house still sleeps 14 comfortably - we had to replace a double bed with two twin beds. Regarding the gameroom, there aren't any darts missing, the foosball was on a linoleum floor so, of course, there would no evidence on the rug. The ping pong table was a conversion kit that converted the pool table into a ping pong table. Regarding her security deposit, she should refer to her signed lease, security deposits are returned within 30 days of the rental. Her security deposit is due back to her because she kept the house neat and she did not damage anything. This renter has been badgering me since she's checked out because she wanted a portion of the rental fee returned to her - in my opinion, a missing foosball table does not justify a one night's refund. As stated previously, I offer her a free night's stay. I am not a non-chalant owner and I do not appreciate her harassing me with her unruly messages. All she is due is her security deposit which she will get as specified in her contract.

Our party of 10 spent our Christmas at White Mountain Lodge. We had a great time. Location, location, location. Relaxed in the jacuzzi, played pool, snowmobiled, went tubing and went shopping. We would definitely look forward to staying again this winter season, if available.

WE STAYED AT WHITE MOUNTAIN LODGE THIS NOVEMBER. THERE WERE 12 OF US IN TOTAL. WE LOVED THE HOUSE AND LOVED THE LOCATION. LOOK FORWARD TO RENTING THE HOUSE THIS WINTER.

We recently stayed at this rental with 10 people. We found it had everything we needed and more plus we couldnt beat the price and location! It was minutes to downtown and all the scenic locations we were looking for. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a getaway!

Be sure to take pictures so that you don't get taken advantage of. Place wasn't that bad, especially for the price. But not worth the headache! Would NEVER want to stay here again.

We try our hardest to make each renters stay at our home a positive experience and hope that they enjoy themselves! We do not have any reason to take advantage of anyone. We have a number of renters who rent from us again and again. This particular traveler and her guests rented our property Columbus Day Weekend. They caused excessive damage to our property. Regretfully, the damages caused far exceeded their security deposit. We have proof and photos of the damages that they caused. Our home was booked all summer and fall - we have never had a negative comment other than this one. We look forward to renting to all of our travelers this winter who have already booked their vacations. We have a great home with a wonderful location! Renting this house was the highlight of my Fall vacation. It was centrally located to downtown North Conway, the outlets and the foilage was spectacular. The house was spacious and my grandchildren had a wonderful time playing downstairs in the game room and in the jacuzzi. My entire family had plenty room and we are planning to rent it again this summer.
