The Condo is in a nice location, the condo has most all of what you need to make your stay enjoyable. The master bed was comfortable, but the second is a trundle bed that has a stored bed under that can be pulled out to make a king. Not all that comfortable for two adults, fine for younger kids. The kitchen was beautiful, although the couch and chair are in need of cleaning. We just threw a blanket over them and it was fine. Close to many adventures, we took a walk on our last day around the top of the point, wish we would have done so sooner. The beach is a little hike to get to unless you stay on the weekends or during the summer there is a tram that will bring you close to the beach.

We - a german family with 3 kids (5, 9, 11) - spent 2 weeks in Oct 2011 at the Beach Condo. It was a perfect holiday home - very clean, very silent, full equiped, next to the pool area and just 10 min. walk to nice Monarch beach. We surely will do it again !

Perfect for a Relaxed Stay at the Ocean

We had a fantastic and relaxed stay this summer at this condo. It was all as it was supposed to be: the condo was clean and well-maintained, you can believe what you see on the photos (although the sliding doors ... - see previous reviews) and what is the most important point: the beach was quick and easy to access. The owner even provided for beach toys for our kids. The owner was also very responsive and it was a pleasure to deal with him. In particular if you are not used to living close to the Pacific Ocean: You will love this place - just because stepping out of the condo and watching the ocean in the mornings or evenings or any other time of the day is so unbelievably "mind appeasing".

Relaxing Dana Point Vacation

Wonderful location in a beautiful neighborhood! The pool and the beach were conveniently located. The beach was very clean and not too busy. The condo was also very clean and comfortable. There was a pleasant cross breeze when you opened the windows and door. However, we also noticed, as was noted by a previous reviewer, that the sliding doors were a bit hard to open. Overall, our family had a relaxing vacation -- we especially enjoyed the weather. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with.

Condo was centrally located to all the activities we wanted to do, it was clean,neat and had everything we needed for a great vacation. Property was well maintained but it does need some attention on the deck sliding doors that are hard to open and the grill was rusty. Owner is exceptionally warm and friendly and helpful with all our questions. Beach was beautiful and within walking distance. Pool was also centrally located and was a great option for the teenagers. One of our best vacations ever. Would love to come back again in the future.

Quiet, clean top floor unit in attractive condominium complex not far from downtown Dana Point. No need for AC - just open the windows for the cooling ocean breezes. Close enough for easy access to pool and hot tub, but far enough not to be disturbed by bathers. Within walking distance to a beautiful beach just north of the point. Our children loved riding the funicular. Owner is very professional and responsive. Would definitely stay again.

Orange County Dream

Being our second visit to the property, we couldn't wait to return. The condo unit is clean, bright, and very accommodating for a family with a young child & the location is fantastic to see everything to your heart's content. We were pleased to be located to close to so much but also feel away from everything being so close to the beach. The unit has internet access which is great and TV's in each room (1 in LR and one in each of the 2 BRs). The only issue is I get poor cell reception in the area (then again, I'm on vacation, right?), but that is more attributed to being close to the ocean. The complex's pool was clean and other people there were pleasant & courteous. Covered parking right outside the unit is a huge plus & we barely saw any of the other residents around. The two balconies are nice, with one having an ocean peek, but the second bathroom really helps keep family travel sane. The owner is responsive and helpful in any needs that you may have. We can't wait to come back again!

Dana Point Place

We've just returned from our 10 day vacation where we stayed at Dana Point condo. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend the place. It is tastefully decorated to have a beach cottage feel. The kitchen is fully equiped and good size. The bedrooms are nice and comfortable, and our daugters just loved the bathrooms. It is an easy beautifull walk down to the beach. And the beach itself is really, really nice.There are long paths along the beach perfect for morning or an evening stroll. Dana Point is a nice quiet place that is very close to Laguna Beach and LA. We drove many days to LA and the nearby attractions and if you avoid the early morning traffic, it is very comfortable drive. Nihar, property manager, is very responsive and has addressed any questions we had in a friendly and proffessional manner. Again, we would highly recommend the place and are hopin to be back in the near future.

Great location. Quiet complex and friendly residents. Beautifully maintained safe property, minutes to Laguna Beach or Dana Point Harbor. The complex is located just across from the beach parking and it is a short walk down the stairs to the beach. Great location for active families who enjoy the excersize up/down the stairs to and from the beach. Our family visited Disney and it was an easy 35 minute drive. It was great to get back to the quiet condo, beach, and pool after long days at Disney. We would stay again and highly recommend this condo.

What a fantastic weekend getaway! The condo is "beach chic" (I've coined my own design term) - so clean & comfy with tasteful design features. I love the dark floors with white walls - feels airy, beachy & sophisticated. The condo has all the amenities & the location is AMAZING. Right across the street from the beach. My friend and I needed an escape from the hectic city and that's exactly what we got - peace, serenity... the condo feels very homey, comfortable & relaxing. The neighborhood is quiet and clean. The exact opposite of the city. Was the listing description accurate regarding the location? YES Did the listing photos accurately reflect the rental’s appearance and amenities? YES Was the property clean and well-maintained? YES Was the owner helpful in answering your questions or concerns? YES Would you recommend this property to a friend or relative? YES What nearby activities, attractions and restaurants would you recommend? Don't deal with a car - show up to the condo prepared with food, cook for yourself, enjoy the patio with amazing ocean & sunset view, and walk to the beach and spend the weekend at the beach, walk up and down the beach, enjoy bbq on the patio... true relaxation. That's what I did!

Dana Point Getaway

My wife and I loved our condo. The location was perfect for the many day trips we took exploring Southern California. The setting close to the ocean was perfect. Our condo was spacious and very clean. The area is one you will sure want to return to some day. The owner communicated all the necessary information and was helpful in seeing we had everything we needed. We would recommend this rental without hesitation.

I loved our stay here... it fit me and five of my girlfriends perfectly. I loved how the community was tucked just off the main highway through laguna but it also was a short walk to a look-out poin of the ocean. I love the swimming pool and hot tub!!! I loved all the restraunts near by!!! You can't get a better place to stay for such a great price!!! I promise that... I did my research. I would recommend this place to anyone and would definantly stay here again!!!

This condo has everything you need for a great vacation. The kitchen is well stocked to cook and serve in great style! We especially liked the two porches off the bedrooms that also open onto the main living areas to make wonderful air flow throughout the condo. The bathrooms are done very nicely. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was very convenient also. The short walk to the beach made it all just right! Would definitely recommend to friends. We enjoyed going to the Ocean Institute at Dana Point. Had a great time overall!

RELAXING

Lovely complex, close to the beach, easily accessible to restaurants, other beaches & shopping! This made our week's stay a pleasure. An unexpected trip to the ER was just minutes from the condo too; thankfully. We especially loved seeing a TV celebrity during our stay.

Our family of five had a great time at this very clean and well-maintained condo! We were able to save by cooking in the convenient kitchen and on the grill, but when we wanted to go out, the condo was close to some really great restaurants also! Highly recommend it!

My first summer vacation at Dana Point

Love the quiet, peaceful beach rental complex. Liked the easy access to the clean, uncrowded beach. Enjoyed the fresh cool ocean air. Enjoyed the the petting zoo with my toddler visitor in San Juan Capistrano which is a short drive away. Had good time in the swimming pool, jacuzzi with families. Met other nice people. I would like to go back to spend more time in my future vacation. Thanks.

A fun 3 days

The condo was perfect for my wife, 2-yeaar-old son, and me. The beautiful pool and large hot tub was only a hundred feet from our door. There is a nice sense of community in the complex. We checked out the beach, which is down a very nice, but long staired path. It was high-tide when we went down there so there was no beach to speak of. Not sure if there is a lot more beach to be had at low tide. We drove ~10 minutes South and enjoyed a public Laguna Beach beach, which was very nice. All shopping needs (grocery store, restaurants, Radio Shack) were within 2 miles so was convenent by car, but not as much walking. If you want more of a downtown experience Laguna Beach is a great place to spend the day, and is quite close. We really appreciated the concierge book - found a great restaurant from it where our son watched in awe as food was sliced and diced right in front of him. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for up to a family of 4 (might be tight with more).

Condo size was perfect for our family of 4. Loved the floors- easy to maintain. Kitchen a great size and open feeling. Kids loved the flat screen TVs. Perfect location- close to pool and enjoyable walk to beach. Being from Seattle we needed some sunshine and even though we had heard of the June gloom on the coast the weather was perfect for us. We jogged in the mornings and spent the afternoons at the beach and pool.

The condo was better than expected. Great location, spacious, well appointed with everything updated. Grounds and pool were great and a short walk to the beach. Quiet with no noisy neighbors. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Words cannot describe how happy my family was with the accommodations at the condo on Selva Road. It was more than we could ask for and some! We arrived late Saturday night, around 12 am, from a long flight and drive. Because it was our first time out to Dana Point we had no idea what the place really looked like until we arrived. However, honestly your pictures do an injustice to what we saw. I mean, we didn't see any hills, mountains, blue oceans or gorgeous homes while driving in that night it was pitch dark outside when we arrived. BUT, the next morning when I used our GPS to get to Ralphs, I was totally speechless! The views of gorgeous mountains, homes and the pacific ocean was incredible! I just was totally at awe and happy because I knew we just got the best vacation we have ever had. I rushed back to the condo cooked breakfast for the guys and made them take a ride with me, when my husband saw the view he just looked at me and said honey you did a great job. (Christmas is looking good,,,,,oh yeah) We truly had a relaxing time, the space was excellent for our size and those TV's were perfect. (Guess who will be over our fireplace this Christmas....can you say VISIO?) Please share, what size screen is the Visio in the livingroom (my husband said 48, I said 50 inch)? My son was also begging me for a flat screen for his bedroom at home just like the one in the guest room at the condo. (yeah right...anywho) We loved our stay and was sad to go. My family got a lot of sleep. Everything was clean, which I love. We loved our stay so much my husband said I should have checked to see if the family after us had cancelled so we could stay until Friday instead of at the crampy hotel. I didn't realize it until we left that I should have called you to see if they had cancelled because we really didn't want to leave. But I did make "Note to Self" to reserve early next time. I will be putting you in our vacation book for future visits and again, thank you so much for making our stay wonderfully comfortable. This condo is well-equipped, very comfortable and convenient to all the destinations we were interested in visiting. Primarily, we were here to relax and it was perfect for this. Our daughter lives in the area and ,combined with seeing her, the trip was exceptional.

This place was in a fabulous location. The beach was just a few minutes away but there were 167 steps to reach it........but very well worth it. It looked like there was construction going on so I think there may be some sort of boardwalk or walkway to use other than the stairs. The beach is beautiful and not crowded. Nahar who was the manager of the place was wonderful. He helped us with finding tickets to differect attractions as well as giving us info on the location of the fireworks displays. Once you book this place they are still available to help you. One small thing I would suggest is that they have at least 4 beach chairs available instead of 2 and an umbrella would of been good. We will definitely go back.

This is a really beautiful condo. We stayed here for 2 weeks and didn't want to leave! The kitchen and bathrooms were new and it was very clean. It is a short walk to the beach and there is a pool right across the street. We look forward to our next visit!
