After a breathtaking ,winding, mountain dirt road, which rises 3,000 feet over 16 miles, southwest out of Canon City, you turn onto the semi-private road that leads to this authentic and rustic cabin. Perched on the side of a hill at the end of the road, the cabin has stunning views of the snow-capped Sangre de Cristos to the South and West, Locke Mountain and the San Isabel National Forest to the North and East . Your nearest neighbors are 500 yards away, and the only sound you will hear is the gentle mountain breeze rustling the fragrant Pinon pines. Located at the midpoint of Oak Creek Grade (the well-maintained county dirt road), which connects Canon City to Westcliffe, you will have access to all of the restaurants, antique shops, flea markets, rodeos, bluegrass and mountain art festivals. Within a half-hour drive you also have DeWeese Reservoir for boating, water-skiing and swimming, as well as the Arkansas River for gold-medal fly fishing, rafting, tubing and kayaking. Should you desire a little more city life, there are also movie theaters, cafes with free wi-fi, bowling allies and pool halls. Or if you just want to curl up by the fire with a good book, gather round the old cherry table for some family board games, or star gaze off of the front porch - this mountain retreat is sure to refresh and revive your soul.

We choose to buy our Cabin to be a place to enjoy beautiful nature and to have a place to enjoy family and friends with out the distractions of daily life. Taking in the views, enjoying great conversation, great food, playing games, enjoying the quiet wind through the trees and smell of fresh pine, make for a great weekend or Holiday away. We also wanted to be able to hike, ski, and be in the great outdoors.

Positive Rating
Peaceful, quiet, and Spectacular Views. The Hunting, Fishing and Hiking are incredible. Cozy is how I feel when I visit. It will be a family memories or a memory with buddies and Girl friends. Skiing is Awsome, only 1hr and 45minutes to Monarch Ski Resort. Royal Gorge is a great Family outing for the whole Day.
