The JOURNEY'S END is located on the beautiful unspoiled Island of OCRACOKE, NORTH CAROLINA. In 2009 the check-in/check-out day is Sunday, in 2010 it is Saturday. While The JOURNEY'S END is located on a very unique and quiet part of the world, it offers many of the amenities that you do not want to leave behind such as nice comfortable beds(two kings and a bunk w/ a bottom double and sleep sofa),a fully stocked kitchen, two TVs and free wireless internet service for a peace of mind if needed. This home is very well maintained, clean bright and airy. There are several porches and decks including a sun porch to relax on and read a book or sit back and reflect on the days events.
This is a great home for a group to get together and enjoy each others company or find a spot of your own just to hang out. JOURNEY'S END is close to everything in the island village. Walking to the stores and shops is the thing to do on Ocracoke. There is also a complimentary boat dock for the guests of this home located at the Anchorage Inn Marina. Ocracoke is full of history and culture from the famous Blackbeard the pirate to the British Cemetery to the lost village of Portsmouth Island. You must experience the beaches that have been consistently voted in the TOP TEN in the country and were voted #1 by Dr. Beach in 2007.

Year Purchased: 2008
We started vacationing on Ocracoke Island over 15 years ago we fell in love with the island. We would routinely rent for two weeks or a month at a time. We plan to move to the island in a few years when we retire. Until then, we are committed to offering our guests the best possible vacation experience by keeping the home in perfect condition and equipped with everything guests would want. Because we don't live on Ocracoke now, all reservations are placed through or agent Ocracoke Island Reality so if our guest need anything during their stay they have someone on-hand to address the need.

Why the Owner Chose Ocracoke
We purchased Journey's End because the layout with the bedrooms on the first floor and the great room on the top floor offers fantastic vistas and although already large by island home standards, the openness, three season room, and two decks on the top floor make it seem even larger. Having four decks total also offers quiet time space for anyone that wants it. We like to open windows and experience the natural ocean breeze in the spring, fall and most of the time in the summer. Having the top floor great room makes open window living a delightful experience.
