I spent a delightful eight days here in late July, and I highly recommend this lovely, spacious loft. Situated in a quiet residential street, it is a seven-minute walk to Windansea Beach, and behind the house is a walking/biking path leading to the Village. Easy parking on the street. The loft is strikingly light and airy, with windows on all sides, and it has been planned with great care, from its understated but pleasing decor to all possible comforts. A good chair and light for reading, easy-on-the-back sofa for watching TV, desk for computer, daybed for a guest, and an excellent bed separated by a partition into its own space. The kitchen, though small, had everything I needed--and I cooked almost all my meals from great local produce. Nancy could not be more gracious and helpful. With her reasonable prices, this is a real La Jolla find!

We brought our teen and pre-teen to La Jolla for an summer vacation and this loft apartment was perfect.It was just spacious enough, with thoughtful details like beach towels, games, and even a few movies to enjoy. With a full-size fridge and a well-equipped kitchen, we prepared most of our own meals. From this location, it was a quick trip to Sea World and San Diego Safari park, as well as many classic California beaches. The neighborhood is nice, and we enjoyed walking on the community trail right behind the house.Would definitely recommend this rental for an adventurous family on the go.

"The Perfect Nest"....I love to travel and share my experiences so others may find the same joy. Nancy's loft is an awesome nest. Well appointed, friendly, warm, cheerful, happy,comfortable,super clean and QUIET! I love to walk and explore so the location was perfect. Unlike other VRBOs I've done, the space was actually NICER and LARGER than it appears in photos. The rental is very well appointed - from the rocking chairs on the ocean view porch to the well stocked kitchen. The location is great - it was a quick 5 minute walk down to the beach, less than a ten minute bike ride into La Jolla Village, and a 15 minute bike ride to Pacific Beach. Because Nancy generously lent me a bike, I only used my car once in 2 days! Nancy is a perfect host - she was incredibly helpful and totally unobtrusive. I would definitely stay there again!

My husband and I just returned from having spent a week in the loft. It was perfect for our needs. The apartment is nicely furnished and maintained but not fussy. Everything we needed for taking picnics to the beach was right there; beach chairs, picnic basket, towels, etc. It's an easy walk (about three blocks) to the beach. If you like to walk it's an easy 30 - 40 minute walk to the seal beach where you can get mesmerized watching them at play and rest. There are lots of great restaurants nearby. Our favorite is a very casual Mideastern place called Marketplace Grille. Best salmon kabobs and baba ganoush ever. Nancy is down to earth, has a great sense of humor and it's impossible not to like her.

Had a fantastic week-long stay at Nancy's Treetop Loft unit in La Jolla ! The unit is open and airy, nice and clean,with everthing that you will need for a stay at the beach. Aside from the neighbourhood dogs....the area is quiet and relaxing. Lots of parking available if you have a car. The local beaches,shops and restaurants are close enough to walk to if you like to walk. The 5 minute walk to the beach is so pretty along the side streets , with all of the gardens and palm trees to take in. There is also a path behind the house which will take you into La Jolla or to Bird Rock. All in all .....I would return to the Loft in a heartbeat . Nancy (and Chester,the cat) were very friendly and helpful. As were most everyone else that I met in La Jolla/San Diego. Maybe I'll spend my next birthday back at the Loft....

My husband and I have spent a week for each of the past two summers at the Treetops Loft. The neighborhood is pleasant and quiet, with plenty of street parking. Nancy, the owner, lives in the main house and is delightful. She has supplied the loft with the best of everything. It is well stocked and tastefully decorated. Beautiful towels and bedding. There is a balcony with a great ocean view. Nancy provides recommendations for restaurants and local attractions. The path behind her home leads to the village and it is a short walk to the beach. We just returned from the loft a few days ago and we already miss it. It feels like our home away from home and we look forward to our next visit. If you want to experience a most relaxing vacation, then a visit to the Treetops Loft is in order!

My husband and I stayed at Nancy's loft for a week in May. The property lives up to its description: It is light and airy yet cozy, comfortably and tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. We did watch a sunset or 2 from our balcony. It's in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to shops and restaurants. (We value quiet, and even with temporary construction noise from a tear-it-down-to-the-ground-then-build-it-back-up remodel across the street, we were happy with our stay here.) Nancy was very friendly and welcoming (she even looked up something on her computer for us) yet was not intrusive. SO much nicer than staying at a hotel, which would have cost more and we would have gotten much less. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in the La Jolla area.

This loft was perfect to begin with, and Nancy, the owner, made our time there even more special. I'd definitely recommend it, although I hate to give away the secret! Nancy - who lives in a house attached to the rental property -- met us on our arrival and helped us get settled. Then she left us alone unless we needed her. The loft had everything we needed and is very clean and quaint, complete with games, books, bikes and internet access. The location, just a few blocks from Windandsea Beach, offers a direct view of the beach and Nancy had ample beach towels and chairs. But several afternoons were spent on the balcony watching the world go by. The loft is in a great location, if you like quiet. It's on a quiet street with plenty of parking. If you don't mind walking, numerous restaurants and shops are within a 15 minute walk. And if you like to cook, the kitchenette is stocked with all the utensils, pots and pans you could need. For the 7 days we spent there, the loft was our home away from home.

We have stayed twice now at Ocean View Loft and really love it and intend to return again. The furnishings are simple and attractive. It has all the things one might need to use and everything is of good quality. Watching the sunset from the deck is a real pleasure. The location is perfect, just a short walk down to the ocean and beach or a pleasant stroll along the path at the back of the house takes you to the shops and restaurants. There is a huge pool belonging to the local school where you can swim a walk away too. Nancy is a charming hostess, there if you need her but never intrusive. We regard it as our home away from home.
