  Just spent an AWESOME weekend with "the girls" at this fantastic lodge. From the moment we pulled through the gate, we were overwhelmed with the lodge, the lake, the privacy, everything about this place. All 8 of us slept well, with 2 using the bunkhouse, which was just as awesome as the main house! Following a fun Friday afternoon, we went into Arlington for breakfast at Carolyn's. This too was a unique experience. We were treated like royalty and the food was fantastic. Of course, 8 strange women waking into a small town cafe will always draw attention ! The only down side to the whole weekend was a late winter storm dropping 4-5 inches on Sunday morning but we were actually wishing for more so we could spend another day there. Plans are already being made to return at a later date. This is at the top of our list for girlfriend getaways. Thanks so much to the owner for sharing his little piece of paradise with us. !!

  Rod Thank you for sharing your wonderful property with our family for a week. There was probably not an ounce of sunlight wasted between all the fishing, hiking, feeding horses, hunting turtles and snakes, reading on the deck, listneing to the song birds on the front porch, paddle-boating, and BBQing that we were able to do. The log cabin on the lake was just as breathtaking inside with the high beams, views from the windows throughout the house, and charming, lodge decor. We even grabbed an old VHS western movie of the shelf each night as we settled in. Most assuredly we will return - to check on the 4lb catfish and 4lb bass to see if they've grown.

  This is the place to go for a relaxing vacation. Our group consisted of siblings, 6 adults, no children, and we've already booked it again next year. It's a beautiful place, We even had armadillos in the yard, deer, a fox, and dogs. A couple evenings we could hear coyotes howling in the distance. The facilities were top-notch - clean, very nice, everything you need to be comfortable. We hardly had the tv on at all - too much to do otherwise! And our favorite place to eat is Carolyn's in Arlington - she's from Iowa, like me, and she can really cook!!! Can't wait for next year!

  We had a great time, thanks Rod! Beautiful place. Plenty of room to roam. Very clean and well kept. Only an hour and a half from home, we will be back for sure. Unlike anything else you will find in Kansas. Well worth the $. Thanks again.

  Amazing rental! all included... lots of room to roam and play, sport fish,paddle boats,treehouse, swim and feed horses. Home complete with everything you need. 6 adults/6 kids..very comfortable in main house w/ 3 bedrooms 2 1/2 baths. bunkhouse extra but not needed. Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days there. Be sure and eat at Carolyn's in Arlington! Super prices, good food! Thanks Rod for letting us enjoy your beautiful ranch. We have already recommended it it to friends. The Ivey Family The ad was a little confusing. Made it sound like the house was 4 bdr., 3 1/2 bath when actually that included the bunkhouse. We hopefully will be back!

  Our family recently enjoyed the beautiful setting and this clean, comfortable lodge.. Even though it was a very warm day, we spent most of Saturday outside because of the wonderful shade trees. Our grandchildren roamed the well- kept property all day and did lots of fishing with their PaPa-with lots of fish caught and returned to the large pond. We cooked all our meals there as the kitchen has all you need to cook and plenty of dishes, silverware, glasses, etc. It was a great, relaxing time for all of us and we will certainly recommend this place to friends and family. A big thank you to the owner from all of us!!!

  This is the place to stay when you need quality time with extended family. We spent a long weekend with 15 members of our family and had a terrific time. So much space to spread out and a beautiful location to enjoy. The log cabin has that perfect, rustic decor and the bunk house is simply charming. The kitchen was very well equipped for any type of cooking. The cable/satellite TV was welcome to members in the group, but we truly enjoyed spending time outdoors in this wonderful setting. The front porch, complete with swing, was so enjoyable in the evenings. Just an exceptional place to stay!

  of its kind! If you want privacy and a warm country setting this is it. The beds were comfortable, the home clean and the location unlike many others we've experienced. We fished off the deck in the private lake (no fishing license required) and on my first day caught a 3lb Bass. I released him alive so he's still there... we returned all the fish in fact because they were mostly small but the main point for staying here is for the wildlife and enjoying the great outdoors. We'll be going back!
