Relaxing Place to Stay!

Our family had a great stay at Casa Greta! The home was adorable and very clean. We felt right at home and were surprised at all the extra amenities, including board games, bikes, the grill, a wagon, beach chairs, beach toys - just to name a few! And the kitchen is truly FULLY-equipped. There's even doggie bowls supplied! It was a great space to relax both inside and out (as long as you wore some bug spray to keep the mosquitoes at bay). Enough seating for everybody! Our dog loved hanging out with us in the backyard while we were grilling! It was amazing to see deer consistently tromping through the backyard area. Really a relaxing place to go hang out...the hike to the beach got old quickly and would probably be the only minus since we had a young toddler with us (hauling all the beach accessories you need when taking young kids to the beach is a chore!), but if you're taking a childless trip, it's a nice 15-minute walk.
Recommended for:Pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

LOVED CASA GRETA. Have been staying in Harbor County rentals for years and this was absolutely the best. House beautifully appointed, terrifically comfortable. Kitchen fully stocked. Very kid friendly and dog friendly. Great firepit and back porch. Saw many birds and deer. Beach also great. Loved Black Pearl Antiques, Redemacks, Miller's Pizza. Guest Book is filled with great tips, maps and a wealth of info. Thanks for a great get-a-way! See you soon.

Thank you Casa Greta. We had the absolute pleasure of staying at your cozy home in April 2009. This was our first "family" vacation with our little puppy (only four months old in April). We couldn't have asked for more. The weather was lovely and we loved walking to the beach, introducing our puppy to the beach - hysterical by the way. The fantastic town of New Buffalo nearby and the delicious restaurants from the Stray Dog (my personal favorite!), Redamak's and of course some treats from Oink's. Thank you for the lovely stay - the beautiful rooms, comfortable beds and awesome sense of style with your decorations. Our little puppy even found a comfortable spot right in front of the fireplace. Thank you - can't wait to visit again! Sam, Kate & Olive

from guest email: Dear Hope - Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cottage! It was delightful! We enjoyed the quiet, the lake, the restaurants..BTW thank you for the treat to REDAMAKs we had not tried it last time so it was fun (good atmosphere) and we wnt to Da Barn...nxt door...very cute and nice displays... Your home is so well thought out...we loved the colors and the art and the the touches of Chgo (I grew up in a suburb and Steve and I wnt to school in Chgo)...the "Greta" signature book, the binder....the website... Margo was glad she could come too....Greta's "theme" just makes the whole place inviting and homey.... The window in the kitchen is perfect!! you feel like you are "in" the woods... it is difficult to believe you are actually in a neighborhood with homes across the street...the deer just walk around ! We had such good family time..... thank you again for allowing us to stay and also for the Redamaks certificate...we had good weather and I am sorry to say returned to humidity and rain and heat... In appreciation and best regards, Carol, Steve and Margo sends a wee-woof to Greta !

Our family loved our stay at Casa Greta. The cottage is on a beautiful lot, in a lovely neighborhood. We enjoyed the walks to the beach, the spacious yard and sight seeing in New Buffalo. We especially enjoyed "The Stray Dog" restaurant. The cottage was clean, with an open airy feel. We hope we can make it to Casa Greta again someday.

We just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had last week. Your place is so cute & comfortable & CLEAN...we felt right at home. All your suggestions were great! We loved Redemaks, it has spoiled us for any other hamburger AND loved Ozzie's (they have the best veggie panini), the WOW gallery. We enjoyed our time at the lake & met many nice people from your neighborhood, put the firepit to use 1 evening (as of that night there wasn't a stick to be had in your yard, our grandchildren did such a good job of picking them up), we went blueberry picking in Sawyer...anyway, we had a great stay and would love to come back. AND we saw 22 deer!
