We have a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom home in Lakeland, Florida in the Schalamar Creek community. Our home is equipped with everything from a full kitchen, 3 TV's, DVD player, stereo, BBQ, washer/dryer, bikes and of course your own golf cart. We are located in a gated community that boasts two pools, hot tub, tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, fitness facility, restaurant, and much much more.
We are situated on a golf course that is home to a Futures tour qualifying stop. Our course, as well as many others, offer golf and cart from as low as $20 in the low season to $40 in the peak!
Lakeland is also know for its many lakes, so if fishing is your hobby this is the place for you.
Lakeland is situated halfway between Tampa and Orlando. It is close to theme parks, outlet malls, sporting venues and beaches are only an hour and a half away. Lakeland is a safe peaceful community that has all the amenities of a big city.

Why the Owner Chose Lakeland
We bought in Schalamar because of the complex. Although it is an adult community, in no way could you consider it a senior community. The golf course is great, but there are also so many golf courses in the area that are in great shape and also extrememly reasonably priced!. Lakeland is situated between Orlando and Tampa which makings flying in and out very easy. DirectAir is now offering direct service in Lakeland airport. The theme parks are within a 30 minute drive, yet we dont have the traffice issues that the coasts and Orlando have to deal with. Lakeland also boats a very quaint downtown.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The park is very active and full of friendly people. A drink in the Caddy Shack will always involve a chat with someone at a neighbouring table or bar stool!

We have been in that area of Florida quite a few times and I must say this was the most relaxing stay we've had, it was nice to have room to move around instead of staying in a hotel room. The description and pictures tell it all. Your home is perfect, it had everything that we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We enjoyed watching the horses, all the bird life and the other critters flit around. We were a little disappointed that we didn't get to cruise around on the golf cart but it rained quite a bit.
Recommended for:Age 55+, girls getaway.

We had the pleasure of renting this property in March of 2010. Although it was a cool winter we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The description and pictures tell it all. What more is there to say! The vacation home exceeded our expectations and Schalamar is well designed,maintained and manicured. Neighbors are friendly and helpful. The facilities and golf course are excellent. Fish Fridays at the club,outstanding. Greg and Laura are very pleasant to deal with and truly their winter home is fully equipped,clean and well maintained. We would not hesitate recommending their place.
Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing.
