My husband and 21 mos old visited key west in mid dec and were very fortunate to stay at casa amor. The accommodations were extremely spacious and comfortable. I personally am someone who is extremely clean and wipe down every hotel, rental I stay in. This home was immaculately clean. The pool was a private oasis and enjoyed daily. The location is perfect. There is not one negative I can think of except having to leave. We hope to return in the future! The Beckman'sDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

There were six of us looking for a house to rent for the week of Fantasy Fest. We couldn't have asked for a better house to rent. This house was awesome! Location was great, the layout of the house was spacious and the best thing we all loved to do during the day and after wandering the streets at night was to hang out by the pool. Michel was a wonderful person to rent from. Thanks again, Michel, for opening up your house for us to enjoy!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We were one of three couples that joined in to travel to Key West during Fantasy Fest 2012. After much research, we decided on Casa Amor as our 'home away from home' - and I couldn't be happier. The excellent customer service was evident throughout the rental process, from the minute we put down our deposit until the day we were ready to leave. We were the first couple to arrive, at 11:30am on Sunday morning. Even though checkin wasn't until 3, Michel was happy to let us drop our bags and park our car so that we could go enjoy Key West while they were prepping the house. He was an incredibly responsive landlord. The only real issue we had was that the pool pump wasn't working when we arrived, but he had someone on site Monday morning, and when they realized the pump and filter system had to be replaced, he had the part they needed FedExed to the house and it was installed and working perfectly by Wednesday. All 3 bedrooms have king-size beds, the master is upstairs (spiral staircase) and also has a tub. Downstairs there are 2 bedrooms, one full bath (shower) and one half-bath. There is also a shower in the pool area, which one couple used all week. Note that the bathrooms inside have rain head showers which are nice, but the water pressure is a little low. The outside shower has better pressure. The house is beautifully decorated, has a large kitchen (fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, appliances, and some staples) a very large living room with a beautiful entertainment center (we did not use it all week, but it looked lovely) a large table that seats 6 and there is a dining area that also seats 4. We spent most of the time that we were in the house out on the relaxing lanai enjoying the pool and the company. The only recommendation I would make is for the two downstairs bedrooms - please add shades to the bedroom doors. We had people coming and going at different times, and while the stained glass doors were lovely, they didn't offer much in the way of privacy nor light-blocking for those times when we wanted to leave the foyer light on for late-comers. This is a home we would definitely consider renting again, and I would recommend to anyone. Michel, thank you so much for opening your home to us and helping make our trip a memorable experience.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our whole family (4 adults, 2 kids) had a great stay at Casa Amor! The location was perfect for all our sightseeing - walking distance to everything (unless you're following my dad in circles!). Such a relaxing way to wrap up our fun-filled days on the deck and in the pool. We were greeted by a cute baby iguana when we first arrived which was exciting. (but that was the only time we saw him and saw no other critters at all - if you're not a fan of such things). The house was comfy and had everything we needed to settle in and enjoy our stay. We'd also recommend breakfast pastries at the little French bakery on Duval St, key lime pie from Camille's just down the road, and fishing with Capt. Hook charters. It was a perfect family get-away!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Upon searching for open dates in 2013, I noticed I never gave a review from our last stay. We were married in Key West in the fall of 2011 and Casa Amor was the perfect place to stay for the best week of our lives. The owner, Michel, was very informative and helpful on all things Key West. The house is very spacious (plenty of room for 3 couples), as well as being tastefully decorated. With a spiral staircase to go up and down, the master bedroom and bath encompasses the entire 2nd floor. The back patio/pool area was our favorite place to relax. It features a pool with a waterfall, outdoor shower, grill (which we used to cook our yellow tailed snapper we caught down there), plenty of seating, and seemed very secluded with all the trees. We thoroughly enjoyed waking up every morning and enjoying our coffee out back while our 5 year old practically lived in the pool all week. Last but not least was the great location of Casa Amor. You are within walking distance of Duval St. and all the great restaurants and shops, but at the same time the house is far enough away from all the hustle and bustle to where it is very peaceful and quiet. Words cannot explain how perfect this place was for us. While many other rentals in the area didn't measure up for us in the past, Casa Amor certainly exceeded our expectations.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

The best part about a trip to Key West is the feeling that all your cares are three hours north on US 1. When the six of us got to Casa Amor, that carefree feeling started quicker than we thought it would! Reconstructed from an old bottle factory, Casa Amor is open, cool, and refreshing. From the shaded pool area to the high ceilings and polished concrete floors, it only takes a few minutes until you start settling into the Key West lifestyle. Three couples can enjoy a relaxing getaway here and enjoy both the amenities of the property and its convenient location to all the major Key West sites. We grilled steaks by the pool, played dominos on the patio, and relaxed in the open kitchen. We also walked everywhere, from the southernmost point to the Hemingway house to all the famous bars on Duval Street. We literally did not move our car from the driveway once. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience. We enjoyed the Hemingway Festival, the snorkeling trip to the reef, the bar hopping and live music, and especially the accommodations. Michel is a gracious host and will point out some restaurant recommendations if you ask. Make sure to try the Blue Heaven for amazing food and ambience! We all look forward to staying here again next year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

3 couples stayed at this awesome house for a trip to Key West in July. We had a blast and thoroughly enjoyed the pool! This house had everything we needed and more, was an extremely comfortable and well kept home. Owners were great to work with! Excellent location, close to everything. Recommend renting bikes, very affordable and a great way to get around the island. Would definitely stay here again and hope to do so soon! Thanks Michel!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We thank you for letting us share your beautiful home with us for the week of May23rd, 2010. It was absolutely perfect. The home had everything in it we needed and more. My daughter's 21st birthday was celebrated with her friends and family here. She loved the home and the area where everything was close in walking distance. My wife and I traveled from NY Last August to stay at Casa Amor to meet up with my family who lives in Miami. To our surprise, the photos on the site do not do the house justice. The property was very roomy, relaxing and very tastefully decorated. The Rooms were big and featured really comfortable beds and furnishings. As soon as we walked in, the feeling of "you're officially on vacation" takes over. The house offered amenities that rival any 5 star resort and the property owner was very charming and accommodating. The Beaches, boating doc, restaurants and attractions were all within a short walking distance of the house. we now plan to make our visit to the keys and Casa Amor, an annual family affair.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This house was lacking nothing that we needed to feel at home. The décor is tastefully artistic. And the surround sound home theater negates the need to go out to the movies. I highly recommend this house for all the reasons above but also i have to add that he owners are very friendly and accomodating. 2 thumbs up!!Did you find this review helpful? Being in real estate myself, I'm overly critical of properties.. particularly when they are not as wonderful as the photos and the descriptions indicate. This however was NOT a disappointment. We came down in a group of 4 and found the house to be the perfect distance to Duval Street (for nightlight); we walked everywhere. The only drawback (and it's a very small one) is that the pool is very shaded, so not necessarily a great space to 'catch the sun'. But it is private... and the perfect place to hang out and have cocktails (and we did plenty of that!). Definitely check it out... we'll be back for sure.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
