Les Rosiers is a traditional French cottage, beautifully restored, in the pretty hamlet of Les Bories, 5 kms from Montignac and 250 mtrs from the beautiful Vezere River. The accommodation is spacious, airy and sunny with comfortable furnishings and high quality fitments.

The heated pool, staying at a constant 25 to 26 degrees, is situated inside a beautiful old tobacco drying barn with sides that open to let the sun stream in, yet keep you shady when you want to escape the heat of the sun.

Great care has been taken to conserve the traditional elements of the cottage providing a comfortable home in which the owners take great pride. With polished wooden floors, exposed timbers, en suites to all bedrooms and a made to measure kitchen, the cottage provides luxury and comfort to make your holiday one of the most memorable.

All bedrooms are spacious and airy with comfortable, quality, bedding. The two double bedrooms have double aspect windows facing south and east through which the sun floods in. The third bedroom, with two single beds that can click together to form a double king size, faces east. The pretty views are across the small hamlet of Les Bories across fields to the hills and woodland beyond. All windows have shutters that can be closed at night or in the heat of the day.

The pretty garden, which is south facing and fully fenced, is full of color with a selection of mature trees providing privacy and mottled shady areas to relax and unwind.

Les Rosiers is just 5 kms from the beautiful town of Montignac with a wonderful weekly market, shops, supermarkets, post office, several boulangeries and some fantastic restaurants nestled beside the river in which you can sit and watch the world go by.

Montignac becomes a riot of colour and music fills the air when the World Music & Dance festival comes to town at the end of July with fantastic costumes and fun for all ages. The nearby medieval town of Sarlat (the gastronomic capital of Perigord Noir) is a must see, with a twice weekly market and more listed buildings than any other town in Europe.

Locally there are all sorts of activities for children, adventure and aqua parks, canoeing, cycling, horse riding, fishing, hands-on country craft fairs, forest adventure trails - even a chocolate factory to visit.

Surrounded by wonderful walks through stunning countryside, chateaux, caves, castles and rivers you will be spoilt for choice with things to occupy your day or maybe just relaxing by the pool.

If you are interested in the history, caves and chateaux of the area then a personal tour can be arranged. The bi-lingual owners are archaeologists and also run, personal, guided tours, offering an indepth knowledge of the area and it's history, so for them it is an amazing place to live. The tours can be individually tailored to accomodate visitors requirements taking in the places you would most like to visit.
