LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION --- stay at our summer home during the best weeks of the year. Our 3-bedroom, 1 ½ bath Lake House is located in SEATTLE on LAKE WASHINGTON only 4 miles north of the U of W, Children’s Hospital and University Village, and about 15 minutes north of downtown Seattle. Steps from the BURKE-GILMAN TRAIL, a 3 minute walk to MATTHEW'S BEACH PARK and a mile north of one of Seattle largest activity areas --- MAGNUSON PARK, it's a great location to take advantage of all that Lake Washington and Seattle have to offer in the summer.
Situated on 50 feet of private waterfront, the Lake House offers a very quiet and tranquil hide-away within the city, ideal for a couple or family looking for home style accommodations while spending a fun week in Seattle. Enjoy the quiet ambiance away from the city’s hustle and bustle, the beautiful sunrises in the morning from the patio, the serene setting in the tree covered lot. Go for a walk, jog or bike ride on the Burke-Gilman Trail. Arrive with your suitcase, a couple of bags of groceries, your bike or running shoes and some floatable for the lake and you’re all set.
THE PROPERTY - GRASS LAWN, steps away from the lake. Six person table at lakeside, six Adirondack lawn chairs with foot stools, and cloth hammock with umbrella for relaxing. HUGE DOCK with easy access into the lake (50' of waterfront) and mooring buoy. Teak steamer chairs on dock. Possible overnight moorage depending on availability. Dock consists of two piers connected by a lower float plane dock, ~ 1000 sq feet. COVERED PATIO with 180 degree view of the yard, dock and lake. Tiki torches. Teak table for six and Weber gas BBQ. Potted herb garden for your use. HOT TUB with a 180 degree view of the lake and Mount Rainier. Outdoor shower.
LIVING AREA is on the main floor. The open floor plan consists of an open galley style kitchen over looking the living area with wood burning fireplace, and full sized dining room set. KITCHEN is completely stocked with colorful dishes, glass and acrylic drink ware (for use outside), utensils, and stainless steel cookware, microwave, plus a Starbucks Barista espresso maker and bean grinder, and Warning blender to help you make those lattes and special summer drinks. Large stainless steel refrigerator with ice maker and water dispenser, stainless steel dishwasher and electric stove. ENTERTAINING BAR - 14' bar with four tall stools separates the kitchen from the living room area --- great for preparing snacks and meals in the galley kitchen while being part of the activities in the living and dining areas.
UPSTAIRS - Three bedrooms upstairs – two queen beds and one full sized bed. Each cottage white bedroom is furnished with colorful 100% cotton, high thread count sheets, down comforters and multiple pillows. LARGE ‘MASTER’ BEDROOM with lots of light, cathedral ceiling and great lake views, original built in drawers and closets, small writing/computer desk with internet connection, and LCD TV. BATHROOMS are stocked with thick cotton towels, matching looped throw rugs and shower curtain, hair dryer, and basic shower amenities. Full bathroom upstairs with a full sized tub/shower. Half bathroom on the main floor in the utility room area. COZY TV ROOM upstairs with soft leather recliner sofa and new large LCD TV and DVD player.
OTHER INFO - TV cable access throughout the house, wired internet access, and wireless network throughout the house and on the patio. Fir floors in entrance and main living area (no outdoor shoes inside please). UTILITY ROOM area has a full sized washer/dryer, half bath, and hanging area for wet bathing suits and towels. Side door entrance available for those coming in from the hot tub and lake. Located on a PRIVATE DEAD END STREET among waterfront houses on the east side of the street and the Burke-Gilman Trail on the west.
GARAGE – half used for one car. The other half is used for the ping pong table, foosball table, dart board, and mini-refrigerator. Lots of board games, croquet set and horse shoes.

BURKE-GILMAN TRAIL – steps from the garage - a 15 mile long paved pedestrian/cycle path extending from the north end of Lake Washington to Puget Sound, winding by Magnuson Park, University Village, the University of Washington, Fremont and the Locks to the south. To the north, Lake Forest Park, Kenmore and access to the east side wineries.
MATTHEW’S BEACH PARK – Three minute walk to Matthew’s Beach city park on private road – public swimming beach with lifeguards, swim float with a high dive board and low dive board, basketball hoops, children’s playground, and large grassy areas.
MAGNUSON PARK – One mile to Sand Point/Magnuson Park – motor boat launch, kayak rentals, sailboat rentals, sailing lessons, kite hill, tennis courts, sports fields, natural areas, community campus, etc.
UNIVERSITY VILLAGE - Four miles – Numerous high end retail shops and restaurants including Apple Store, Coach, Crate and Barrel, Northface, Williams-Sonoma, Tommy Bahama, Abercrombie, GAP, Eddie Bauer, Pottery Barn, the RAM, Piatti’s, Axis, Blue C Sushi, banks, and much more. Blockbuster Video.
