The Forgotten Coast, Scallop Inn II has the best seat in the house for the view of the Forgotten Coast, sunrise, dolphins, pelicans, seagulls, hawks, bald eagles, and monarch butterflies.

If you want deep water for grouper fishing within five miles this is the place for you. Launch your boat within 1/2 mile and tie it off at the dock in front of the property. Cast for pin fish and mullet.

Fish off the dock for flounder, reds, trout, and cobia. Scalloping and crabbing are one of the popular activities of the summer. Collect sea shells off Dog Island and kayak to Bird Island. Walk the white sandy beach or just sit on the porch and sip margaritas.

Shopping and dining in Apalachicola 20 minutes down the coast. Golf and dine at St James Bay.

  • Beautiful place!!! Look straight out from the elevated porch at the gulf, a little left at Bird Island, a little right at the east end of Dog Island. No better view west or east and very private with a fabulous dock. Hooked a redfish so big couldn't handle him!Enough water at low tide for our shoal draft sailboat. Sunsets are what you dream about, sunrises with coffee on the porch make you realize what you've been missing all your life! Thanks Denise for having us. Hope to return soon!   • Great views, great sunrises, the full moon over the bay was fabulous! The weather was hot but there was almost always a refreshing breeze on the porch. The house is clean, bright & roomy, and had everything we needed except food! The beach isn't as wide as further west, but the water is very clear with a gradual slope - great for wading and looking at all the fish and hermit crabs in the shallows. Lots of birds to study as well. Carrabelle is small, uncrowded, and extremely friendly (I hope bragging on it doesn't change that!) and we hope to return soon! Thanks, Denise!
