My husband and I love to get away from the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley and found this cottage online. Looked like a reasonable price and good size for us and our toddler. The owners made every effort to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. We loved the location, only 10 minutes away from downtown SLO, but secluded in the hills. This place would be perfect for a small family, or even a girls wine tasting getaway. We will be back for sure!

Cabin was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Comfortably slept three and entertained five. Views were great. Surrounding area was quiet. Owners were friendly and accommodating. Close to town with good roads. We'll be back for another visit.

We found the Libretto Cottage just perfect for our week get-away to the Central Coast. Things we most enjoyed, hiking in the Irish Hills and along the coast by San Simeon, renting bikes from Wally's Bike Works and riding the loops around the area and up to Lopez Lake, of course wine tasting around the Edna Valley, and eating out at Jocko's in Nipomo, Luna Red and Chiopino's in San Luis. The cottage was very clean and well kept, kitchen decently stocked, though if you are a serious cook we'd suggest bringing your own spices, etc., wireless worked most of the time. It was fun looking out across the fields watching the horses and deer. David was very helpful with any details about the cottage and was very quick at responding. This is a great vacation location and we would definitely consider returning since there are still a lot of things we haven't seen, like Morro Bay, Pismo Beach and the Paso Robles wine area.

We had a wonderful visit! The grounds are beautiful and the bed is super comfortable. Great locations as it is located in the beautiful Edna valley, but only minutes from Downtown SLO. We look forward to our next visit.

My daughter and I had a great vacation in San Louis Obispo area! The cottage is very close to SLO, airport, local beaches and wineries. The description of the property, photographs are very accurate, cottage is very well maintained-it was VERY clean, well-stocked kitchen with utensils, condiments, coffee-maker, microwave, toaster, etc. Very nice clean bathroom with plenty of towels, toilet paper, tissues. Gas grill outside-it was fun to grill out! Cottage is lokated on beautiful property, owners-Vanessa and David are very helpful and prompt in returning the calls. The cottage walls are decorated with Vanessa's artwork which is absolutely beautiful! We hope to return back one day-the location is so convenient to everything-less than 2 hours from Santa Barbara, 40 minutes from Cambria, Hurst Castle, beautiful drive of about 2-3 hours to Big Sur. We went hiking on Lopez Lake-about 10-15 min drive, visited several wineries-there are plenty of maps, guides, area attraction books in cottage to get ideas from. We really enjoyed dining at Corner View Restaurant and Bar, Big Sky Cafe in SLO and there are a LOT of restaurants to choose from and don't miss the Farmer's market in SLO on Thursday night-6-9 pm-B-B-Q, veggies, fruit, flowers-it was a great fun! We definetely recommend this property and area!

The fact that it has taken from last May until now to comment is no reflection on how wonderful our experience was in your beautiful cottage, and I was happy to see that you added a second place. It was beautifully equipped, very serene, could not have been more convenient to wine country, and was a very interesting part of California to visit. We have stayed in VRBOs all over the world and this was surely among the top.

The pictures don't do complete justice to just how nice this cottage really is. Very well appointed with a 'cooks kitchen' (including condiments & spices, should you forget them, as we did), a HUGE TV & almost every satellite station you can think of. Perfect location, as well. You can watch horses trotting around a gated field as you wash dishes and be greeted by deer in the back yard. Still, you are just a few miles away from a major grocery store, movie theater and big box convenience store, not to mention the historic village of Arroyo Grande. We will definitely be back! It's no wonder the reservation calendar fills quickly - priced right & WELL worth every penny!

We fell in love with this place and San Luis Obispo the minute we saw this property. It was confortable, cool and pleasant, beautifully secluded yet only minutes from town and the vineyards. It is a well appointed cottage that has a very useable kitchen and plenty of ammenities. I highly recomment it and we will be back.

We had great communications with the owner prior to our visit and were VERY happy with our stay. It is a perfect location about halfway between Pismo Beach for all the sun/surf you can handle and downtown SLO for shopping and cute dining. Perfect for a getaway to recharge the batteries. Very clean and really did have everything you could have needed. Would revisit as soon as our calendar allowed.

I (and the misses, of and on) stayed for about three months. The place has everything we needed to feel comfortable and right at home. The place was clean and had lots of character... Not the shabby kind. Privacy, atmosphere, and good energy! The cottage was great on its own, but the secluded outside area made it feel very roomy. The owners were great! Very friendly, respectful, and helpful, but only around when you needed them.

An absolutely perfect cottage nestled in the hills just south of San Luis Obispo. It was a great place for an extended weekend getaway with my fiancee. The place is very well maintained, with a cozy bed, a futon in the living room, TV with satellite, board games and books, and a kitchen with everything you need to make your own food. Beautiful outdoor patio has a table and chairs for eating and relaxing outside. The location is so convenient, just 10 minutes drive to SLO, Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, or the local wineries (and there are many).

What a pleasant surprise! A beautifully decorated cottage, surrounded by California oaks and interesting native plants, with full kitchen and laundry-room. Quiet and close to town, this was a very special place that we will remember for a long time. Hope to visit again soon!

Coming to San Luis Obispo for our daughter's graduation from Cal Poly, we needed a place where our family with grandchildren could all rest, relax & feel comfortable. This was the perfect setting, this beautiful cottage nestled in the trees, private and peaceful. With all the amenities; well stocked kitchen, bb-q, patio, it was a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable, fun or romantic vacation.

This is Patty who sadly must move on from this charming cottage in the Oaks. If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable and welcoming vacation spot away from the beaten path this is the place. Vanessa and David are wonderful hosts, you will definitely recommend this beautiful countryside home away from home to your friends and family!!

We fell in love with this property the first time we saw it! It's natural beauty and close proximity to Arroyo Grande, Pimso beach, San Luis Obispo makes it perfect for us. Patty our Libretto Cottage tenant of 3 years, says that coming home to this little cottage is like being in her own personal paradise! We decided to convert it into a vacation rental when Patty had to move to the Bay Area. We'll have interior shots soon. I like to call it the Goldie Locks cottage, because it small enough to be cozy, but not so small you feel cramped! We're very excited about sharing this with our guests and hope you'll consider coming for a visit. Our little cottage is smack dab in the middle of one of the most beautiful counties in the great State of California!Come see for yourself!!
