While staying at our Bodega Bay Beachhouse watch for whales while making dinner in the fully equipped kitchen and enjoy the spectacular view of the beautiful ocean sunset while lingering over your evening meal. In the morning take in the firey mountain sunrises from the master bedroom and back patio while sipping on a hot cup of coffee. Our property backs up to hundreds of acres of open space and has a spacious and private back yard. At the end of a long and satisfing day adventuring along the beaches and trails relax in our quiet back yard while you Barbeque your evening meal. It is a perfect spot to take in a luminous moonrise as you roast marshmellows on the open fire ring overlooking Salmon Creek Beach.
Carmet by the Sea Beach house is within minutes walking for fishing, tidepooling, sunbathing, hiking, sandcastle building and night time beach fires. There are books, games, DVD's for adults and toys for the kids. The Bodega Bay Beachhouse is 5 minutes north of Bodega Bay where there are fine restauraunts and shopping.
Surrounded by the Rugged Sonoma Coast State Beach with miles and miles of beaches and coves and trails our home is a wonderful place to stay while exploring the Sonoma Coast!

Why the Owner Chose Bodega Bay
Having lived in Bodega Bay for many years we had a really good idea where to look for our ideal vacation Beachhouse. Located in a wonderful little neighborhood community of "Carmet by Sea" just 2 miles north of Bodega Bay and 1 mile north of the local surfing beach Salmon Creek, we found our little paradise. "Carmet by the Sea" is a special neighborhood, quiet and serene. Since we stay at the property with our kids we wanted a place that was not directly on Hwy 1 yet still had awesome ocean views and was safe place for playing, walking and riding bikes.
Also, knowing that Bodega Bay can get busy in the summer months we were looking for something with only car traffic from local residents and guests. We found that when we stay at our Beachhouse we can truly "escape" and stay at our house all day, walk to the beach, light a outdoor fire at night in the back yard with out ever getting in our car! We love it.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Watching the whales spout in the evening time on a glassy still summer evening has really been a unique and special experience for us. In the winter time being so close to the big thunderous storm waves has been absolutely breathtaking as well as the breaks between storms when the Pacific Ocean and beaches can be at there finest!

Take a stroll to this quaint ocean cove beach, relax and watch for the mesmerizing waves crash over the rocks and rush on to the beach.
Gaze out at the sea for whales and seals at this wonderful wind protected cove, great for tidepooling, scrambling over rocks and fishing.
