“I could live happily ever after without ever leaving the master bedroom suite! Enjoyed working on my laptop from the oceanview balcony until the rain came. Moved inside to the comfortable lounge chair and worked by the crackling fire. Afterwards, I plan to have a nice bubble bath and enjoy my favorite news show in the jacuzzi tub. This place is gorgeous and the master bedroom suite is certainly “Presidential” calibre.

Atlantus Cottage is a breathtaking, luxury beach house featured in the 52nd ANNUAL SEA ISLAND AND ST. SIMONS ISLAND HOME AND GARDEN TOUR of homes. This is one of the finest homes on St. Simons Island and is located at beautiful Coast Cottages - featured in COASTAL LIVING MAGAZINE and home to the Coastal Living 2003 Idea House.
Perfect for two families with her two living rooms, four bedrooms, soaring ceiling and four and one half baths. She sleeps twelve. From the moment you step onto the travertine marble foyer and Brazilian cherry floors, you experience the grand scale of this beautiful beach house.
Finely crafted and appointed with European and Indonesian antiques, Atlantus boasts cast stone fireplaces, Brazilian cherry floors, granite counter tops, SubZero appliances, luxurious personalized bath robes and is decorated in a West Indies style.
FIRST FLOOR:
First bedroom with two queen beds and private bath, dual vessel sinks and monogrammed robes shares the first floor with two other bedrooms. Each has a private marbled tiled bath and jacuzzi tub. A dedicated children's bedroom sleeps four. Children have an open playroom with TV and DVD that is flanked by hand carved antique Indonesian columns. This gives the children space away from the upper level adult play areas. A utility room with full-size washer, dryer and work space completes this level.
SECOND FLOOR:
The second floor houses the great room with library, cast stone fireplace, surround sound theater, gourmet kitchen and dining room. Its twelve foot ceilings create an open, airy interior. There is a grand porch off the front of the house where you can view the ocean and enjoy the breeze. It's a great place to grill out at the day's end, dine with your family under the stars and listen to the ocean waves break on the beach.
THIRD FLOOR:
Walk up to a third floor that is entirely dedicated to a grand master suite complete with limestone fireplace, two private balconies, marble tiled bath with dual sinks and dual shower heads, huge new technology water massage tub, monogrammed bath robes and an additional washer and dryer. Take your morning coffee from the wet bar on the third floor and sit watching the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean from your private balconies.
THE ROOF DECK
After a day at the beach or golf course, escort your guests with favorite beverage to the roof deck rising over 45 feet above the Atlantic Ocean. Here you'll be thrilled by views of the ocean, surrounding marsh, and rooftops of nearby cottages from this spectacular height. The views are dazzling!

"Had breakfast on the second floor deck and watched the sun come up on the Atlantic. Sipped a glass of wine on your roof deck and looked out over the ocean and roof tops as the sun set.
