Our Coach House dates back to 1809 when it was built to keep the coach and horses for the main house at the end of the garden. It was converted to human habitation early last century, and recently underwent a major refurbishment, when new shower rooms and a new kitchen with a comfortable bench seat were installed.
An unusual feature of the house is that the main living area is upstairs. The sitting room, kitchen and bathroom each have large skylights making them especially light and airy. Also on the upper floor are two bedrooms each with fully fitted wardrobes, one has a double bed, and the other has twin singles which can be put together to make a king-size bed. Downstairs is another double bedroom and a single bedroom which can have an extra bunk bed put in - if there is an eighth member of your party under the age of 13.
The house is very centrally located and even has its own off street parking space. Less than a ten minute level walk, brings you to the shops, museums and restaurants of the World Heritage City centre. Five minutes walk in the opposite direction and you can be walking along the Kennet and Avon Canal, into the wonderful Somerset countryside.
While you are in Bath you really should visit the Roman Baths, so you can see how long Bath has been a famous resort. Then book yourself into the modern equivalent at Thermae Bath Spa, and relax in the only natural hot spa waters in all of England! Our guests love to watch the sun setting from the roof-top spa pool. |
