We have been coming to this cabin for 20 years! It started as a family vacation with so many things to do in the area as well as at the cabin, but now has turned into a second honetmoon! You can fish, swim, row boat on the water. The cabin has a kitchen fully stocked with everything but the food, a charcoal grill and is immaculate!!! It sits on the edge of Medomack pond, so peaceful and serene. We love to sit on the screened in porch eating dinner and enjoying the gorgeous sunsets. Most of the time you can hear the loons on the water. So beautiful!! We have vistied many of the neighboring towns like Damariscotta, Boothbay, Rockland, Camden, Wiscasset etc, and have enjoyed all they have to offer. There are great restaurants, festivals and local fairs just about every week in the summer. You must try some Round Top ice cream, it's the BEST! There is no better setting than this cabin in Waldoboro! It has so much to offer!

My husband and I have been visiting this cabin with our two children for nine summers now and have even brought a friend of our daughter's for the past four years now that they are teens and family time isn't their top priority! We can't say enough about this place. It's spotless, the kitchen is functional but bring along your own chef knives if you're a serious cook. We grill most nights and have enjoyed many a meal on the porch, watching the most glorious sunsets you'll ever see! Time can be spent sunning on the dock and splashing in the lake, or if you want to get out, Rockland is fun, as well as Boothbay and the museums in both Rockland and Bath. Rockland has REALLY good restaurants at various price ranges. The beauty of this place is that you can have a great time hanging out at the cabin in complete, relaxing solitude but there is so much to see and do in the area that if you want to get out, there are many options. We always make a point to go to Reid State Park where there is a nice sandy beach and terrific waves as well as a lagoon for younger kids. This cabin and its setting are truly perfect if you need a break from hectic, stressful everyday life. The weather can be all over the place (it's Maine) but my family looks forward to our Waldoboro vacation all year long. The only bad part is returning to the real world!

We thoroughly enjoyed out 1 week stay from Aug 14- Aug 21, 2010. The cabin was in excellent shape, well stocked kitchen, well stocked house, wonderful views, very peaceful, great location. Although there was a tv we never turned it on. The view from the cabin was great. There is a row boat with lots of different sized life jackets. We went out fishing & caught approx 40 fish. (We let them go but it was fun to reel them in.) My husband got up early several mornings to fish before breakfast. There are canoes & a paddle boat available as well. We needed a break from everyday hustle & bustle & found it here at this wonderful cabin. After 100 degree temps in NC we were grateful for some better temps of high 70s & low 80s. Perfect setting with all the comforts of home. Cell phone worked well too. The owners were very nice & the cabin was very clean. We hope to be able to come back again next year.

It has been quite a while since we stayed here but I thought it was time to write the review. My family actually rented this cottage twice a few years apart. We had the best time. The owners are very friendly but not intrusive. The cottage is meticulously clean and tastefully decorated. The supplies are fantastic and everything you could want or need can be found. The area has lots to see and do. We only traveled from Bath (20 mins.) for this stay-cation but felt like we were miles away from home. Loved the porch and screened in area. Spent lots of time reading, relaxing, boating and swimming. Now that we live in Alabama I am hoping to rent this cottage again sometime when I come back to the area to see my now grown children and grandchildren. This cottage is a must for a summer vacation! Thanks for the wonderful memories and hope there are more to come.
