Hilltop home above the rim of Spearfish Canyon. This beautiful 3500 square foot home is located 2.9 miles above the Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway, Highway 14A, which follows Spearfish Creek between high canyon walls. Breath taking views of the rim of Spearfish Canyon, Bear Butte (in Sturgis) and Belle Fourche can be seen by day and the lights of Spearfish can be seen at night from both the upper and lower decks as well as from various rooms of the house.
Spearfish City Park with walking trails, and Historic D.C. Booth Fish Hatchery is a short 10 minute drive to the base of our mountain. Devils tower is a one hour drive to the north, Sturgis is 20 minutes to the east, Deadwood, a historic gambling town is 25 minutes away, 40 to 45 minutes away is down hill skiing at Deer Mountain or Terry Peak, 25 minutes to cross country skiing and snowmobiling in the Black Hills National Forest, 25 minutes to the hiking, biking or horse back riding 110 mile Mickelson Trail. Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Harney Peak trail system, and the Black Elk Wilderness is approximately 90 minutes to the south.

Great House, Great Hosts

My family stayed in this beautiful home while we were having a family reunion in Spearfish. We loved the setting of the house and watching the wildlife from the beautiful decks and breakfast room. There were tons of birds--blue jays, orchard orioles, a hummingbird and many more, plus turkeys, deer and a red fox. It was hard to leave the property to attend our reunion activities! Also, the master suite was perfect for my mom, who has difficulty walking due to a chronic disease. The huge shower was handicap accessible. There were only a few easy stairs to get up to the main level from outside. The grounds were lovely and nicely maintained and the house was very clean and comfortable. The dear lady who owns the house was so helpful and easy to communicate with regarding the contract and any needs we had. Five stars from our family--we can't wait to stay again!

This home was one of the highlights of our trip. The home is truly beautiful with a amazing view - especially at night. The home had everything we needed and more. The owners are wonderful people and were very accomidating. Five stars! We cannot wait to come back.
