Frank Massa built Massa Cottage in 1930 for his bride, Adra. Frank was the son of an Italian immigrant family who came to the Napa Valley in the 1890’s and started the Massa Brother’s Produce Company on the land where Copia, the Center for Food and Wine, stands today. Frank and Adra Massa continued the family custom and farmed property just below the town of Yountville until 2001.
The Mediterranean Cottage on First Street, listed in the historic register, has been fully restored to its original elegance. The entire house is appointed with many of the furnishing and fixtures purchased by Frank and Adra almost 80 years ago.
Enter this traditional residence through the garden courtyard bordered with potted plants and feel immediately at home.
