Nestled in the beachside community of Lanikai in Kailua, this home is beautifully appointed and has all the creature comforts you expect from an upscale, beachside home. This is a fully self- contained, separate 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath cottage with a full kitchen and a dining area. The home is fully furnished from light bulbs, TV, DVD player, books, movies, an initial supply of paper products, linens, games, novels, pots & pans, dishes to all cooking utensils in a fully equipped kitchen,
We have a very large monkey pod tree that spans 2 properties and is home to large number of song birds (manu mele) - our morning serenade!!
It is a 5 to 7 minute walk to the world famous Lanikai beach which is the best swimming beach in all of Hawai’i. The town of Kailua is a 7 minute drive so we’re close to shopping, some great restaurants and the Kailua Beach Center which has kayaks and other ocean toys. The property is managed by life long Hawaii residents.

- Air Conditioning : We've installed a new split system AC unit with an air handler upstairs and an air handler downstairs also. There are ceiling fans throughout our cottage home if you prefer natural circulation.
- Linens Provided : we provide all linens. When you arrive, you'll notice that all linens have been professionally cleaned - we send 'em to the dry cleaners so there's no such thing as maybe . . .
- Washer : The new WASHER/DRYER stack is only for our guests in the cottage and is located inside the home.
- Dryer : The dryer is only for guests our cottage home as is the washer - just installed new carpet in the 2nd bdrm and new travertine in the downstrs landing!!! You're gonna love it.
- Off Street Parking : there is off street parking in our 'rain forest setting' for our cottage home that's within 15 feet of the front door.

My family (including boys 12 and 9) had a great week staying in Lanikai. Even before we arrived Nancy and Bob were helpful with everything from things to do to answering the most basic of questions. When we pulled up we found a charming and spotlessly clean cottage waiting for us. The upstairs area was a cozy place to eat and just sit and watch TV. Downstairs the bedrooms were comfortable and had plenty of room for all of our things. We swam at the private Lanikai beach nearby and also visited the larger Kailua beach and enjoyed the warm, clean waters. There's also a park nearby perfect for active kids looking to run around and play some catch. In sum, it was a terrific getaway for our family.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
