Just 20 minutes south of Telluride in the Ophir Valley, our beautiful home is nestled in a forest of aspen and spruce trees on a very private 17 acre home site along 800' of the Howard's Fork River. Enjoy reading a book on the back patio or soaking in the private hot tub while listening to the sounds of the river which runs all year round. Walk out the front door and you're in the backcountry, where access to world class skiing and hiking is just steps away. We have two horse pastures. Horses are permitted with permission. Ride the valley's many trails from your doorstep.
This custom home, built to Telluride Mountain Village standards, is approximately 3500 square feet, and has three levels of living space. The entry level has a comfortable great room with a 20 foot ceiling and a grand wood burning fireplace. There are views through the forest to the towering peaks of the Ophir Valley. The upper level features 2 bedrooms, each with ensuite bath and each with private views of the mountains. The master bedroom also has a soaking tub. The laundry is conveniently located on this level.
The garden level is a flex room which now features a full sized pool table, bar and entertainment center. The couch has a convertible queen bed. This room could easily be utilized as a third bedroom. There's a temperature maintained 300 bottle wine cellar on this level.
For arriving guests, there is parking for 10 cars in addition to the home's detached, heated two car garage.

We are Telluride locals and have been in town since 1997. It's a great place to visit and a wonderful town to call home. We spend time on our sailboat in the Bahamas as well, and so are flexible with the rental of our home in Telluride. The drive time to Mountain Village and town of Telluride makes our location in the Ophir Valley ideal, as it's extremely private and quiet, and yet it's an easy 12-15 minute drive to skiing, the market and town.
