Sea Escape is a comfortable beach view home in quaint Guana Seaside Village, on the northern portion of Guana Cay. There is a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean with it's white sandy beach on the east, and the Sea of Abaco on the west. The house faces a sidewalk which leads directly to the beach.
The home is well built with pine paneling throughout, exposed beams with high ceilings, and ceiling fans. It was built in 1998, and the interior was redecorated with charming beach decor in April 2007.
Besides the queen beds in the bedrooms, there is a daybed with trundle in the living area (sleeps two), and a fold out cot which is fine for a child to sleep on. The water is acquired through reverse osmosis and a backup holding tank is in use as well.
Sea Escape has a screened deck on the floor level, and outside stairs lead to an upper deck with a spectacular view.
Enjoy taking a 10 minute golf cart ride to the settlement, where there are swimming pools for the kids to enjoy at Nippers (which has a world famous beach) and Grabbers (the perfect place to dine while watching the sun set over the Sea of Abaco).
Orchid Bay Marina and Docksiders are also great restaurants to have a delicious meal with beautiful views and a nice atmosphere. There is a small grocery store on the island if you like to cook at home!
Dive Guana provides snorkeling, kayaking, and bike rentals. It is also fun to take ferry rides to the neighboring islands. A favorite of our family is climbing the lighthouse at Hope Town. Charter deep sea fishing is available on the island as well as boat rentals.
Sea Escape is owned by Cindy and Rob Greene. Our children, Kristen (13) and Ben (9) think it is paradise! They enjoy shelling, boogie boarding, and looking for sea turtle nests. Ben likes to catch hermit crabs (which are abundant!), and we all like to roast hot dogs and marshmallows over a beach fire at night. Guana Cay is a great place for a family vacation. |
