Located just a short walk from historic Breckenridge with its mining heritage, our ski villa can be the cornerstone for a holiday in the world renown Rocky Mountains.

The deck overlooks a 1/2 acre of 'open space' with privacy uncommon to a ski area property. The deck also has comfortable log seating for two.

Why the Owner Chose Highlander
After looking at properties for over three years around Summit County, our unit at the Highlander came avaialable. We bought it over the weekend from a former P&G executive.
We love the location of the Highlander i.e. steps from the Snowflake trailhead & chairlift as well as amenities of the Blue Sky Lodge (health spa, ski rentals, storage) while also only 3 blocks from the center of Breckenridge.
The Highlander is a diverse and global community with professionals from all walks of life and the world. We share a love of skiing, the mountains and zest for life.
We love Breckenridge because of:
** its authentic and colorful history
** the well preserved Victorian architecture
** the abundant and diverse options for dining
** the art & photography galleries
** the 4-season choices for adult & child activities
** the plentiful snowfall
** the very friendly locals
** the fascinating people it attracts from around the world
Each season in Breckenridge is special:
** During the ski season, there's 300" of snow, 5 holidays to celebrate as a family as well as Breck's Ulr Festival and the International Ice Sculpting Competition in January
** Mud-season beckons a walk with coffee to the nearby mountain streams, beaver ponds and private lake; We also look forward to the independent films of the Breckenridge Film Festival
** Summer, our favorite, features all the activities of a destination vacation including art festivals on the 4th and Labor Day weekends
** In the Autumn there's Oktoberfest, spectacular aspen colors, crisp mountain air and the anticipation of another ski season
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
** Our home is not a rental unit but rather our home that we rent to guests that appreciate it like we do:
** With 2400 sq ft spread over 3 levels it has an open, spacious, mountain home feel but with privacy for sleeping
** We have new Colorado slate flooring with radiant heat throughout the mai floor of the home
** It’s the most secluded of all the Highlander subdivision townhomes from the road (and bus noise)
** Its steps away from the Snowflake chair lift and local bus stop; the no fees bus can take you nearby Frisco, the outlet (discount) stores of Silverthorne, the nearby ski resorts (Copper, Keystone and A-Basin) and the Breckenridge grocery store
** The private deck & hot tub overlooks an adjacent open area with native plantings and the town of Breckenridge; at night, it also has a great view of the Milky Way…perfect with a glass of wine
** It's impeccably clean e.g. the heated garage floor was sealed in a light color, the 2 redwood decks & hot tub were recently re-stained
** Though a car is not necessary, the heated garage has room for putting on/taking off boots and storing skis
** We can arrange to have you meet our Breckenridge friends that are world renown artists, own specialty boutique shops or provide discounted professional ski/snowboard lessons, dinner sleigh rides, snowmobile tours, ski rentals, spa treatments, photography field trips, etc
Discouts are available for ski passes, Charter Ski/Snowboard Rentals and at the Blue Sage Day Spa
At the private heated indoor/outdoor pool are lounge chairs, 3 hot tubs, changing facilities and a life guard. (Alcoholic beverages are permitted).
Downtown Breckenridge's town plaza where there's the event pavillion, visitor's center, Christmas tree, history museum, ice sculptures, shops and restaurants. Approx. 5-10 minute walk from the ski villa.
Site of International Snow Sculpture Competition, concerts, and musicals

We stayed at Highlander in Jan. 2011 and returned this Jan 2012. Highlander is a beautiful home close to the Snowflake Lift and within walking distance to town. We loved the hot tub after a day on the slopes along with the heated floors though out the home. Charter Ski Rental and storage is at the Snowflake lift just a short walk from the house. There is also a bus stop at the Snowflake lift that will take you anywhere in town. Pamela and Steve have put a lot of love and care into their home and it is reflected in all the amenities. They have been very helpful in making both of our trips to Breckenridge a remarkable family vacation.

We had the great pleasure of staying in this house over Christmas break this year. It was our first trip to Breckenridge and with so many properties to choose from, we felt truly blessed to have stumbled upon this one! From the moment we began the reservation process with the owner, Steve, until the end of the trip..everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The home is in a Perfect Location for lift access as well as getting to town. The layout, comfort and cleanliness of the home is impeccable and again having been our first trip to Breck...Steves recommendations for getting around, restaurants, spas, etc. Proved to be invaluable! We use vrbo a lot when we travel and have always had a good experience. This one was THE BEST! Thanks so mich Sparough's for sharing your beautiful home!
Owner response:The best thing about sharing our ski home is the chance to meet families we would never have met otherwise. They come from areas of the US and abroad I love to hear about, are engaged in careers that are generally a polar opposite to mine and have planned a ski holiday to spend quality time with each other. To hear them enjoy Breckenridge and our ski home as much as we do makes renting our home extremely rewarding.

Steve was very helpful and greeted us personally when we arrived. He showed us around their very nice home which is an end unit with a deck. By opening the windows you get a great cool breeze that was very welcomed since we had endured the hot DC summer. We used the house as our base to river raft, go on an all-terrain vehicle tour, mountain bike down ski slopes, and bike from Vail Pass back into town. It is very close to town for dining and shopping. I highly recommend this place and would stay again.

This property was perfect for our family. We were right across the street from the Charter Rentals, where I left my boots and skiis, and across the street from the Snowflake lift (rarely crowded). We drove into town when needed, even though only a few blocks away from main street. Parking was never a problem. Accomodations were great! Heated garage for your ski gear and car, and plenty of space indoors for them as well. Nice private hot tub big enough for all of us. Property was very clean, beautifully decorated, all the amenities we needed, quiet. Property owners were extremely helpful with recommendations of places to go and see and offered to stop by and discuss all with us personally! We had a great trip and would stay here again.

Location*Comfort*Cleanliness* - that's what we look for in choosing our family vacations spots and Highlander had it all! We have stayed at other Ski In Ski Out places that were crowded. We loved being able to walk from the townhouse to the ski rental, ticket booth and chairlift with NO hassles. It was a short, easy walk. The place is clean and spacious. The beds were very comfy, especially, the newly decorated Master Suite! Loved the heated floors and the relaxing hot tub! All of your recommendations were greatly appreciated! Everyone took great care of us. After a day of skiing - some of us girls treated ourselves to the Spa, next to Charter Rental- it was the best! Hope to come back again next year!

We had a great family reunion in this cozy home with a perfect location to so many activities. Just a 2 minute walk to the ski rental, lifts, buses & wonderful spa. A short 10 minute walk to a downtown filled with charm, nice people and great restaurants. The home was nicely decorated and had very comfortable beds. Steve & Pam were very caring hosts before our arrival that made our trip so enjoyable. Thanks so much!!!

Our family enjoyed staying at the Highlander Villa very much. We have spent Christmas and New Years there, likely the busiest time of the years. A great benefit of the location is the chair lift accross the road, which allowed us to avoid the crowds at the bases. The place is cozy, well equipped and offers plenty of space. Pamela and Steve were very helpful in explaining everything and giving us suggestions. The town of Breckenrige is charming and offers very good restaurants for everybody (Sushi was fantastic). We enjoyed that the town has a historic background and not being an "artificial" ski resort (even if historic means a different thing to us, living in Germany). The option of driving to the other ski-resorts of the area for day trips was also a factor for us.

We really enjoyed our Breckenridge stay. Our place was roomy, nicely decorated, clean, and extremely convenient to the ski rental shop, slopes, and an easy walk to downtown Breckenridge. In addition, we really enjoyed soaking in the nice hot tub after skiing all day. It is a great family home that includes incredible surroundings!

We really enjoyed our stay at your home in Breckenridge (April 2009). The home was very comfortable and we enjoyed the movies and board games that were there. We also appreciated having a BBQ and hot tub to use on the deck. The ease of renting and storing skis/snowboards at the rental shop across the street was fabulous as well as being able to buy lift tickets and catch the lift there. Your suggestions for restaurants and general navigation around Breck were very helpful too.
