The site of Casa Punta Vista was established more than thirty five years ago on one of the most spectacular points in all of Costa Rica . At that time it was a three day trip from San Jose and there were no paved roads or bridges on the entire Pacific coast. It was chosen by two individuals that had traveled the entire world and who were looking for something truly special that could not be duplicated.
This home provides an unforgettable getaway with spectacular unobstruted ocean views and mountain views. It is located high on a hill at the end of a cul-de-sac on 19 acres of land overlooking Playa Guiones.
It is a short distance to the beach yet offers the privacy of a jungle paradise. Being above the heat, dust and congestion of the low lands surrounding the beach it sports a constant warm breeze making air conditioning and insect repellent rarely if ever needed.
The beautifully landscaped grounds have numerous fruit trees: mango, avocado, papaya, lime and coconut. In addition there are innumerable blooming plants: Orchids, hibiscus, bougainvillea and birds of paradise to name only a few. Howler monkeys on an overhead trail as well as numerous species of colorful birds add a bit of animation to the already enticing surroundings providing an introduction to the uniqueness that is Cost Rica.
The recently built Spanish style home is completely furnished having two spacious bedrooms with private baths, vaulted hard wood ceilings and tiled floors throughout.
It has a fully-equipped kitchen and laundry room. Maid service is provided once a week and a full-time gardener maintains the property.
The 7 ft deep pool has an infinity edge and a deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It faces due west providing a venue for spectacular evening sunsets.
The house and property include over 900 square feet of porch and yoga deck as well as a separate ranchito --all are unique spaces for outdoor living and relaxation and entertaining.

Casa Punta Vista was just what we were looking for! Home was very comfortable, bathrooms, bedrooms and living area updated, and very "Costa Rican". The best part were the porches, views and spectacular pool! Saw monkeys go by every other day. Totally relaxing and within 10 minutes of restaurants and great beaches. This was our 4th trip to CR, and first time to this home. I would highly recommend, unless you are planning on coming in the first part of January because we want that date :) Also, the owners are wonderful people. We met them a few days before we left.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We loved this house - the views and surrounding gardens are absolutely breathtaking.We loved the pool too - the negative edge was a very nice touch. The well-stocked kitchen was easy to work in (ice maker = awesome!). Lots of spaces for hanging out and watching the monkeys in the trees. This is our fourth time in Nosara and know we'll stay here again next year!

Great location, views, property, large pool. Very large property so you get a sense of seclusion and space but you are still conveniently close to town which is only a few minutes drive down the hill. The property photographs and description are accurate, but there is nothing like actually being there in person to really appreciate the views and property. Well maintained. Monkeys and other wildlife will likely drop by each day. I would definitely recommend.

It is rare that a vacation property far exceeds expectations, but Casa Punta Vista is such a place. The villa is lovely, spacious, comfortable, private and secure. Located in a premier spot on the top of a hill, Casa Punta Vista has an expansive view of one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen - Playa Guiones. I enjoyed spending time on the large open porch basking in the sun; listening to the sounds of nature all around; and taking in the amazing vistas - including magnificent sunsets and star-filled nights. Casa Punta has a great "vibe" -- being both serene and wild at the same time. Swimming in the infinity pool in such an amazing setting was a delight. There is a constant breeze on this hilltop which makes a/c unnecessary and keeps away mosquitoes or other pesty bugs. A short drive down the hill are several beautiful beaches (each with a different character), restaurants, great yoga venues, a language institute, grocery stores and some interesting shops. Nosara is not "touristy" like other beach towns in Costa Rica (like Tamarindo). Yet I found the restaurants to be excellent (and abundant). The people of Nosara are friendly and helpful. The beaches are pristine because they are protected by an extensive nature preserve (so there is no building on the beaches). It was amazing to be on such gorgeous beaches with so few other people! A car is definitely helpful because the beaches are not really within walking distance of each other. One beach (Playa Guiones) caters more to surfers and beachcombers, while Playa Pelada is a better swimming beach and offers nice shade under trees bordering the beach. My friends and I took a couple of day trips -- went South to Samara and beyond one day, and North to Playa Ostinal, a black sand beach famous for being the nesting spot of giant sea turtles that come ashore to lay thousands of eggs on the beach. I hear there is a great zip line near Nosara but I did not try that out. Nosara is a wonderful "off the beaten path" destination and Casa Punta Vista the perfect retreat. I highly recommend this property which more than lives up to its description.

This place was beyond our imaginations. The views are priceless. It is so quiet and relaxing. Wildlife abounds day and night. Monkeys came around just about every morning. We also saw pizotis, an amardillo, iguanas, and raccoons. The home is very private, secluded, safe and secure and yet close to so many amenities. It is close to beaches, supermarkets, a gas station, a bank, activities, and restaurants. The sunsets from the patios were breath taking. Words just cannot describe the place. We were very sad to leave and want to return soon. We met the owners as they were staying in another house on the property. They were very kind and very helpful in providing suggestions to us during our first visit to Costa Rica. I searched for 2 months trying to find a private, safe, and secluded place to stay that was not far from activities. I believe I was very lucky in finding this place. Nosara is a beautiful community with alot to do without the tourist atmosphere and environment. No big hotels or high-rises. This is the place to relax and catch your breath.

Immaculately kept home and grounds made a truely great vacation for us in Costa Rica. Althought the roads make the trip to Nosara an "adventure", it is certainly worth the effort to get to this piece of heaven. A great spot for adult couples. Being without TV, cell phone, radio and newspapers was great. You realize how little you need anything but each other as you relax in the pool as the sun sets. I would highly recommend this property.
