Property has a $1,000,000.00 view and is nicely located for many activities. There is a heated pool for guest use. This has to be uncovered and covered each swim. The house disappoints.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners.
Owner response: This renter experienced a few minor plumbing issues which were easily remedied immediately. The pool cover does not need to be repositioned after each swim. The pool will stay warmer if it is repositioned at night. However we experienced an unusually warm January. So even that would not have made much difference. I genuinely believe this individual, who stayed alone with her dog, was lonely. She left almost a week early.

I just have to share the wonderful experience my family had in renting this home for vacation. We are from Upstate NY and vacation to Florida quite often. We have tried it all... fancy Orlando resorts, ocean side hotels, and even rented other homes, but this was by far our most enjoyable vacation. The location of this home is perfect and you will be overwhelmed by the beauty of the view of the Banana River. Really, you can't take your eyes off of it. The property offers the perfect set up to enjoy it too. The pool is large, well maintained, and surrounded by water views. Fishing is plentiful right from the homes private dock. Kayaking on the river is an amazing experience and there is plenty of seating both in the enclosed porch and on the patio to enjoy your coffee as the sun rises or a nice adult beverage as you unwind. And be prepared to see plenty of wildlife. Dolphin will swim right up to the property! We had dolphin encounters and sightings DAILY! So playful and beautiful they are in the wild. It was a highlight of our trip. We also enjoyed watching Manatee and fish. The house itself is comfortable and "homey". Another reviewer described it as "old Florida charm" and I couldn't agree more. It is much more spacious than the photos show. The furniture and beds are comfortable, all appliances are in working order as well as cable and internet access. You will have all the comforts of home and lack nothing. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, the owners are wonderful to work with and you are 5 minutes from the beach. You can't get anything better than this.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

We stayed in this rental in 2008 while our son attended Camp Kennedy Space Center. It was a short drive to Kennedy each day so it was in the perfect location. We stayed here again just last week and you really can't ask for a better vacation home! And let's talk about the location. THIS IS PERFECTION! The Banana River is so inviting you will find it hard not to STAY in the kayaks that are kept on the property for renters' use. The pool is a delightful retreat, large enough for a crowd, and is heated so that even when the breeze is cool, you can still enjoy an entire day in it! The house is the perfect definition of "Old Florida Charm"! The home is extremely spacious! Enough room for ALL your family-even when you need to get away from them for a minute! Only minutes from everything you need from grocery stores, to the mall, to the beach, it's all at your fingertips! I would like to invite visitors to look for "Buddy" the dolphin. Our daughter called him to the sea wall each day. You will know it's "Buddy" by looking at his dorsal fin. Buddy has a piece missing on it. We were amazed to see him AGAIN nearly 3 years later! Our daughter cried with joy when she saw her friend again! The manatees are plentiful, to say the least. They are everywhere! You have to visit the islands, just a few hundred yards from the dock. We spent time there fishing in the flats. We watched schools of redfish swim below our kayaks. But don't forget to throw a line from the dock. Our son caught 12 fish in less than an hour one day! He caught pinfish, sea trout, speckled trout and I caught a pufferfish! We even snagged a crab in a net! You can't ask for much more-and you won't want to leave to do anything else! Honestly...the most difficult part of this trip is packing up and driving away! But don't worry, YOU'LL BE BACK!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

My family and I have vacationed here two years running, and plan on coming back again this year. This spot is one of the best vacations destinations we have experienced. In the mornings we drive to the beach (10 minutes away) and come back to the house in the afternoons and lounge by the pool. Our first year we took a day trip to The Magic Kingdom and the second we visited The Kennedy Space Center, both easy day trips. This year – we are sticking close to the house – maybe. We haven’t seen Shamu in a while. Every morning we drink our coffee by the pool and are entertained by the dolphins coming in to feed on the mullet. They will swim along the sea wall and we never get tired of watching them. Early mornings my husband is off for fishing in one of the Kayaks. He is so very happy on the Banana River catching fish. We live on a lake and we are so busy that he rarely is able to enjoy his passion, but here, he leaves sated because the fishing is good and it is so peaceful. Iwould highly recommend the kayaks that come with the house – especially in the evening. The bio luminescence in the water is miraculous. Every time you dip your paddle in the water it’s as if you are painting the water with light. If you go out to the point you will see little light torpedoes in the water which are the mullet flushed by the kayak approaching. It is too cool! Finally, there are manatees. What beautiful lumber some creatures. I particularly like to kayak around the point and go into the canals where I know a family gathers to get fresh drinking water the homeowner always leaves on for them. I sat there for 45 minutes last year as they swam under the kayak and interacted with me. In a nut shell - try this home. It is reasonably priced and a great place to connect with your family.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.
