Enjoy views from the huge deck with an Eagle's Roost a few feet away. Fish or swim from the dock or snowmobile to the State's largest trail system.
This is a true Hansel and Gretal cabin experience, complete with beautiful stain glass windows and antique style custom screened in porch with hot tub, overlooking the beautiful gardens. This place is plush, cobblestone walkways, artistic stone fireplace, wrought iron fencing, handmade stone pillars and wood sculptures.
Pontoon boat for rent, cruise the lovely Big Sandy Lake and the Pine River (inquire).
We offer a smoke free environment. No smoking inside please.
We have a green policy. You must separate your plastic, glass. and paper products for recycling . if you choose not to use the bins provided we will sort your garbage and charge you accordingly,
If you have a pet you are responsible for everything including accidents,
All of our beds are new with TempurPedic toppers. If you have children who
might be prone to bed-wetting, we suggest you bring protective coverings. If there is an accident and the bed is damaged we will dispose of it and you will be charged.
Please do not touch any of the stuffed animals as this will damage
them.
Please do not touch any of the stained glass windows as they are
fragile.
Door with bevel glass needs to be shut very carefully, it is very
old.

Winter Rentals November through March $800.00 Renters pay kilowatt hours.
$750 Damage Deposit
Cleaning Fee from $150-250.00 depending on number of renters.
Cleaning fee will be reduced if the parties live the cabin clean.

Year Purchased: 2005
I am a builder and developer. I built my log homes myself. I cut skinned and aged the logs and with several workers we hand built the home. I currently have three of these homes, all different sizes sleeping 4 to 14. My other hobbies are collecting antiques and classic cars and motorcycles.
Why the Owner Chose McGregor
I choose to build on this property because it is in a pristine vacation area in Minnesota. It sits on Big Sandy Lake which is a fisherman's paradise and I love to fish. Eventually this will be my retirement home, and I have sparred no expense.
The Unique Benefits of this Log Cabin
This is a vacation paradise both winter and summer. National parks vacation trails snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, boating everything one could ask for. Also good restaurants and markets are but a few miles away as are several great golf courses. We also have a Bald Eagle nesting above our deck which happens to be the highest point on Big Sandy. It does not get any better than this.
