Fall in Love with South Haven! Now Booking for Sept/Oct 2011!
Year Purchased: 2008
Why the Owner Chose South Haven
My home has easy access to downtown South Haven, the gorgeous South Beach, the Kal-Haven bike trail, and is within an easy driving distance to golfing, antique markets, vineyards,U-pick fruit orchards, art galleries, and much more!
The Unique Benefits at this House
I usually start my day with a run (or walk!) into downtown South Haven and then along the harborfront out to the lighthouse. I can stop along the way for coffee and fresh bakery goods at Golden Brown bakery on Phoenix Street. Afternoons are for biking the lakefront or Kal-Haven trail, sunning and swimming at the beach, or taking a drive north on the Blue Star Highway and stopping in at the art galleries, vineyards, and antique shops along the way. There are also 3 golf courses within a fifteen-minute drive. More shops, as well as a wide range of restaurants, ice cream and fudge stores, entertainment at the Mason Street Theatre, and a wild and wacky ride on the Harbor Duck are all available in nearby Saugatuck and Douglas. Roadside places like What Not Inn are fun for casual dining and live music.
Walk or drive to the beach! Free parking along Monroe Blvd, across from Kid's Corner playlot.
The most popular restaurant in downtown South Haven is an easy walking distance from my home!
The 34.5 mile linear Kal-Haven Trail State Park extends from South Haven to the northwest suburbs of the City of Kalamazoo. The trail is built on the abandoned Kalamazoo & South Haven Railroad which
Owner's Map of South Haven
Hello! My name is Kelley and I have been vacationing with my family in South Haven since the early 1960's! Several of my relatives own beach cottages just north of South Haven but I wanted a year-round home closer to town. I am a school librarian so I use the home myself for long weekends through out the school year. I enoy the beaches, harbor front, restaurants and shops in South Haven so much I decided to offer my home as a rental destination. Please let me know if you are interested in learning about some of my favorite things to do and see in the area!
