What a special property and owned by special people! I would second all of the things that you read in the previous reviews. We have stayed in several VRBO places in three different countries, and this was one of the two best. So much attention to detail and so many extras like a bookcase with lots of books and cozy throws to wrap up in while you are reading. And even lots of sharp knives in the kitchen. Also, it was so convenient to have WIFI. Be sure to have Beth and Phil tell you about the history of the house. We also recommend asking them where they are performing; you might want to go hear them. Great fun. Although it is just off of the main highway, the cabin is far enough back from the road that there was no problem for us in sleeping at night. The little stream running through the grounds is charming.
Owner response:This review means the world from such inspiring, eloquent, lovely folks. This is why I love VRBO!! Best to the both of you, and THANK YOU! See you soon somewhere down the road!!

My wife, 2 year old son and I stayed here in Sept '11. We had a wonderful time!! The location is phenomenal and only minutes from Jackson and Teton Village and of course the park. Beth (host/owner) lives on site and keeps the unit in impecable condition. She has thought of every last detail and truly cares about making your stay memorable. I have rented from individual VRBO units all over the country and this is my first review to write as it really left an impression on me.
Owner response:I am so appreciative to this family for being fabulous guests and also for the spot-on suggestions for an even better experience for vacationers. I love it when guests let me know what they like and what they would like more of. This place means the world to us and our favorite thing is when people really do have a memorable experience, such as what we have had in this magical valley for 30 years. You and your family and friends are welcome back any time, so THANK YOU! Beth

What a great place, can't say enough fabulous things. My husband and I never took a honeymoon and have spent the last 20 years raising our kids. Our youngest is getting married this summer and we thought it was time for a long overdue and much deserved VACATION! Jackson Hole, we'll be back - the people, the weather, the beautiful scenery, the wild life (found in the Tetons as well as the Million Dollar Cowboy LOL) was great fun. So glad we found this little cabin to spend our time in, very homey, convenient to everything with wine, cheese, chocolates and grapes to greet us. Such a special place.....
Owner response:You two were the PERFECT guests, thank you so much...Welcome Back Anytime!!

Truly wonderful accommodations. The "cabin" exceeded all of our expectations and is on our list of vacation spots to return to. The owners and their sons were most gracious and bent over backwards to make certain our needs were met. As to GTNP and Yellowstone, there will never be enough words to describe nor days to explore these marvelous treasures. Thanks again guys!
Owner response:Wow, what a pleasure to host these amazing folks. They are a wonderful family, and fit right in. Thank you so much, especially for all the help!!

What an amazing place!! From the moment we opened the gate, we realized what a special place this was. The cottage is very quaint with special details nestled throughout. We especially appreciated the recommendations for dining, hiking, etc. that were provided and used them extensively. We wanted for nothing the entire time and would definitely stay here again! Thank you to our hosts which were kind and attentive to our needs.
Owner response:It was an absolute pleasure hosting this adorable family. They're welcome back anytime!!

Highly recommended, one of the most comfortable vacation rental experiences I've ever had! A cozy retreat, well situated and outfitted for a perfect vacation week. Easy access to the touristy town (Jackson), low key village (Wilson), and amazing outdoors of GTNP, Yellowstone, and the surrounding area. The four of us (2 adults and 2 proto-teens that generally get along well) fit well into the space - cozy but not cramped. Good dining options nearby and good grocery choices too for days you want to cook (and 25 cent homemade cookies at the Westside Market 1 mile up the road!) The house is on a fairly busy road, but it's fenced, nicely set back and so beautifully landscaped you really don't notice! The deck/gazebo, hammock, and pond-side chairs made for good lounging about on a lazy morning or afternoon with a good book. Owner Beth was very prompt and helpful in suggesting hiking, backpacking and camping options for 2nd week (when we weren't in the house). Overall a very comfortable relaxed and welcoming vibe to the place. Highly recommended!
Owner response:You Wonderful Family: It was a pleasure and an honor to host you and your talented crew. Take care, you're welcome here anytime!! Beth

I feel bad it's taken me so long to write about what a great stay we had in Wilson. From the second we pulled in the driveway we felt welcomed and knew it was perfect for us. The cabin is great and cozy. The cabin was clean and comfortable with a great bed with a great TV setup and wonderful bathtub. We did some shopping at the store which was very nearby, my husband was able to grill outside which was perfect for us. Beth and family were great. The boys actually took my husband fishing! We had a great stay and would stay again! Enjoy this wonderful place.
Owner response:These fabulous folks were perfect for the cabin. Thank you so much for the kind words!

9/12/09 What a great place to stay...very comfortable! It's conveniently located to spend your days in GTNP, on the Snake River or touring the Jackson Hole area. The cabin has all the essentials and is nicely furnished to make you feel at home. There's a nice bike path across the road for walks or biking. It was great to have two restaurants just a short distance away. Lots of good suggestions by the owners to help you make decisions about how to spend your time in this beautiful part of our country.

The cabin is cozy and beautifully decorated. There is also a wonderful private porch with lounge chairs perfect for morning coffee and relaxation. The cabin is perfectly located for exploring GTNP and the owners have given us great advice on where to go and what to do. We were also able to use bikes for a scenic ride on the nearby bike trail. Thanks for everything! Maya, Drasko, Ana, and Marko (NJ)

Wow! we never expected to discover what we found on the other side of the gate. It's hard to find an "oasis" in the middle of one of the most beautiful parts of the country - but that's just what it is. It's not just the "place" that is so special - it's the people that own the place that make it so special. We enjoyed 10 days here - and felt from the moment we entered that we were "home".

The cabin & setting is a special haven that completed our vacation experience in "getting away from it all" and yet perfectly situated for easy access to downtown Jackson and GTNP. Our hosts were more than gracious--really made a special effort to ensure our visit was all that it could be! We'd love to come back someday!

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful and cozy cabin for 4 nights. We found it to be quite centrally located with excellent restaurants and stores within walking or biking distance (great bike path just outside the door !) The cabin itself is so clean, comfortable and self contained that it was fun to just hang out there ! The cabin and the grounds have alot of character and you can tell are cared for by people who really care and it is true that once you walk in the gate, you enter a sanctuary . We highly recommend !

Our stay in this delightful cabin was lovely in every way! Perfectly situated amongst the trees in a picturesque area near Grand Teton National Park, this home is cozy and inviting. Special attention has been paid to detail in architecture and decor, with the result being a truly charming and unique retreat! The owners couldn't have been more helpful as we planned our trip, and we so appreciated their gracious efforts to make our visit to their cabin a memorable one. Our 3 kids have regaled their friends with accounts of the "amazing log cabin" they stayed in at Tetons. If you are looking for a wonderfully special place to stay near Jackson, you've found it!

We were absolutely delighted with our lodgings when we arrived about sunset... and stepped into this real log cabin under the pines. We sat on our screened-in "front porch" and watched the closing rays of daylight across the meadow out back, turn to voilet-colored night... We slept in the bottom "bunk" (a double bed upstairs) and were perfectly comfy... David got up and prepared a ranch breakfast before we went to tour the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone Nat'l Park every day. The little brook welcomed us back home... We couldn't have been more pleased with our environment... Good restaurants, too! Thank you, thank you...

What a lovely home you've created! The cabin was just perfect for us (family of 4). Simple and beautiful and delightful in every way. Next time we'll need to stay longer just so we can spend a few more waking hours here! We loved everything about GTNP and the surrounding area and your tips for things to do were great--float trip this morning, saw a mama moose and her calf! Many thanks for sharing your magical home and lovely energy with our family!

This special log home is beautiful, comfortable and interesting! There is an eclectiveness about it that we feel pangs of homesickness for. The music collection available is really special. Remember...these people are musicians. They know what they are doing in this department. The property this home abuts is wild (as an adventurous western locale should be) but patios and gardens surround the house and provide outdoor spots in which to visit or read a book in pleasant privacy. It is warmly lived in and an interesting place to cozy into after venturing out into all the outdoor activities Jackson has to offer. If you want to visit Jackson and stay in an authentic log home with SOUL, this is it. We were there in October when the leaves were golden but I can't imagine a season I wouldn't like to be in this unique mountain environment.
