Hacienda Azul is the perfect home for a true Mexican getaway. Even before you step through the front gates you will see that no detail has been overlooked.
Standing in the front courtyard you can hear the water trickling over the edge of the fountain, which upon a closer look somehow appears to be floating atop of the water in the pond. The striking contrast of the black iron against the blue and white paint, only highlights the turns and details embellishing all the iron work.
Once inside the home, surrounded by it's vivid colors you can see the eclectic mix of old and new. Furnished with traditional Mexican rustic furniture, the elegant dining room, crowned with it's wrought iron chandelier, has seating for 8.
Step down into the living room and you will find all the modern conveniences. A big screen TV, cable, channels such as HBO, DVD player, a docking station for your iPod, and wireless internet.
In the kitchen with it's deep cobalt blue talavera tiles you will find it well stocked with everything that you need to prepare your meals at home. There is a Whirlpool gas stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, garberator and cold water dispenser.
Upstairs the bedrooms are furnished with rustic Mexican furniture, and comfortable Sealy mattresses. Two of the bedrooms have balconies overlooking the pool, one with a king size bed, the other with a queen. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms with a shower and have been decorated with hand painted talavera tiles and sinks. The third bedroom has a balcony overlooking the front of the house, and has a queen sized bed. It's bathroom comes with a soaker tub.
In the backyard there is a large swimming pool with plenty of room to lie around and soak up the sun. After your swim, relax on the patio and enjoy a lunch cooked on the gas grill.
Hacienda Azul is centrally located and is within walking distance to most amenities. The grocery store is 2 blocks away, and the main plaza, where most of the islands shops and restaurants are located, is just 7 blocks straight down the street. It is not necessary to rent a car as there is a taxi dispatch stand half a block away and most taxi rides within town are only $2 - 4 dollars each way. If you do decide to rent a car, there is secured parking for your vehicle at the property, Throughout the home you will find both ceiling fans and air conditioning in every room. Daily maid service is provided for you every day, except for Sundays and Mexican holidays.
