The Beachcomber was perfect for our family vacation/wedding. Not only did it have enough rooms for both sets of parents and our siblings but the overall space of the house was remarkable. With so many people plus 3 small children under one roof it can tend to fill overcrowded, but this house never once felt that way. The view from each room was amazing and everyone loved having their own back door/balcony! The house was perfect for our intimate beach wedding. We had already made reservations at a restaurant beforehand, but the house has plenty of space for a reception there. The house came equipped with everything we needed except a grill (we brought a small one anyways). We enjoyed the Beachcomber so much that we never wanted to leave. We mostly hung out on the beach during the day and grilled on the deck at night! The only complaint we had was that the end of the walkway to the beach was more of a dropoff. It has a few steps down to the sand but then the steps stop and it's a steep dropoff of sand. For the wedding ceremony my father and husband pushed a lot of sand up to the end of the steps and added some nearby wood to form steps and that worked out fine. Overall, our stay was complete paradise at the Beachcomber and made my beach wedding dreams reality! We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We looked for a place on the beach that would house 4 couples with king-sized beds and separate bathrooms. This house worked perfectly for us. Kitchen was nicely equipped for cooking when we felt like it. Internet connection and TV satellite worked well. The steps for the the boardwalk don't actually go all the way down to the sand on the beach which was the only negative -- made it a steep climb back up. Had a small outdoor table with 4 chairs -- a little more outdoor furniture would have been nice, but not a major deal. Location was close to grocery stores and several good restaurants. Overall, a very nice house that was perfect for our "adult retreat."Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Had a wonderful time at the beach house. We enjoyed having family together and sharing our grandson's first experiences. There was lots of room for all of us and it was wonderful to see Dolphins off the deck every day. The owners were very gracious in answering questions and communicating with us in a very timely manner. The fish market down from Publix had awesome fish that we grilled out. Definately would recommend this property.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

Our group consists of 4 couples and we pick somewhere new to go every year. This year we stayed at the Beachcomber on Navarre Beach in Pensacola Florida. It was a wonderful week what with the private beach and beautiful weather. We each got our own private bedroom with king bed, bathroom and deck with view of the ocean. And the dolphins love to hang out right there at the end of our boardwalk/beach so that was a special treat. All in all, we decided that we will probably stay here again sometime.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway.

My husband and I rented the Beachcomber for our 3/13/2010 wedding on the beach. The house was big enough to accommodate both sets of parents, siblings and the bridal party! Wonderful views are every where you look. It is hard not to be in a good mood every day when you wake up to the gentle sound of the ocean. The beach is extremely private. No wedding crashers here. If you dream of a beautiful, tranquil beach wedding then the Beachcomber is the way to go. I highly recommend this house to make your beach wedding dreams a reality. My dreams were realized in that house and yours can be as well!Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

There is nothing I cherish more than being beachside without all the hussle and crowds. This was an ideal location on Santa Rosa/Okaloosa island-nice beach, close to stores and restaurants. Though not new, the house was spacious and had plenty of room for all of us (five adults and three kids). The house is fully equipped (washer and dryer, dishwasher, grill, tv) and has a spectacular view (plenty of pelican and dolphin sightings). The house is on the main road so you will have some noise from that, but overall its very quiet and if you're on the second floor you can't hear anything but the waves. I would definitely come back. Tip: Salt water gets on windows-bring a squeegee.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.
