Fresh, immaculate and welcoming, our sunlit 2002 mountain home sleeps 8. It offers spacious family living and a private upstairs adult zone: a retreat within a retreat. Rental includes quality linens and towels, free internet and free phone calls within the contiguous United States.
The living area flows from the fully-equipped granite kitchen (gas stove, cherry wood breakfast-bar) to the family area (52" flat-panel TV) where one long table expands to seat 10, and a smaller table seats 4. The top floor is dedicated to an expansive master suite with king custom log bed, equipped with a large TV and DVD player, and ensuite where two people can comfortably soak away the day's exertions in a large jetted bathtub.
A quiet loft overlooks the great room, allowing quiet reading time or checking into work.
On the living level, one bedroom has a beautiful maple queen bed; the bunk room sleeps up to four in a full bed and twin bunk beds.
World-class ski resorts are close. Squaw Valley, Northstar and Alpine Meadows are 20-25 minutes away. Several family skiing areas are between 7 and 20 minutes drive. The nearby historic logging town of Truckee offers a wide variety of excellent restaurants and specialty shops.
The Tree Haus is conveniently located to Tahoe-Donner resort amenities, which are available to you. Guest passes included in rental cover 8 people, provide access to, and discounted use of, all amenities (per day, per person. Under 7 years old is free). There are additional fees for skiing, golf, cross country skiing, watercraft rental at the marina, and the Equestrian Center.

Spacious Family Fun at the Tahoe Tree Haus
A great ski hill for families. Wide bowls, uncrowded slopes, great beginner terrain, excellent grooming and friendly staff - what more could you ask for in a family ski day? Lift tickets are very reasonable and there are kids' lessons available that include rentals and lift tickets at very reasonable rates.
A great rec center that has cardio and weight rooms, a variety of fitness classes, two pools and three hot tubs.
Lots of fun at the snow play area - sleds are provided, as well as fire pits. Hot chocolate available.
11 tennis courts, one pool (seasonal), playground, and Pizza on the Hill restaurant
18 hole championship course recognized for being the "Best Greens in the Tahoe Region". Guests of The Tree Haus enjoy reduced green fees.
Tahoe Donner's private beach on Donner Lake, known as the "Jewel of the Sierra". Guests of The Tree Haus can use the beach, rent canoes, kayaks or other watercraft, have a picnic or just sit in the sun.
In summer, you can take a trail ride or a riding lesson, and in winter the facility is a cross country ski center with access to 51 trails that cover over 100 km.
A great, family friendly ski resort with terrain that will keep everyone happy. In summer, go hiking, biking or check out the golf course.

This house was absolutely perfect for my husband, myself and our 2 children (ages 2 and 5)! I am admittedly very type A and a clean freak (as much as one can be with two small children) and this place was the most clean, well-appointed and organized that we have stayed in and we have rented many houses! Glenda was extremely professional, kind and prompt with all questions and inquiries. The house is layed out very nicely with a very lovely master bedroom and bath upstairs. The bed was very comfortable and my husband I both commented on how well we slept! Kids also slept great in the 2 other bedrooms on the main floor. Wonderful trail just up the road (great area for running or hiking). All around just a terrific home and owners! We will definitely be back!
