New construction located at 778 Marlin Drive directly across from the beach (second row) in between Point of Access (POA) 2 and 3. Home has old world feel like Charleston, SC with beach influence. The first floor has 10 foot ceilings that expand to 12 feet over the family room which has a rear golf course view (7th hole green Ocean Point Course). A comfortable sized screened porch has an additional table and chairs and an outdoor charcoal grill is located on the lower level. There is also a private dining room with seating for 6 and a breakfast table with seating for 6 and 6 bar stools.
The master is on the main floor with beautiful golf course view and a large master bath with a whirlpool tub and walk-in shower with a bench. The library with king daybed doubles as a study and provides quiet space for working adults. The library has a private bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Send your children upstairs: there are four bedrooms each with private bathroom with granite counter tops and each with its own personality! One has 2 full beds, two bedrooms have queen and twin bed, and one bedroom has queen and queen sleeper sofa. All bedrooms have TV with DVD player. There is also a nice sitting area with an awesome ocean view. The front porchs have four rocking chairs on each level. Game room on the lower level has pool table and TV.
Very reasonable off season rates! This home is perfect for a family reunion or large groups!
Fripp Island has 3 and half miles of unspoiled beach and you will feel like you own the universe! There are 7 pools, 2 golf courses and tennis courts available for use with the resort amenity cards. Our favorite pool complex is the Cabana Club pool with something for everyone.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
Fripp Island is the undiscovered gem of the sea islands (barrier islands from Charleston to Jacksonville). It is close to both Charleston and Savannah. I have been coming over to the island for 10 years and enjoy it more each time.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The house is across from the beach between Point of Access (POA)2 and POA 3 which has a wonderful section of quiet beach. You can hear the ocean and view the ocean from the rockers on the front porch. For a different view, you can watch the golfers putting the 7th hole of the Ocean Point course from the rear screened in porch.

I really enjoyed building and decorating this home. The upstairs bedrooms are designed for my 3 children, each with their own personality. Each bedroom has its own bathroom for added privacy. It is a beautiful home and I am sure you will enjoy staying here. I love walking on the beach and it is right across the street.

Where to begin.... The home amazingly housed 8 adults and 6 very active children beautifully. The home was HUGE and everyone was able to have privacy and the common areas did a great job with noise management. The upstairs front porch is where we spent our evenings, with the steady seabreeze and the ocean in view, words can not begin to explain how peacefull it was. The kitchen was huge and the garage fridge was a HUGE benefit! The home had a wonderful view of the golf course and we had so much fun putting the golf ball around after hours on the plush greens. The house came completely furninshed and was spotless! The icemaker didn't work, Fripp Island Mgmt brought daily coolers of ice (unexpected plus!) Having a golf cart was a must. It took a day to figure out the island, but we having the independance to jump on the cart and tool around the island was simply awesome! The only down note I would warn future guests, stay away from the BONITA Boathouse restuarant. This place was simply disappointing. Take a ride into to town for great seafood! Summing it up, working with the owners was wonderful and we appreciated all of the effort they put into her home. We hope to make this a yearly event! Thanks again!!!

We decided to forgo Sea Pines for a new destination and chose Fripp. Not knowing anything about the island, we chose this home and were astonished at our selection. Not only is the home in one of the best locations on the island, it has to be one of the top 20 homes on the island and that's not considering which of the top homes are available for rent. The home is perfectly appointed, has TONS of space and feels like a real five star experience. There are so many different areas to hang out and be together and apart, whatever you need. Each room has a great size bathroom to avoid all of the issues of sharing that are so typical in a large family. The kitchen and den are spacious and well appointed to give a great location for evertyone to chill together too. We can't wait to go back!

We had a terrific time at Fripp! It had been 16 years since we had last been to the island and we definitely were not disappointed! 778 Marlin Drive was the perfect place for our extended family of 15, ages ranging from 5 to 74! Everyone had plenty of space to spread out, yet the home is so warm and inviting. The owner was terrific to work with and quick to answer questions for us. Our one complaint might be the walk out to the beach...the access was very close...but the hike took 5-6 minutes. It was very hot that week and by the time you lugged all the beach accessories out...let's just say the ocean was VERY inviting! ; ) All in all, we had a terrific time and would highly recommend 778 Marlin Drive! Happy 50th Mom & Dad!
