Awesome

Guest: Sofija V.
Date of Stay: 08/30/11 Review Submitted: 09/14/11

Our stay in this condo was quite simply, perfect for us. The view was just breathtaking, particularly at night, and so wonderful to come back to each evening. Its location could not have been better; a well-stocked supermarket a block away, a diner opposite for some hearty meals, and its close proximity to the subway system and public buses made for easy transport around New York. Also, treat yourselves to a special dinner at 'Heaven' on W44th & 10th - great food & service!! We would absolutely return to this Manhattan condo on any subsequent visit to New York; and are more than happy to recommend it. The owner provided prompt and efficient 'customer service' from our first contact and was easily reachable for some extra assistance. Don't procrastinate; just book it - you won't regret it.

Worked well for my family

Guest: Chris R (Broken Arrow, OK)
Date of Stay: 06/13/11 Review Submitted: 06/21/11

We were in NYC in June 2011. The views from the balcony are Great! The condo had everything we needed, including a DVR which was nice to record any TV shows we wanted to watch in the evening. The only minor issue was that it would have been nice to have window treatments on the living room windows, since we used the aero-beds in the living room as a 2nd bedroom. The neighborhood is very nice, with a grocery store nearby, Dunkin donuts nearby, a good restaurant across the street. There is also a place called The Little Pie Company on 43rd, I think between 9th and 10th ave that makes these awesome pies (You can't miss it, you will smell the aroma as you pass the shop).

Million Dollar View! Worth staying here for the view alone.

Guest: Family (LA, California)
Date of Stay: 05/23/11 Review Submitted: 05/13/12

It is a year since we stayed in this apartment and we liked it so much that even now I am feeling compelled to write a review. First of all the apartment is in the neighborhood Hell's Kitchen. The fabulous view is to the north with unobstructed views of the Hudson river where the emergency landing of the US Airways jet happened a few years ago. The panoramic view is just as photographed on this website. And getting even better, there is a little balcony that you can step out onto and enjoy the view outside. It is actually quite a good little walk to Times Square, but we really liked that as we walked through what felt like a 'real' New York neighborhood and got away from the tourist traps. All the people we met in the building were very friendly and the people at the desk were very helpful when we had to fax some documents back to home. The apartment had all the basics (except a corkscrew!). I called the owner and he said to purchase and he would reimburse. He was very easy to deal with. We had two teenage boys with us and blowing up the beds was easy and they reported the airbeds were quite comfortable. I was a little apprehensive about that part, but it worked out just fine. We did not cook in the kitchen, but did use facilities to warm up leftovers from meals out and the oven and microwave worked well. The bedroom is rather sparsley furnished and could use a dresser (there wasn't one when we were there). Other than that minor complaint, we loved this apartment. It made us feel like real New Yorkers to come home to every evening and the view was stupendous. You would be hard pressed to find this view in a hotel for even close the cost of this apartment. Highly recommended!

Great deal

Very good accommodation, great location, great view. No bad surprises when you arrive. - apartment functionnal, clean, towels and sheets furnished. There is also a dish washer which is wonderful when you're on vacation. - location is perfect. 10 min of walk from Time square, subway... Grocery store at the corner, dinner place in front of the building.... We were even able to come back each day for the nap of our 2 year old son. - view was amazing. Too bad there was no chair on the balcony. Anyway we had a really good time in NY. For sure we will come back in this apartment. We will recommend it to our friends.

Great location, would recommend

Guest: Kate N. (Columbus, )
Date of Stay: 03/19/11 Review Submitted: 03/29/11

The condo was well maintained, clean, and had a great location. The neighborhood felt safe, and the diner across the street came in handy. The owner did provide good customer service and it was nice to have extra space of a condo compared to a hotel room. Air mattresses for kids was a plus as well as being able to save money by eating breakfast in room instead of a restaurant. Subway map found in room was helpful. I'd say for the market rate of places to stay in Manhattan what we received for the cost was pretty good overall. It wasn't like staying at a luxury hotel, but I'd rate it better than staying at your average hotel. I would recommend it.

So good they named it twice!

A fantastic fun filled 6 days in NYC with this apartment as our base. There are few words that are not cliché's to describe the view that actually do it justice. Breathtaking, awesome, spectacular, mesmerising and stunning are merely a few which spring to mind. A terrific location too, well within walking distance to many major attractions and venues. There's a very convenient 24-hour diner right across the road that do probably the best eggs benedict you will ever sample. Food shop on the next block which has a good range of everyday foods. Please be aware that the photos on this listing DO NOT do justice to the apartment or the view. If you are going to NYC and want the space and freedom that an apartment affords you, this is it! I had initially reserved a hotel but for for the same money, chose this apartment and I'm SO glad that I did. If I had to be critical I would say that the walls could do with a fresh lick of paint but I'm being VERY critical here and wouldn't want to detract you from booking this outstanding apartment. Very fast lift/elevator to apartment floor. All in all a fantastic city break holiday with a tremendous base for exploring. Our reservation contact was extremely helpful, quick with replies to concerns and available and very accommodating too (excuse the pun!). Go on, treat yourself and book this apartment today!

Best apartment we stayed at in the US

Guest: Richard (Melbourne, Australia)
Date of Stay: 11/16/10 Review Submitted: 12/05/10

We stayed at four different apartments during our stay, two in NYC and two in Florida. This high rise apartment was by far the best. Very clean, all facilities are up to date and the beds comfortable. The owner was helpful in every regard, to the point of repairing something we found broken within 24 hours of us emailing him. The position was also excellent. Four to five blocks from Times Square and the theatre district, close to a great supermarket and even a convenient Diner across the street for the days we couldn't be bothered making breakfast. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to family or friends. Thank you again, we'll be back!

My wife and I stayed here with our two daughters (9 and 6) and had a great experience. Everything was as described/promised in the listing. The apartment was clean and offered plenty of room for the four of us. The terrific 24/7 diner across the street was a really nice perk. The owner was very accommodating and responsive to our needs. We appreciate it!

Central location, AMAZING views

Much better than any hotel in NY that I've stayed in. VERY central with amazing views and a great diner across the road with loads of variety (especially for Veggies). Circle Line Cruises are 5 mins walk and are a must for any Big Apple virgins. 10 mins walk to Times Square?Broadway etc with lots of restaurants on the way. Concierge were very friendly and always helpful. This was a fantastic place to bring my fiance (a NY virgin) for a 30th Birthday surprise with the in-laws in tow. The apartment is easily big enough for 4 people with just enough privacy and the air beds are easy to inflate and comfortable. We had such an amazing time and will come back to this apartment on future trips to NY.

This apartment was absolutely amazing. It was better than described. The views were spectacular. If you’re a tourist and want the real NY experience this is the place you need to stay at. Connections to subway lines that run throughout the city are only a few minutes away and virtually any type of food you could imagine is available for delivery. Our host Jeffery was extremely helpful with information about the city and some of the must visit spots not listed in any tourist guide. We had a great trip and will stay there again next time we are in the city.

....wonderful accommodations while in NYC for our son’s university graduation and festivities!

Guest: Clinton (Orlando, Florida)
Date of Stay: 05/16/10 Review Submitted: 08/20/10

#178194 Part 2 Please allow this note to say “THANK YOU” for the continuation of our wonderful accommodations while in NYC for our son’s university graduation and festivities. This location too had a wonderful view of the NYC skyline as well as the Hudson River. Rising early each day of our stay allowed us to just enjoy the phenomenal view! At the end of our days we were able to take a leisurely stroll towards Times Square and fortunately restaurants were plentiful. There was no lack of choices so it made for a perfect city experience. While our days and nights were mostly filled with graduation activities, my wife decided to cook one night. A nearby grocery store had the freshest ingredients including baby bok choy! Your kitchen contained all of the kitchenwares she needed to prepare a delicious and beautifully presented meal. Our only regret is that we were not able to stay longer. Without reservation we endorse your condominium as a positive choice for visitors to New York City. This was a far better choice than staying in a hotel. From the ease of dealing with you we found our accommodations to be clean and the amenities available that met all of our needs. With all of the other things to contend with during a graduation week it was comforting to know that our accommodations did not have to be one of them. Thanks for being a large part of making our stay a pleasant one. We will definitely be in touch upon our next visit to New York City hoping to once again stay here.

"... this apartment was PERFECT!!!"

Guest: An Australian in New York (Sydney, NSW, Australia)
Date of Stay: 04/04/10 Review Submitted: 04/12/10

When my family and I planned our holiday for New York we all agreed the accommodation had to be a) in a good location, b) in a safe area, and c) comfortable for a family of 5 adults and 1 baby. And this apartment was PERFECT!!! a) We walked everywhere! It's so close to Times Square, Rockefeller Centre, Grand Central Station, The Chrysler Building, Macy's, a Subway Station, Restaurants, Cafes, Take-away, and has a supermarket just up the road. b) We all felt completely safe. We all walked to and from the apartment late at night and always felt safe. Even my Mom (aged 50+) walked by herself with baby late at night and felt safe. Plus there are Policeman everywhere who are friendly and even handy for directions. c) The apartment is beautiful! It's so comfortable and has everything you need. We cooked there a few times and the kitchen had everything. The kitchen and bathroom are new and clean. The main bed is very comfortable and the air-matresses (which inflate automatically in less than 2 mins!) are also comfy. There's a laundry downstairs and rubbish shoot right next to the apartment which we found very convenient. And last but not least the view from the balcony is priceless. It's beautiful at night time. We took many photos there! We had an excellent holiday in the Big Apple, which wouldn't have been so enjoyable had we not stayed in this apartment.

We stayed in November 2009 & had an amazing time. 5 minute walk to Times Square which meant it was easy to get to all the sights & shops you want to visit. Amazing views of the city and the river. Apartment was well furnished with everything we needed. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions we had before our trip. A visit to the local bread factory cafe on west 43rd & 9th for some New York Cheesecake is a must. And a night out at Jonny Utahs' next to Radio city for cocktails and a ride on the only free mechanical bull in the city is also recommneded :) The view from Rockerfeller is better than the Empire state as you can see the Empire state and Central Park. We did Rockerfeller by day and Empire by night. Our best holiday ever!"

The apartment is just as described. It was our entire parties first trip to NYC and the view is undescribable... the photos online don't do it justice... it truly is SPECTACULAR! The beds were all very comfortable. We stayed with 5 women and had a wonderful time. Very safe, easy walk to grocery and resturants. If you plan to cook yourself you will want to bring seasonings as there are none in the apartment. We will stay here again and would recommend this apartment to anyone!

This was a fabulous condo; it was big enough for four people. We were here, with my children, who are 20 and 17 and they had a great time. Walking distance to Times Square and the subway under the building. A supermarket around the corner, it couldn’t be better. The housekeep was a very nice lady, who was very helpful. I recommend it to everyone. And then that view. Priceless.

Stayed for 1 week in November and all went well. Great location, few blocks from Times Square ( plenty of great diners on route) and very handy for Restaurant row of 45th and 46th Streets and Theatre districts. Taxi way downtown only 20 dollars and Subway only 2 blocks away and Water taxi on your doorstep. Great views as per photoes and the SS Intrepid now sits down to your left hand side as floating museum. Apartment in lovely Block and very well maintained. Spotlessly clean and an abundance of utilities and household essentials. Bed comfortable and Airbeds also got thumbs up from users. Slight mix up at check in but immediately solved with one phone call, very impressive. Staff in complex friendly and would gladly return to stay at this very impressive locale.

The apartment is fantastic with views of the Statue and you can also just make out the Empire State building. And the one time we happened to be in the aprtment at sunset we discovered it sets directly behind the dining table. All the staff were very friendly and helpful as were all the residents we randomly met in the elevator. The concierge service was essential for us as our flight didn't leave until 8 hours after checkout. They very kindly allowed us to leave all our cases in their care while we wandered the city for the last time. The self-inflatable beds were very comfortable and the apartment was spotless. All cooking utensils were provided as well as cleaning products. There was more than enough wardrobe space for all 4 peoples clothing and cases. The location is ideal for getting the bus, train or ferry and the lights of Times Square are minutes away. You couldn't get a more central location unless you stayed in the subway. thanks again.

This place was actually even better than what it looks like in the picture. The property is located literally 3 minutes of walk from Times Square, and it is also located in a very safe area with a friendly 24-hour concierge. The view was stunning and everything was really, really great. I had to contact the management at one point at a very late hour, but they responded promptly in a very nice and professional manner. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was very nice with a marble bath, and the kitchen had everything that I needed. I would come back again and stay here if I ever had to come back to NY for a trip.
