You’ll be amazed at the elegance and warmth you feel when you take the lift and enter this spacious and completely renovated penthouse on the top floor of this Bourgeois building in the heart of Nice. You will love the light flooding every room from the 10 double-glazed French windows/doors leading to the balcony that completely surrounds the apartment, giving you wonderful views of the city and surrounding hills.
With 2000 sq feet (186 sq meters), you will have plenty of room for eight people to sleep in the four bedrooms that are furnished with hand woven bedspreads from Guatemala and Sardegna. Two bedrooms have queen beds, and two have two twin beds each. Your closet space will be more than ample, and all the floors are terra cotta tile.
Hungry? Just walk across the pedestrian-only street to the large new Monoprix store with gourmet food and its own bakery. It’s so close and easy that you’ll happily buy fresh bread at both breakfast and dinner time. Or enjoy sitting outside having espresso at the large café right next to your building. Restaurants, boutiques, outdoor markets, and great shopping are all nearby.
Back in your apartment you’ll appreciate your fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances: gas cooktop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. Your large pantry has all the pots, pans, cutlery and dinnerware you’ll need.
Then relax in your double-sized living room with its decorative marble fireplace and flat-screen TV with satellite connection. The spacious formal dining room has another decorative marble fireplace, and there is free Internet Wi-Fi service throughout.
One of your bathrooms has a large tub, two sinks and a toilet; one has a shower and a sink; and a third room has a toilet and sink.
Ready for a walk or the beach or sightseeing? Step outside and take the new tram line right at your front door. Or walk five minutes to the main Nice train station for quick trips east to Monaco, Menton, and the Italian Riviera; west to Antibes and Cannes; or anywhere in France.
Walk ten minutes in the other direction to the main Nice bus terminal, Place Masséna, and the Old City. A few more steps and you are at the famous Promenade des Anglais and the beach.

I would say the location of the apartment, its amenities and appearance is very accurate. It was very bright and welcoming. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals in the apartment and a Monoprix grocery/bakery was just across the street. If one isn't inclined to walk and see the sights, the tram is just outside the door of the apartment. We took a bus to the Rothschild Museum which has gorgeous gardens and a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean from the dining room where we had lunch. We took a tour bus through the old town, returned another day and attended the local "farmers market/craft fair" where I purchased some lovely souvenirs for my family. Then, we wandered through the lovely old town and walked back to the apartment. The weather co-operated and the sun shone every day. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who wishes to vacation in Nice.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I stayed in this lovely apartment with 5 friends. It is beautifully decorated and has comfortable, spacious common areas. The Wifi was reliable and we loved having use of a phone where we could call the States. We cooked several meals in the small, but well-appointed kitchen. Having a Monoprix right across the street was a big plus for spur of the moment ingredient needs. The location in downtown Nice was perfect for foot excursions and longer outings using public transportation. The Matisse and Chagall museums were definitely worth visiting, and we greatly enjoyed wandering the streets of the old town. I would recommend Nice and this apartment to friends and family and would gladly return myself.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This apartment is very comfortable and in ideal loccation: walking to old town and ocean promende is just 10-15 mintues away. Sunny, very comfortable beds. Fully equipped kitchen was a great advantage for cooking up great meals. Wonderful food shopping located within blocks.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Spacious and full of light. Great ambiance for romatic getaway. Plenty of rooms with good beds for women friends to gather and explore Nice. Kitchen is just right for cooking very tasty meals. From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. It was immediately warm and inviting, especially because it was so bright and spacious, overlooking the pedestrian boulevard. There didn't seem to be anything missing -- the kitchen and pantry had everything we needed, ready for large meals or just snacks. The owners must be gourmet cooks who entertain frequently because they thought of everything. The bathrooms were just fine, so we were happy about that too. Unlike many other experiences we've had in Europe, the bedrooms were all large and bright, with plenty of storage. There were six of us, and we had more than enough room utilizing all the bedrooms. The location was perfect because we were close to everything as soon as we stepped outside the front door. We walked almost everywhere in Nice. We walked up the street to the train station to take trips to Antibes, Cannes, and Menton. On other days we took the bus from the nearby bus terminal to St. Paul de Vence, Monaco, Eze-Village, Villefranche-sur-Mer, and the Villa Rothschild. We especially enjoyed walking across the street every morning to get freshly baked baguettes, cheese, and fruit. The enormous open-air market a few blocks away was full of local residents doing their daily shopping.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Terrific apartment & location. Very comfortable and nicely furnished. Easy to get to many points of interest. I would highly recommend this property to friends and family wanting a Riveria vacation in France. This is a great apartment that is centrally located to all kinds of transportation, no need for a car. We could walk easily to the train for out of town side trips. The area felt safe for our group of 4 ladies to walk at night. The grocery store across the street made for easy eat in meals. The apartment had all the cooking equipment we needed plus more. The apartment was very comfortable and the beds were great. Everything in the apartment worked including the WiFI. We would rent it again as we had a wonderful time and it added to our having some relaxing time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

First let me say that the desciption by the owner is very accurate. The apartment is large and spacious, high ceilinged and full of light, beautifully equipped and decorated and altogether comfortable and delightful. The location on Jean Medecin half way bewteen the railway station and the Mediterranean makes it walking distance from a lot of the sights and if you cannot walk, you can take the sleek modern tram. Definitely have a meal at Voyageur Nissair, three blocks away on rue Alsace Lorraine. Another great meal was at Villa d'Este on rue Massena. Don't sit by the street where they can smoke; sit inside (it is much bigger than it looks at first glance) where they cannot smoke. The service was great and the food very good. Above all do not miss the Chagall Museum (city bus 22 from outside Galleries Lafayette) You get a mini city tour as you go up the hill to the museum. The same bus goes on to Matisse museum (you can skip it - there is not much to see there) and the Cimiez monastery. It's fun to watch the boules players outside Musee Matisse in the park. Florian's Confisserie down by the port is worth a visit for candy lovers. You get to see the port and then you can walk up to Place Garibaldi and on into Old Nice. We enjoyed the Grand Tour de Nice on the double decker bus. The commentary was clear and we used it to get to the Chagall Museum. But beware - in off season the bus runs just once an hour so you have a long wait if you just missed it. i hope you will have sunshine every day as we did. Nice just sparkled and glowed and showed herself off.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+.

We had a delightful stay at this beautiful top floor apartment in the heart of Nice. Infused with natural light, lovely decor, comfortable beds & furniture, and a well-appointed kitchen, this was the perfect respite for our little group to return to after each of our explorations in and around Nice. Nice is in one of the most beautiful areas of the world and is a vibrant city. It is close to alpine ski areas, beaches, Monaco, and Italy. Public transportation is wonderful. A car is never necessary. This city is very tourist friendly, easy to shop at the local grocery stores, easy to order in restaurants and cafes-- English is understood. There are local farmer's markets. The beach is a 10 minute walk, as is the Old City of Nice with its historic medieval buildings, narrow winding streets, and unique shops.

Some of the other things we love: people watching at a sidewalk cafe, while enjoying a coffee or a meal! the views of the hills and/or the rooftops (from the kitchen and bathroom) -- so different from anything in the U.S., watching the seagulls swoop and dive from the kitchen window; the general ambience of this culture.
