The River Place is a year-round vacation house on the Red Cedar River. It is a 100-year-old, 2,400 sq. ft. log house with a large new addition that is situated on 200 acres of private woods and fields. You will find it has all been refurbished and has the modern conveniences without losing the rustic charm. You will have the opportunity to step back in time to a simpler lifestyle. Why not hike the wood trails, watch the soaring eagles return to their nests along the river and watch the deer feed in the fields before sunset? Situated on the Red Cedar River, there is over a mile of riverfront that can be explored. It has a dock and other landings as well. There is also a large covered pavilion capable of seating 75 people. Nearby around Chetek is a brand new retro-themed drive-in movie theater and several options for antique and gift shopping. There is also a bowling alley and several options for first rate golf courses, along with many fine dining and fast food restaurants. Chetek is situated 20 minutes south of Rice Lake and 45 minutes north of Eau Claire, just 3 miles off of Interstate 53. Its ideal location in northwestern Wisconsin provides plenty of local activities within a short driving distance.
