  We had a wonderful one week stay in the Huertas apartment in Madrid. Ana and Hector met us in the apartment, gave us an overview of the unit and highlighted explanations of some of the equipment. The apartment was very well decorated and furnished, with condiment and spices for cooking, along with sets of dishes and pots/pans. Their hospitality included leaving us water, juice, and milk in the refrigerator, along with a large bowl of ripe strawberries on the counter. Everything was extremely clean and neat; there were sets of towels and pressed sheets. The washer/dryer worked well for laundry during the week. We fixed salads for dinner and fixed some simple pastas. Cooking and eating in the kitchen was very pleasant. The location was excellent; we walked to all the major museums and sights. The apartment was on a walking street, with lots of restaurants in the area. The neighborhood and the building was well maintained, with a doorman and working elevator. We had fun eating in the San Martin market- beer, tapas, pastries, coffee,... We took a day trip by train to Segovia; enjoyed seeing the Roman aquaduct and had some suckling pig for lunch. We would certainly recommend the Huertas apartment to friends and relatives. Ana and Hector's care was reflected in the attention to details and coordination of the apartment.

  We stayed at this location for 4 weeks. While compact,everything you could need is provided and top quality. Ana and Hector are very helpful and prompt in their responses. The quietness of the apartment is a real asset given the busy neighbourhood. Madrid is a wonderful city to explore and living right in the centre of it makes the entire experience so easy and fun.

  I inquired about several apts at VRBO for my 2 1/2 week stay in Madrid...some of them were answered by agencies wanting all sorts of extra booking fees, cleaning fees, etc. Some answered that the dates requested were unavailable even though the calendar for the apts showed them fully available. I became leery of taking a chance putting money down on an unseen apt, then after reading so many favorable comments on the calle Huertas apt, owned by Hector and Anna, I decided to take a chance and made an inquiry. I received an immediate response from the owners, not an agency. The calendar was up to date and all they required was an email confirmation or phone call and cash on arrival. No extra fees at all. I found this very honest and trustworthy and can say, after spending 2 1/2 weeks in their apt and having the pleasure of meeting them, that all the favorable comments are well deserved and I'm happy to add mine to the list. The apt is as described, very clean, comfortable, tv, dvd player, wifi..all worked perfectly. The main bed is firm (to my liking), extra towels, all cooking utensils, 3 different types of coffee makers...I can't think of anything lacking. When I return to Madrid, this would be my first choice in the future. I would advise not to try and book at last minute, obviously the apt is very popular, so make your plans ahead of time if able. Thanks Anna and Hector, for maintaining such a clean and comfortable apt and providing such a nice, warm welcome to your guests.

  My husband and I stayed here in late June for 7 nights and can't recommend this apartment enough. We loved the location, easy to walk all over Madrid, we only used the metro to/from the apartment (Puerta del Sol) from Barajas airport and one or two other times. Very comfortable and such a wonderful respite from the hot temps, 100+ degrees that particular week. We found everything about the apartment top quality, comfortable and a great choice for us. The owners, Ana & Hector were very nice and we really enjoyed meeting them. We would definitely love to stay here again if we return to Madrid.

  Apartamento Cómodo, confortable, bien decorado y equipado y , sobretodo, con EXCELENTE ubicación. Ana y Héctor, así com Carlos, excelentes. Cuando vuelva a Madrid, no dudaré en alquilar nuevamente el apartamento.

  My wife and I spent 12 nights and were more than happy with the apartment. Hector and Ana both met us on our arrival, showed us around and got my wifes smart phone working with the Wifi. They later called us and wanted to know how things were going and if we needed anything. The apartment is comfortable,quiet and very well located. The people of Madrid are some of the most friendly I have encountered in over 20 trips to Europe. We plan to return. Charles Jones

  My wife and I stayed in this apartment for 6 days over Easter 2012. The apartment is in an ideal location for walking in the central part of the city, close to restaurants, shopping and the major tourist sites. It is comfortable, quiet and contained everything we needed. Our hosts, Hector and Ana were gracious and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment for a great place to stay in a beautiful city.

  I've stayed in many other vacation apartments, condos and timeshares and this place had everything and then some! Ana and Hector were so patient and pleasant; and Ana even let me practice my horrible Spanish with her. All I can say is: good people with a good heart and a fantastic apartment in a killer neighborhood.

  I cannot say enough about how wonderful this apartment is. Anna & Hector, were great to deal with. They gave us detailed directions how to get to the apartment from the airport, showed us in detail the apartment and had numerous travel info regarding Madrid. The apartment itself is cute as a button is a very central location, near the Metro, restaurants, major tourist sites and the train station. I would definately stay there again. Thanks for a great trip.

  It is difficult to imagine a better location than 12 Las Huertas. We enjoyed all of the activity in the area and even went to Cafe Central twice. The condo was very well equipped -- we had everything we needed. And we found the owners to be generous and helpful. Staying at this condo definitely added to our enjoyment of our time in Madrid. Thank you.
