Why the Owner Chose La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
In 2010 the building boom is still continuing in the Puerto Vallarta - Riviera Nayarit area, but with so many condos and houses now on the market, advertising is even more important than it was in 1996. We chose to build our house in Puerto Vallarta because of the year-round mild climate. We were rained out of Hawaii for 2 consecutive winter vacations, that doesn't happen in Mexico. Plus the exploring of different cultures and restaurants is so much fun. We've gone on multiple road trips each year to explore Guadalajara, Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende, Manzanillo, Zihuatenajo, El Careyes, Patzcuaro, Oaxaca, and next summer we're planning on taking our boat to the Sea of Cortez.
The Unique Benefits at this House
I think that two reasons we get so many returning guests and referrals is because we change the house continually - e.g. new furniture, new appliances, new curtains, new car, relandscaped garden - and also that the house is our home and has everything a guest would want. Separate line for the those Unlimited FREE phone calls; Wi-Fi; iPOD docking stations; HD TVs; satellite and DVD in every bedroom and living room; 180 movies; electronic lockbox; full office with computer, internet, printer, fax; numerous dishes and serving pieces for guests and parties of 50 or more. Nothing is locked up - it's all for our guests' use.
When you see Punta Esmeralda, be in right lane to take overpass towards "Riviera Nayarit," "La Cruz Marina."
When you get to the gas station, you are at approx. .5 KM. CASA PAROTA is at 1.5 KM
The cobblestone road to the La Puntilla development is between Vallarta Gardens and the La Puntilla strip of stores.
This 7-11 like grocery store is just across the street from the cobblestone road leading to La Puntilla.

My husband Bill and I built a house in the La Cruz area, in the gated and guarded community of La Puntilla. Little did we know in 1996 that this area was THE up-and-coming new area of Puerto Vallarta, to be called Riviera Nayarit. CASA PAROTA was also at the beginning of the internet rental business, which much to our surprise was a fast growing business. We just rented our house to cover the expenses, little did we know that we'd make a profit.

February 2009 Everything about this experience was more than I expected. Amy and her husband, Bill were extremely easy to connect with as we were getting dates to rent Casa Parota. Amy was always prompt in getting messages back to us with our questions about the house or the area. Very helpful and kind. The car upon our arrival was exactly where it was supposed to be and we were very happy to have a safe and big car for the week. A great benefit to this house rental. The house itself is gorgeous. The pictures look exactly like the house. The condition of the house is spotless and clean. Fully stocked. Good beds and bathrooms. The pool and garden area were breathtakingly beautiful. All the sitting areas were used! We sat on the deck upstairs for sunrise and sunsets and used the patio during the late afternoon for a cool down swim. The BBQ worked out wonderfully when we did cook but we LOVED having the option of Lupita, the delightful house chef. She is amazing and her disposition is very sweet and kind. I highly recommend her. We loved Sayulita and Playa D, as we called it. La Cruz was an easy spot to pick up fish, get Tacos in the Street and go to a few Blues Bars. Excellent music in La Cruz and it's so close to the house. We shopped at the Mega grocery store but really I think you can pick up most everything you need in La Cruz. A lot easier and more fun to be close to the “village life.” The weather was perfect, no bugs at night. We enjoyed the friendly neighbors surrounding the house and felt comfortable asking questions about the area. Very nice people. We loved our stay at Casa Parota and look forward to another week of paradise in the future! Thank you Bill and Amy for sharing your beautiful home! We understand why you love it there so much. This has to be the best holiday home ever! We booked our holiday again with Amy, who was professional and informative, answering any of our questions quickly and efficiently! There is nothing more we could have asked for at this home away from home! You just need to pack your clothing and everything else is already at the house! We brought 2 other couples along with us this time and there was plenty of room, lots of time around the pool, barbecuing and making margueritas. The guys enjoyed golfing at the different courses and the ladies relaxed by the pool and went on long walks on the beach. The shopping in town was a lot of fun also. I'm sure we'll be back for a third time soon!

Casa Perota was absolutely perfect! We thouroughly enjoyes the house, beach, views, as well as the canine companionship of La Puntilla. We loved cooking inside and out, sleeping in and waking up early, taking day trips and lounging, all of the above. This vacation rental is perfect for families, adults, children, groups, which ever you prefer. A HUGE thanks to Amy et all for the fantastic rental and most enjoyable time we've had in a long time!

Four of us stayed for a week at the beginning of December 2010. Everthing was fabulous and we were expecting to be impressed after seeing the lovely pictures. We were not disappointed in anything. We would definately go back and recommend this fine home. Went on a fishing charter from the marina that we had organized for a 50th birthday surprise. Loved Don Bidou's on the beach for margaritas (just past the marina). Perfect weather everyday. A true paradise!!!

If you're looking for peace, quiet, and comfort, this place is it. The house has everything you will need for your stay and the owners are so easy and pleasant to deal with. It's nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of PV proper and see "real parts" of PV. Some of my favorite highlights: - comfortable beds - the POOL is fantastic! it's so nice to have your own pool that is clean and beautiful. No need to put up with obnoxious people and their kids! - maid service every other day - peaceful, quiet, and well kept community - fully stocked kitchen - excellent customer service We will be sure to come back!

We just returned from a wonderful vacation at Casa Parota. Everything was beyond expectation from the ease of picking up the car at the airport to the well stocked kitchen and pantry to the pool toys and tons of thick beach towels. This house did not feel like a stale rental property, but rather a home. We didn't think anyone had a video/dvd collection that would rival ours at home, but the Welches have given us a run for our money! The internet access and satellite TV kept us "plugged in" whenever we wanted to peek back at reality. The biggest hit for our family was the pool. It was quite large and with 2 chairs set up at either end, a perfect water polo venue. I highly recommend Casa Parota to any family wanting a private, homey space.

We had the BEST time and the CASA made it perfect. The space of the Casa was GREAT and each couple having their own room and bath the privacy was wonderful. We were able to get cabs easy to head into town for dinner or shopping --and a FANTASTIC restaurant almost next door at La Palma (Vallarta Gardens) - best meal on the trip. The pool was exceptionally clean as well. We really chose not to leave but hang at the pool most days! But there are many close and easily accessible places to explore within walking or bus. The beach walks were fun - and never felt anything but safe. Our CASA owners made avail to us all amenities needed to complete our trip - private cooks too. We have been telling all our friends that they need to go --and we are already checking dates to head back! Thank you thank you!!

This was the best holiday we could have ever dreamed of! From the start, we knew that we would be well taken care of. We booked our holiday with Amy, who was professional and informative, answering any of our questions quickly and efficiently! The men enjoyed playing golf at different courses all week. The ladies lounged around the pool - soaking up the sun and the margaritas - what could be better. The cook fixed delicious meals - we especially liked her ceviche and shrimp/beef/chicken fajitas. I just got back into town and wanted to thank you for the wonderful time we spent at Casa Parota. The car was a real plus when we arrived at the airport. It was great to simply walk past all the taxi peddlers and go directly to "our" car. Same with the departure. We had a small key problem when we first arrived at the house. (it didn't work) I went next door and met Wayne and Laura who gave us a beer while they tried to track down someone that could help us. A very friendly lady named Michelle showed up and gave us a key that fit the door. We then went to find a place to eat in La Cruz, and ended up eating in a restuarant serving Scottish food. (go figure) I can't remember the name of it, but it filled the bill that first night. John showed up the next day to find out about the key situation and brought us new jug of water. Your manual was a life saver. We used it to find just about everything we needed. The directions were great and the descriptions right on. The intent of our trip was a birthday celebration for my wife and her mother. Your place was a real oasis to come back to after walking the streets of Puerta Vallarta, and driving to the small villages you pointed out in your manual. It was so nice to just jump in our own pool to cool off, and kick back with a cold cervaza. Lupe showed up a little early the day we were leaving. We cleared the upstairs so she could get started and tried to stay out of her way. We all agreed that we would like to try this again next year (since we're experts at getting around now) and hope you will allow us to stay in your home again. Thanks for everything. Amy, your rental was outstanding. We traveled with 4 adults and 2 2.5 yr olds and everyone was very comfortable. Specific items we appreciated were: - house location that was close to everything (we were able to get gringo food and local food at the WalMart in PV) but still very private and quiet (we were not looking to share our vacation with 1000 strangers) - a really good bed in the master suite (others may also have been good but I only slept on one bed) - a complete kitchen with small touches like an ice shaver (good for snow cones for the kids and maragaritas for the adults) - a car in great condition that held us all (including child car seats), including clothes for 8 days - a BBQ that made eating in a breeze - a COMPLETE book of things to do, places to eat/shop, contact numbers just in case of emergency, ... - resource down there (property manager) to help with the little things (we finished the propane so he got it filled up) - a house keeper that did a great job Our standards are very high and the house was perfect. We can't think of anything we'd change. Thanks again...
