Welcome to our custom-designed timber-frame home that local builder Derek DiVenere crafted to elicit the cozy atmosphere of a true mountain retreat, yet with an airy quality with all the modern conveniences. Exquisite craftsmanship and quality materials inside and out, combined with breathtaking mountain views seen from almost any window in our “green” energy-efficient home, located along world-class golf courses, make our home unlike any other in Teton Springs.
Our home provides access to many of the west's most enjoyable attractions, and is located 20 miles to the west of Jackson, Wyoming with year-round access, and 60 miles to the east of Idaho Falls, Idaho. The south entrance to Yellowstone National Park is 76 miles from our front door and the Grand Teton National Park Visitor Center is only 39 miles away. Family-friendly Grand Targhee Ski Resort is located 22 miles from our home, while the steeps of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort are only 24 miles to the east.
Our home is a spacious 4 bedrooms, 4 baths and loft, coming in at about 3,400 sf of luxurious living space, and 1,240 sf of covered porches and decks for true enjoyment of the outdoor wildlife, including a mama moose that roams the community, a pair of bald eagles that have a nest close by, and the foxes and bunnies that frolic along the golf course. We designed our home, with the environs in mind and with some of the best materials and systems available-- hickory hardwood floors, heated slate and travertine tile in bathrooms and entrances, a 30,000 BTU Quadra gas fireplace with stunning stone hearth in the great room and surrounds, a gas fireplace in the master bedroom that can perhaps heat the entire house by itself, a bubble bath tub and body spray glass enclosed shower in the master bath, a gourmet kitchen with Wolf/Subzero appliances (including a Subzero wine refrigerator to safely store your favorite wines at the proper temperature), Brazilian granite slab and limestone countertops, custom rustic cherry hardwood cabinets and trim, a true smart home with LiteTouch low voltage wiring, a wireless security system and CAT-5 wiring, a whole-house Russound and Bose audio and home entertainment system, and a wall-mounted 52” LCD HDTV in the great room and 32” LCD HDTV in the master bedroom are just a number of the features our home boasts. We also believe in being “green”-- poly-urethane insulation combined with a forced-air heat system, an energy efficient heat recovery system, and a ventilation system that exchanges the air 5 times per hour make our home the choice for the “green” conscious vacationer.
With our home and the beautiful surrounds you truly can imagine you’re living out of the pages of Conde Nast Traveler! Whether you enjoy reading books, playing board games, cards, or video games, watching movies or one of 150 satellite-fed channels, roaming the Internet through broadband, or simply relaxing in the solitude of a bubble bath, our home provides something for everyone to do or enjoy in the indoors—be as busy or lazy as you want.
Oh, but if you like the outdoors, the home, the community and the surrounds have something for everyone. From wild-life viewing from the home or from the covered porches, to world-class golf (note the courses in the community are private, but public courses are nearby), skiing, snowboarding, and fly fishing, to breathtaking hiking, horse back riding, and mountain biking, the Teton Valley offers it all.
For the golfing enthusiasts, the championship courses at the Teton Reserve, the Links, the Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club, and the Teton Pines Golf Club, and complete practice facility offer a golf experience that can be enjoyed by all.
For the fishing enthusiasts, more than 50 acres of ponds, lakes, and streams are woven throughout the community. Spend the afternoon fishing for Yellowstone Cutthroats a few minutes walk from the home or arrange a guided trip on the South Fork, Teton, Snake, Salt and Green Rivers.
For the hiking enthusiasts, hiking opportunities are virtually endless in and around Teton Valley with hundreds of miles of trails in the Grand Teton National Park, Targhee National Forest and Jedediah Smith Wilderness.
For the bicyclists, grab one of the bicycles from the garage and roam around the community. Or you can easily access the trails in the Big Hole Mountains or Targhee National Forest from Teton Springs. Both areas are well known among mountain biking enthusiasts and offer some of the most scenic and challenging trails in the western United States. From the beginner terrain of the Pack Saddle Lake Trail to the expert single track of Blacks Grunt, the hundreds of miles of area trails ensure an enjoyable biking experience for riders of all skill levels.
For the winter enthusiasts, the area is amazing! Family-friendly Grand Targhee is best known for one thing...SNOW...and lots of it! With average annual snowfall in excess of 500 inches, it's no wonder why readers of Ski Magazine named Grand Targhee the #2 resort in North America for snow. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is known for its steeps. Yes, this is "The Big One"...4,139 feet of vertical descent to the valley floor from the 10, 450 foot summit of Rendezvous Mountain. We’ve enjoyed both resorts and we know you will too!
For the dining enthusiasts, if you want a break form creating delights in the gourmet kitchen, the local fare offers casual to fine dining. Try the locally caught Cutthroat trout, or bison and elk at one of the local restaurants. The Forage in Driggs and Knotty Pine in Victor are several of our local favorites. Or perhaps enjoy a huckleberry shake at the Victor Emporium. Or drive on over to Jackson. The dining there is amazing!
We invite you to enjoy our home, as much as we do. We look forward to making your vacation a very memorable one. |
