We completed building our brand new 2 level vacation house in Twin Rocks a few years ago. Twin Rocks is just South of Rockaway Beach (about 15 miles north of Tillamook) - just 90 scenic minutes from Portland.
Our house is a 2 Bedroom 2 Bath very comfortably furnished house with a full kitchen. There is a 2 level large patio (one covered) with a lovely view of the mountains and has a charcoal BBQ and patio furniture.
****SEE LINK (near first calendar below) FOR ADDITIONAL PHOTOS****
Our comfortable house is less than a one minute walk to the beach. - one road away from the beach front- just steps away from the pristine quiet clean 7.5 mile Twin Rocks beach.
It is a perfect get away, a comfortable retreat, for a family or a romantic getaway in a quiet serene atmosphere. You will enjoy the secluded, peaceful & beautiful Twin Rocks Beach and the spectacular sunsets. Near Shopping, dining & beach & yet still secluded.
This is our vacation house, our family's pride – not a professional vacation rental.
Sleeps maximum 6 adults (includes 2 adults in sofa-bed) plus 2 loft beds (1 Twin; 1 Double/Full) suitable for 2-3 older children;

The previous reviews were right, Vik was great to work with-easiest rental yet! My 82 year old mother and 3 and 6 year old boys had the best time ever! The house was so comfortable the kids didn't want to leave the loft to go to the beach. We had a mini Thanksgiving dinner prepared at the house. Arrived, threw the turkey into the oven and walked to the beach. Great weather for November, only one rainy day which we spent in town of Tillamook and at the Cheese Factory, yum. The house had everything we could have thought to ask for, even a nice welcome basket with goodies for the kids which they loved. We all enjoyed the games and house/beach toys provided for the kids. The home was very clean and had a wonderfully supplied kitchen. We can't wait to return to the house, so close to the beach and centrally located in a quiet area.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

My wife and I spent 10 nights in this house and had a wonderful time. It is well equipped, organized, clean and cozy. The owner, Vic, is a total pleasure to deal with, and very thorough and helpful. The location is ideal, the neighborhood is quiet, and the beach, literally a minutes walk away, is beautiful, wide, rock-free, and perfectly walkable. The "twin rocks" seastacks are directly in front of the beach entrance, so, the view, on first sight of the beach, is really lovely. There's a great deal to do within very easy driving distance of this house, so, it makes an excellent home-base to explore Northwest Oregon. This house is an excellent vacation value, and we will definitely be back. Oregon rocks!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We would highly recommend staying at this house. We stayed for 5 nights with our family of four. Vik (the owner) is a true pleasure to deal with and everything was delivered as promised. House is well kept and very clean – it supplied with all the conveniences and comforts of home. The beach is terrific and it is a quick walk from the house. Lots to do in the area within a short drive of the place (crabbing and visit to Tillamook cheese factory were favorites). It is a good location to explore this area of Oregon. The loft was a big hit for our kids. It is a great family house in a very quiet neighborhood close to the beach. We would definitely rent from Vik again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

We had a great time at this house. It was very clean, organized, and felt like a home. We had a 2 year old along and she loved all the kid friendly items. The house is a very easy walk to the beach. Kitchen was well supplied and the owner was very easy to work with. The loft was a big hit with the older kids. Thank you for a great vacation and we would definitely rent from Vik again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Owner was very helpful in providing access instructions, information about the house and the area, things to do etc.. The information was very comprehensive and we found this particularly useful. We were a party of 6 with two small children. The house was neat and tidy with everything labelled for ease of use and access. The place is fully stocked with everything you would need - including stuff for kids and families. Kids will love the loft beds! There are DVDs, a good entertainment setup, beach toys and good WiFi. The beach is less than a minute walk and right in front of Twin Rocks. Kitchen set up is great with all you would need to cook while on your stay. A nice touch was the popcorn and chocolate laid out for our arrival. The pictures in the property ad are accurate and reflect the condition of the property. This is not a fancy place or a place with a lot of charm, but it is very comfortable, convenient and functional and will meet all of your needs while you explore the Oregon Coast. Overall a definite recommend.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Pretty cozy place. Family of five and everyone was comfortable and enjoyed the stay. The beach was accessible within minutes and quiet enough to think it was your own. Rockaway is minutes away and has not been commercially taken over. The kids loved the loft beds and the house felt warm. it was nice to have Wifi and Cable available for the downtime. Vik the owner was awesome and made you feel welcome. This place is well maintained and clean.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our family age 1 to 70 spent 3 nights & enjoyed the well-equipped accommodations. The access to the beach was excellent and the hose with sprayer at the front entrance really limited the need to clean up sand in the entryway. We plan to return when we have an opportunity.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Everything about our brief stay here, and the arrangements to do so, were excellent. We contacted the owner with relatively short notice, but had no problems finalizing the details and all went smoothly. The proximity to the beach was great, neighbors were friendly, and the home was well-organized and kid-friendly. Our kids (ages 8, 5 and 2) enjoyed staying here and we will definitely be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: Retired Engineering/Marketing Executive living with wife in Portland. Both kids (they will always be kids!) with families in other states.
Why the Owner Chose Rockaway Beach:
We fell in love with the serenity of the Twin Rocks beach - it truly is a hidden gem - away from the 'tourist' beaches - but yet very accessible to nearby townships and a large city (Tillamook). The beach is clean and with few very friendly people - the Twin Rocks Island with its spectacular sunsets is just in front. Feed the birds - build castles, take a relaxing walk, Excellent Kite flying in gentle wind and for the young at heart - marshmallows over bonfires on the beach at night.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Every now and then we just have to take a break from our routine - and we always return from the beach house so very refreshed. Since our house is just a minutes walk to the beach - it is very convenient to make several trips during the day - a brisk morning walk with the birds, Coming back for brunch then a walk after tea - returning after Sunset. In summer there is the Coastal Railway which goes from Rockaway Beach to Gharibaldi & Back - the kids (and adults)just enjoy the scenery from open air cabooses - with the tracks at the edge of the sea - the scenery is beautiful and the kids love waiving to pedestrians walking on the roads. There are tide pools to wonder at , Deep Sea Fishing ,Golf, Air Museum in the famous Gas Dirigibles Hanger; Tillamook Cheese Factory Tours; Wine Tasting - so much so close. Our house is just minutes from downtown Rockaway Beach with its restaurants, Library, Ice Cream Parlors and fantastic smoked fish; New Orleans Ribs and British Fish/Chips ( no chains )!
