The kitchen has exposed brick, granite counters, new refrigerator and stove, dishwasher and butcher-block table that seats 6. The dining room also seats 6 and includes a piano, built-in china cabinet and sideboard. The second floor includes a huge master bedroom with queen bed and brand new mattress and walk-in closet. The room has dressing table, a desk and a work area. The sun porch is perfect for reading. The media room has flat screen TV with cable, a queen futon for sitting or sleeping. The twin bedroom has an extra long bed. Wireless Internet is available. The furnishing include antiques throughout the house.
The kitchen is furnished with the basics--coffee, sugar, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, pasta and all the dishes and utensils you'll need, including good knives and wine openers.
The backyard has grape vines, raspberry bushes, lavender, vegetables including tomatoes and basil. Table that seats 4-6 in a private courtyard. There is a gas grill for preparing your dinner. You can walk to coffee shops, pizzerias, excellent restaurants that have earned great reviews in New York Times and Gourmet Magazine. Within walking distance is a wine shop, a cheese shop that sells gelato, a flower shop and a deli. Lower Downtown (LoDo) is within walking distance (about 1 mile or 1.6 km) or public transportation is within three blocks. You can walk to a grocery store.
You can visit the Denver Art Museum with its extensive collections of Western American Indian art; and the Denver mint and the Denver capital building are nearby. Baseball at Coors Field is just a mile away; football, basketball and hockey are within two miles of the house, as is the Pepsi Center for concerts and the Democratic National Convention.
In just one hour by car you will be in the heart of the Rocky Mountains for hiking, fishing, rock climbing, skiing and visiting Colorado's old mining towns. An hour to the south is the Air Force Academy and the U.S. Olympic training center. |
