Location: South Capitol, Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA (Historical District, 1 Mile to Plaza)
Accommodations: House, 1 Bedroom + Other (See Description), 1 Bath (Sleeps 4)
Permit # 11-00105468
You'll enjoy my casita! It is in a well desired historical South Capitol district located between Galisteo and Don Gaspar. A short 1 mile walk will take you to the famous Canyon Road or Downtown Plaza. It is very private and is not attached to any other property. You will have a private front yard and a portal to sit and enjoy the quietness including a charcoal grill, outdoor patio and umbrella set.
This historical 700 square foot casita has been completely renovated and redesigned. All adobe, 31 years old, 1 bedroom, 1 bath. New saltillo floors are in the kitchen and bath while original hard woods have been sanded and restained in the living room and bedroom.
The kitchen has been redesigned and brought current while keeping its Santa Fe charm. There are newly tiled countertops, stainless steel appliances, including a built-in microwave. The bathroom also has been redesigned and includes a stand-up shower and banco.
Includes fresh linens and an equipped kitchen. Bring your laptop and enjoy free wireless internet. The unit stays cool due to the casita being all adobe, however, there is also airconditioning just in case!
Please contact me for availability.

I am a native of New Mexico. I purchased this home while living in Dallas to renovate and sell. It was a great investment. The area is excellent, and it feels good to own a part of this area.
Why the Owner Chose South Capitol
Great location! Very quiet, and great neighbors. Nice walk to Plaza. All the houses around the area are nice with beautiful flowers.

I Could Live Here--Really!

We had a hard time leaving Santa Fe and this charming casita. The neighborhood was quiet, the rooms were simply furnished but clean and well-kept, perfect for our needs. We stayed 5 nights and want to return for a month. The only surprise was an influx of large moths who kept coming in the front door--people in town said it was a record year for them, so nothing peculiar to this lovely little house.
Owner response:Thank you for such a wonderful review. Yes, the moths are horrible. I live in El Dorado, and am finding the same issue. Please let me know when you want to return. Take care.

Very nicely decorated casita in a private setting. Well furnished with nice detail touches. Fully appointed kitchen with many amenities. It was perfectly clean and well stocked for our arrival. The host is a pleasure to deal with. A perfect retreat as either a place to come back to after a late evening, or for relaxing with wine and cheese. We did both! We highly recommend it, and will certainly visit again on our next trip to Santa Fe.
Owner response:Thank you Tom and Nancy!! Come back and visit. Happy to hear you enjoyed it. :)

We had a wonderful, wonderful stay at this property. It's in one of Santa Fe's most beautiful neighborhoods, and the best restaurant in town, Restaurant Martin, is right down the street! Highly recommended!
Owner response:Thank you Peter and Ana. I enjoyed having you two as well. :)

We spent some time last Summer in this adorable casita. It is tastefully decorated, and sits towards the back neighboring casitas. We enjoyed walks to the Plaza, and surround areas. The houses surrounding are all historical, and nicely landscaped. The casita has a nice flagstone patio where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine. The homeowner is great, and very hospitable. What a pleasant little place. We won't hesitate to rebook on our next trip to Santa Fe!!

This was a perfect place for my husband, 13 month old son (brought our own porta-crib) and me to stay, just beautiful and newly renovated. The neighborhood was very pleasant and walking to the square was easy for our active family. It has all the amenities of home, easy to cook meals and even do a couple of loads of laundry (essential with a little one along for the trip). We had a wonderful stay and would recommend to anyone!

I enjoyed my recent stay. The house was easy to find, quiet, and close enough to everything to walk. It was my home away from home. If I ever make it back to Santa Fe, I would not hesitate to stay here!
