Nice building, great location. Both bathrooms in serious need of remodeling. Did not use master bath tub/shower due to condition. Mattress and living room furniture pretty worn out too. With some updates, this would be perfect rental.

We just got back from our week in Cocoa Beach. The condo was wonderful! It was fully equipped with everything we needed and looked just like the description. The only negative about the entire condo was the master bathroom. The tub is a little rough and it is dark but could easily be fixed by having a clear shower curtain instead of the decorative one. Simple fix and nothing I would ever dwell on! Other than that, we felt completely at home and comfortable. The pool was fabulous! Being steps from the beach was great! Gorgeous sunrises!! Steve was so nice and always responded quickly to any question I had. On our trip home, we were already planning next years vacation which will definitely include renting this condo or another one that Steve owns. Thank you for a remarkable experience!!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Great Unit! Fully stocked and right next to the pier. Nicely updated with granite countertops, attractive tile, and paint colors. Had no problem relazing for a week with the ocean and pool right outside. Communication with owner was quick and very helpful. Would not hesitate to return. Steve & Amy, Northville, MI

Our family of 5 stayed in this unit and could not have been happier! We have 3 teenagers and because it was so close to the beach they were able to go down and my husband and I watched from the balcony. I immediately felt at home, and with that view I could have stayed forever. Every morning I couldn't wait to open the blinds and watch the sunrise with my coffee. I knew from the description it was "fully stocked", but I have seen that before so I brought several items from my kitchen, which were not needed! It really was fully stocked. There were plenty of beach towels, beach toys, boogie boards, beach chairs, even a couple of coolers. We meet so many nice people while we were there and even felt comfortable enough one night to leave our kids in the room while we walked to the pier to enjoy happy hour. Having internet and a phone with free calling anywhere in the US made it great for us to be able to keep in touch with friends and family without using all our cell phone minutes. Everything we needed was within walking distance, so once we got there we didn't have to drive all over the place for anything we needed. There was even a Publix practically across the street with a Blockbuster movie rental box. The money we saved cooking ourselves, free parking, free internet & phone and the time we saved not packing anything for the beach was well worth the rent for the week. We will be renting from the Groff family again and again. Thanks for a fun & relaxing vacation!

Misleading advertisement

Let's start with the statements that "sleeps 4-6" and "can comfortably fit up to six people". According to the condo regulations, the maximum occupancy is 5 persons over the age of 1 year. You will have to sign an agreement about this prior to renting the condo. The truth is, this property would be too small for 6 people. Regarding the "newly renovated clean bathrooms" statement, I can just say that there was a huge green stain in the master bathroom tub while we rented it. We were told that "it looks bad, but the tub is clean". The two bathrooms are small, outdated and dark. The whole building has an outdated and run down feel to it and this rental property is not a luxury apartment. The leather couches are old and the padding is worn out; there are occasional holes and scratches in the leather. It is also sticky. The paint job on most of the walls and doors is not professionally done. There is a huge hole in the wall where cable wires come in. The internet (wi fi) is not secure and has erratic interruptions. The dryer did not work the whole week we stayed here (we were informed about the dryer not working on the day we arrived). There is no hair dryer, the non stick coating is peeling off the pans and the knives are useless (we had to buy all these items for ourselves during our stay). The whole unit is tiled, which I guess is easier to clean; however, it can also become easily slippery. Positives: it is close to the beach (but also to Cheaters Gentleman Club, which was NOT a positive for us); has view of the Ocean; the pool was clean; has a big screen TV. Overall, this is a small and cheap place advertised and priced as a luxury apartment. I would not recommend it to my friends and I would certainly not rent this apartment again.

Owner response: The condo sleeps 4-6 (6 people if one person is an infant, 5 otherwise). I would simply say to read all the reviews. The building and area is very nice, clean and extremely safe. Anyone who has traveled to Cocoa Beach and been near the Pier & Ron Jons knows this. The condo is clean, very comfortable, well stocked and has a great view as my many happy past renters will attest. Unfortunately its impossible to please absolutely everyone, fortunately (nearly) everyone who has rented has had a great experience.

Loved it, it was absolutly perfect. Home away from home. Everything needed was supplied. Loved that the living room had not only a huge flat screen tv but each bedroom not only had a tv but a dvd player as well which was perfect for renting movies for my child to watch in her room at night. Waking in the morning on the beach to the view from the balcony was Amazing. Drank coffee each morning watching the waves hit the beach from the private balcony. It was in safe quiet area. Never worried about my daughter walking the beach or laying by the beautiful private pool. Was nice to be able to cook meal in the condo if wanted, doing laundry was convenient. Weather was beautiful, view of the pier and being close to grocery store was perfect. We were not disappointed in anything. In fact was happier with the condo and area then I thought we would be. We will definatly be visiting again. People were very friendly. What more could one ask for everything needed, beautiful view, quiet, friendly.

We stayed here last week, for 7 days. (February 2011) It is a beautiful condo and in a perfect location. You can watch the action on the pier and we were even able to view a shuttle launch on the rooftop deck. What a treat. The condo is very clean and nicely decorated. The towels were big a fluffy which was a nice surprise! People in the building were very friendly too. The pool is right in front and steps from the beach and the view from the unit is fantastic. We would definately come back and highly recommend this unit to everyone!

We have rented this unit for the last 2 years for 2 weeks each time. It is the cleanest and nicest place we have stayed. Close to everything and walking distance to pier....We travel with pets and this is a great place for them also, pool is fantastic and views are incredible. We will be renting again this fall and wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area. Owner is great to work with too

Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, pet owners, sightseeing.

We enjoyed our Christmas week stay at this pet friendly condo. The condo is clean, kitchen well equipped and grounds are immaculate. Beautiful sunrise & beach views from the balcony. Excellent location for quick trips to Orlando. Shopping and restaurants close by. Owner excellent to work with, very responsive. We would definitely rent this unit again.

We stayed in 207 at Chautea by the Sea and enjoyed our experience. I really enjoyed having a washer/dryer, and my husband especially liked the big screen TV. We all loved the balcony and beautiful view of the ocean. The only thing that could've been better is the bathroom with a tub/shower. All in all, it was a very memorable and pleasant week!

We've travelled to Florida many times but have never stayed by the ocean. This was our first experience and a very good one. The condo and surroundings were exactly as mentioned. The condo was very clean and had everything you needed. It had an excellent view of the ocean. The beach,pier,stores,restaurants are all at your fingertip. The owner provided us with all information that we requested and was very helpful. We would definitely recommend this condo to friends and family and will be returning. The only bad part of this was that it ended so soon.

Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed here for a week in early July. We absolutely loved the location. It is great to be in walking distance from the Pier, the Omelet Station, Publix and Papa Vito's. It is also extremely pet friendly, which is what initially drew us to it. The only downside was the bathrooms are dark, especially in the showers. However, with the pool and beach only steps away and the relative closeness of NASA (since I had to work) this is a keeper on my future trips.

Spent a week at Chateau 207 this summer and it was AMAZING. We have two kids so being right next to the pier is a big plus (cant get any closer and the kids loved the volleyball). The kitchen had everything we needed to make many of our own meals and having a washer and dryer right in the unit was great. My husband loved the huge TV which was bigger then home and the condo was extremely clean and looked great (everything looked very nice and new). I have stayed at condos in Cocoa Beach for years and this one stands above them all. The owner was great to deal with and we will be back again next summer for sure! The sunsets are great from the rooftop deck. The only downside was the weather (had a couple days of rain), but aside from that you could not ask for a better condo in a better location.

We loved the unit!! The direct ocean view and location next to the pier could not be better. We enjoyed the NCAA tournament on the 50" plasma. You have done a great job decorating the unit, my son thought it was nicer than our home. We are planning on returning next year and would love to rent your unit again. I do not think you could find a nicer unit or better location.

After search through hundreds of condos we finally decided on this one, and absolutely loved it. This unit is beautifully decorated, extremely clean and provided all the amenities we were looking for. We really enjoyed the view sitting on the balcony overlooking the pool directly onto the beach. Chateau by the Sea Unit 207 is a lovely condo situated on the beach, and within minutes from Cocoa Beach Pier. The facility is emaculate. The Unit was newly renovated in June, and it provided all the amenities we were looking for in having a luxious vacation stay on the beach where we could bring our pet schnauzer. We were pleased to have found this little piece of heaven after researching a lot of sites for condos on Cocoa Beach. Kudos to the owners and the beautiful decor within.
