The Bluestone River Get-Away is a country home (recently remodeled) with 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. The bedrooms are furnished as follows: 1 double bed, 2 twin beds, 1 twin bed. And there is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room with a picture-window view of the Bluestone River. The Get-Away has heat, phone, TV/VCR, updated bathroom, fully-equipped kitchen with coffee maker, microwave, dishes, pots and pans. Linens and towels are provided.
The Bluestone Get-Away sits on the banks of the Bluestone River, surrounded by 50 acres of woods. The Get-Away is secluded and private; deer and wild turkey abound on the safe property. Fishing, kayaking, canoeing and tubing can literally begin in the front yard, as the Bluestone River flows past. Nearby you can find Bluestone Lake and marina, and the Bluestone River house is only minutes from Winterplace Ski Resort and Pipestem Resort.
The property is near Princeton, WV (but you’d never know it). Nearby you can find whitewater rafting, boating, skiing, hiking, golf, tennis, horseback riding, and much more.
Vacation Rental Amenities
Tubes to float the river are available for guests use. The river can be accessed from the property for tubing or fishing. It is a wonderful river for fly-fishing for Smallmouth Bass, Bream and others . The front yard has large Sycamore trees on the riverfront. Hammocks and comfortable chairs hang from the limbs of the Sycamores right at the river - great for napping, wildlife observation, reading or swinging over the river.
The property has trails for exploring and peaceful areas to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Wildflowers and birds are abundant; feeders attract birds, including hummingbirds. Wildlife including wild turkeys, deer, wild ducks, migrating warblers and others are frequent visitors.
