Bonjour! I have used VRBO for many years. I appreciate and rely on reviews of places to determine where to stay. I can assure you that everything you read about this wonderful apartment in Paris is correct. When you arrive, it will be even better than you imagined. The location is quite frankly unbelievable. The apartment is nestled in the midst of so much activity yet completely quiet and secure. The location allows you to walk to many of the wonderful places that Paris has to offer. The owners are fantastic and a pleasure to deal with. I stayed here with a 4 year old child and the privacy of a separate bedroom for her was key. We arrived late at night but it was no problem to walk to a grocery store to stock up food items that we needed. The only thing missing was a guest book. I love to read comments from previous guests and write comments for future guests to share. : ) Trust me, if you are considering this apartment, you will not be disappointed. I will certainly be back one day soon. Thanks so much for a wonderful first stay in Paris!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at Bonojour Paris for our first visit to Paris. From our original contact with the owners, we werre provided with prompt, professional and practical information with respect to all aspects of this property. If you are looking for an independant apartment style expereince, this is perfect for you. We were provided with detailed and helpful information with respect to what we should expect from the rental and also what was expected of us as the visitors! If you are looking for a self catering apartment in a location that is between 2- 30 minutes walk of an incredible number of amenities you will love this location. In the heart of the Latin Quarter, a few minutes from the Seine and Notre Dame and around the corner from the St. Germiane shops, this location is incredible and for a very resonable price. The apartment has 2 queen beds, dining area, full bathroom ( with a shower/bath combo), galley kitchen and wi fi. In spite of the density of restaurants , shops and housing in this area, this apartment is a quiet scantuary at the end of a very busy day of walking and touring. It must be the ancient stone walls from which this building is built that make it so quiet and peaceful. The directions for entering the building are a bit like a treasure hunt with punch codes and lock boxes so make sure you print off the directions ( as you are directeted to do) as you need to pay attentiion when you first take residence in the apartment! One other tip, is the hallway that the keys are found is somewhat dimly lit and we found that a small flashlight or cell phone light was helpful on our arrival. However, even with the lighting we felt very safe with a vareity of people coming and going from the building. The area is surrounded with fabuous good shops where you can get food to go or the ingredients to prepare your own.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Yes, the location is terrific, with great access to historic sites, metro, restaurants and music. But it also offered privacy for the adults, quiet for sleeping (despite the bustle at the street level) and great communication with the owners. The owners provided extensive information and recommendations, with an emphasis on traveler safety. The apartment itself has a cool, historic vibe and everything works great. As we exited the apartment onto the street, we were surrounded by restaurants, shops, music and a lively atmosphere, as well as the gorgeous and easily overlooked St. Severin church. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful stay at Bonjour Paris. The apartment is in a perfect location, close to everything and right off a major walking street, but also tucked into the building enough to be quiet and feel very safe. It was exceptionally clean. We were very pleased to find it in great shape and had no reservations about sleeping and staying there. It fit my wife and I and our two daughters very comfortably. We enjoyed our stay there and will plan on staying there again the next time we're lucky enough to find ourselves in Paris!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My mother and I traveled to Paris together for 10 days recently and stayed in the Bonjour, Paris apartment. It was absolutely perfect for our trip - the apartment was the perfect sized for the two of us, and having our own kitchen was ideal... we could wake up at our leisure, and relax over a cup of coffee as we planned our day. The apartment was immaculate, the owners and managers helpful and friendly, and the wireless and TV worked perfectly. This apartment is steps away from Notre Dame, in the heart of the fun and lively Latin Quarter. I recommend it most highly!Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

The location is truly fabulous and the apartment sleeps four comfortably. The owners are pleasant and provided all the information we needed to find the place and there was no trouble getting into the building or the apartment. Great restaurants, easy walk to Notre Dame and the beautiful St. Severin church is directly across the street. Access to the Metro is just around the corner which is great and the north line runs right to the airport which is very convenient. Minuses are: needs a shower curtain and a bathmat, the kitchen is a two burner stove (there is no oven) and there is a one cup French press for making coffee. A few more blankets and pillows would be nice as well for the winter months and the laundry facilities were approximately 3 blocks away. There is no living room (sofa, comfy chair) which would definitely make it more comfortable. Would be a good apartment for small family or two adults.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We had a fantastic stay at the Bonjour Paris from August 29th through September 5th. The apartment was located in a fantastic part of Paris, close to many wonderful restaurants, tourist locations and the Metro. It was nicely decorated, with lovely exposed stone walls, and was spacious for our family of three and had the all important tub for our daughter. Claude and Violaine are wonderful hosts! We can't wait to visit again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What can I say except what a wonderful way to experience Paris staying at "Bonjour" Paris. Right from our first contact with Claude it was the most wonderful experience. I hadnt used vrbo.com before so having someone who I instantly trusted was fantastic. All communications were timely and informative. The location in the Latin Quarter is literally a stones throw from Notre Dame....all the buzz of Paris outside and then you open the apartment door, close it behind you and you are taken back to Paris from centuries ago. The stone wall is something else. We expected it to be much smaller than it was. Two very comfortable queen beds, the most gorgeous French window opening up to let the day in every morning was a highlight. Great shower and hot water. I cant believe you can rent such a great apartment for such a great price in that location. Its not 5 star but we didnt want 5 star. We wanted to experience Paris like a local....we were certainly able to do that. Avoid the restaurants outside the door venture a little away and find one where the locals go. We're early risers so it was off to the Boulingerie for a baguette and coffee. We stayed a week and wished it could have been a year....thank you Claude and Violaine.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Our family of five (kids 15, 12 & 9) enjoyed a wonderful stay at Bonjour Paris! The location was amazing - we loved being right in the thick of the action in the Latin Quarter, walking to the boulangerie for croissants and the dozens of restaurants in our street. We couldn't believe the minute we stepped through the door - absolute silence! Thanks Claude & Violaine, we loved Paris and would definitely stay at Bonjour Paris! again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Right in the heart of Paris! What more could you ask for.....well let me tell you....secret pass codes, keys to locked doors, and the quaintest Parisian apartment we had ever seen. So much fun! And the looks you get when you come out the door right beside St Severin Church. All I could think was, yep! I'm a local. Add to this the blessing of having a fantastic companion who was fabulous company - we had an amazing time in Paris. Not only could we walk out the door and find somewhere to eat within a minute, or jump on the train within two, it was wonderful being chased around Europe by men - great for the ego: stopping us in the street, coming up and chatting for no reason, asking for our number, asking to meet with us later. Not that we did meet with them....just giggled. So…..rude and arrogant French? Where? Certainly not anywhere I went – people were friendly and happy and as long as we were patient and respectful they returned the same in kind. Bonjour Paris! Every morning I woke up with a silly grin on my face - I looked up at the beams, sun coming through the curtains and the historic wall beckoned for me to put my hands on it again. Paris is now my home away from home (I left my heart there somewhere), and Bonjour Paris! will be the first place I try and stay whenever I’m in town.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My daughters and I visited Paris for a week in June of 2011 and we were fortunate to book this apartment during our visit. The owners did not have an entire week open but were able to accomodate us for three nights at another nearby apartment and then four nights at this location. They even made the transition easy when the property manager moved all our luggage for us. I thought that was very kind of him. (Luggage for three women... Not a light load, you know?!) Traveling with my daughters, ages 15 & 18, I take security and safety very seriously. We had never been to Paris but it is a very large city and so I was a little nervous. I needn't have worried. The apartment was very secure. It has a passcode entry at the front door which is located on a well traveled pedestrian street. After you enter the front door, there is a very heavy iron gate that you have a key to open and then, finally, your apartment door which has another lock on it. Never once on our entire trip did I feel unsafe in our surroundings. The apartment is comfortable and we thought the decor was very "french". We loved the cluster of chandeliers in the corner that lit the room! It's not the Ritz, you've got to be willing to buy toilet paper if you run out and bring your own towels, but in my opinion the tradeoff is definitely worth it. You have a lot more space and the location can't be beat. Both beds were comfortable and roomy and could easily accomodate four people. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. I cannot tell you how much money we saved by shopping at the local grocery store and eating our breakfast and dinner at the apartment. We ate our lunches out while we were exploring the city, came back for a simple but tasty dinner and then headed back out for the evening. The location is superb, close to activities at the Notre Dame, Luxumbourg Gardens, Shakespeare & Co. bookstore, Cluny Museum and so much more. We ate so much good food but never gained an ounce thanks to being able to walk almost everywhere. When we chose to take the Metro, it was just a two minute walk to the St. Michel station. I was a bit worried about not speaking French but even though we ran into a number of people who did not speak English, we always managed to communicate. I would like to put an end to the "Rude Parisian" rumor. We English speaking Americans were treated kindly on our entire trip. Would we return to Paris and this apartmenet? YES, I mean OUI!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This small apartment is ideal for 2 people - there is ample room to move around, very close to all attractions (walking distance). It is also very quiet- good for sleeping. The kitchen is small but adequate with a microwave and stove. The only improvement could be better lighting. Definitely recommended and will return when in Paris again!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Everything about the Bonjour Paris apartment was perfect, especially the location. The kitchen was equipped so you could fix basic meals, the bed was very comfortable, there was a tub and shower (with great water pressure), plenty of room for the two of us, and although it was surrounded by restaurants and shops, it was very quiet and private. It was amazing to step outside the front door of the building right into the streets of Paris, just as if we lived there. A majority of the sights were within walking distance and those that weren’t you could jump on the Metro, which was only a couple blocks from the apartment, and reach your destination in minutes. The large number of restaurants and near by market/deli made either eating in or eating out very convenient even late in to the evening. Thank you Claude and Violaine for making our 25th wedding anniversary an absolute fairy tale.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

"Plusses: The owners were very nice and easy to deal with. Pre-trip info received was comprehensive and thoughtful. Apartment was a good size; slept 3 comfortably; adequately equipped for a short stay. Hot shower worked great. Excellent central location for a very reasonable price; on a very busy street surrounded by restaurants and other amenities and a stone's throw from some major sites, and metros. Yet, apartment was quiet and private. Easy walk to Notre Dame, the Marais, the Louvre, the Pompidou Centre, St Germain, old markets etc. Minuses: A little dark because living/bedroom window opened onto a common "airwell" (vs. a 'courtyard') which other apartment windows looked into; height of the other floors limited light coming through . Curtains had to be kept shut for privacy, hence, little natural light. Bathroom needs shower curtain to keep floors dry. Up lights skirting two sides of floor were distracting if you wanted to read. A chandelier provided the only ambient light and had to be on at the same time for good lighting. Some instructions for using the satellite TV would be good. (Plus/minus?) Had the feeling of an apartment a friend may have given you to occupy for a short stay, instead of a professional let. But, all in all, no regrets, for this short stay."Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My friends and I died and went to heaven when we first stepped into Bonjour Paris! What a magnificent apartment. I was in complete awe of the stone and wood work, and how spotless everything was! We had some family step in to join us for a glass of wine before a night out and I think they felt exactly the same when they took a little tour around the apartment. The Latin Quarter is my favorite place to hang around in, and this apartment really helped make this last visit to Paris made the most memorable. Everything was fully equipped for tea, coffee, and cooking - which was a complete luxury! Cleaning products were all available, which was lovely for the self service option we chose. Ming and Jinghong were absolutely lovely, prompt, and helpful! Not to mention all the great help and notes we received from Claude and Violiane! I really am thankful for finding them! Thank you for a great time, and I've already recommended you to many friends and family! Merci, MaryDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

Hi Claude and Violaine Thanks again for your Bonjour Paris apartment. It was a perfect oasis from the buzz that is central Paris and its location meant that my mum didn't have to walk too far to anything. We really enjoyed it. Sadly my last morning quest for one more of the world's best almond croissants from the boulangerie near Marche Maubert just around the corner was fruitless ... the Parisians had gotten up early and beat me to the punch. Other than that, a truly magical experience. Cheers TimDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My dear Violaine and Claude Our stay at Bonjour Paris was SUPERB! My mother had the very best 60th bday trip, and my son adored every instant of our stay. Your studio is so cozy and the location is amazing. There is something precious about the scent of the roads outside, of waking up every morning with the Church bells, and of being "in the middle of it all". Having lived in Paris a full year, I knew that the location was fantastic...but the nearness of everything really amazed me. Thank you, thank you, thank you -- You were both magnificent in every way. Dear Claude and Violaine, I want to thank you so much for providing a beautiful and charming retreat for us during our stay in Paris. We absolutely loved your Bonjour, Paris! studio. The apartment was perfect and lacked nothing. The decorating was lovely and thoughtfully designed. The lights in the floor accented the beautiful stonework and made a striking impression on us as we entered the studio. Thank you so much for allowing us to be the first of many visitors to Bonjour, Paris! I also want to thank you both for your very helpful suggestions, directions, instructions, shopping guide, recommendations, etc. They were invaluable to us during our stay.
