Ab Butler’s Dogtrot at Triple Creek is an authentic log cabin used as a romantic Fredericksburg, TX. bed and breakfast in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Offering a quiet, secluded respite, the historic cabin, built in 1800, is situated on acreage populated with live oaks, deer and a running creek, yet is a five minute journey into Fredericksburg. Having appeared in two national magazines, the 200 year old cabin offers antiques, designer fabrics, and a romantic atmosphere to its bed and breakfast guests.
The historic log cabin is referred to as a dogtrot because it has a downstairs breezeway through the center of the cabin. Each of two suites has a downstairs living room with a wood burning fireplace, an upstairs bedroom with a king sized bed, a private bath with a regular size Jacuzzi tub, and a front porch perfect for bird watching, viewing the deer, relaxing or enjoying a good book. Nighttimes at Ab Butler’s cabin offer a perfect sky for star gazing from the porch or the hammock. Sunsets are often enjoyed by our guests down at the creek in a porch swing.
Ab Butler’s Dogtrot inn has been inspected and given an Outstanding Quality Certification by Historic Accommodations of Texas for the nine consecutive years of its existence as a bed and breakfast.
Those wanting less space may contact us about one suite rather than the entire cabin. |
