Absolutely Enchanting

Guest: Sharon M.
Date of Stay: 03/02/12 Review Submitted: 04/05/12

From the moment I opened the door and walked into this charming cottage I felt I was in an enchanted place. It is perfect for a relaxing, meditative getaway from the hustle and bustle of cities and everyday life. Tiaga has a gift for making her guests feel welcome without intruding upon one's privacy, right down to the freshly baked cookies left with a note on our doorstep. The cottage has recently been freshly painted and carpeted and the tastefully chosen colors add to the feeling of serenity. The hot tub on the deck overlooking a creek is perfect for winding down after a day of sightseeing or visiting the Osmosis Spa, which is a short drive from the cottage. We also enjoyed walking in the vicinity and seeing wonderful views of the surrounding lush growing areas. I will definitely recommend this to my friends and would not hesitate to stay there again. Sebastopol is a friendly place and we met and talked with several residents on our walks who were more than willing to share information and the history of the region with us. Thanks Tiaga for making our stay so pleasant! Sharon (Malone)

Perfect in every way!

Lovely place with all the right touches. Great cookies and fresh flowers and just far enough away to seem secluded yet close enough to everything to adventure out for wine tasting or beach combing. Great bakery going towards Bodega called Wild Flour...really yum! Thanks Tiaga for a wonderful cottage and a peaceful serene place. Janet and Forrest

Owner response:I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay in our cottage. I feel lucky that our cottage is so convenient to so many wonderful things and that you took advantage of many of them. It was a pleasure having you here. Tiaga

Perfectly located for wineries, the beach, the organic "Farm Trails" tour, walking, sightseeing or just going into town. The homey cottage is bright and clean. Tiaga, the owner, is a delight and is quite willing to help you.

Our stay

Guest: Ben B.
Date of Stay: 08/01/11 Review Submitted: 09/19/11

The cottage is excellent and set in a lovely location. Overlooking woodlands to the rear it is very peaceful and a great place to relax - especially in the hot tub! There were lots of nice personal touches - in particular the excellent cookies. Tiaga is a brilliant host and has thought of everything. The cottage is well equipped and very clean. Tiaga was on hand to give us some pointers about where to go and what to see which was really useful to get a 'locals' point of view. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone. It has a great quiet location but close enough to lots of places for day trips. Especially the numerous local vineyards. All in all a great cottage - thank you Tiaga.

Anniversary Celebration!

Guest: Bill & Gena Sobodas
Date of Stay: 09/08/10 Review Submitted: 09/15/10

Dearest Tiaga, Your warm hospitality and quaint cottage made this a remarkable trip for our anniversary celebration. Your little touches & warm smile and giving nature are so genuine & so rare these days. You have a special gift for making others feel welcomed. Our travels to Armstrong Woods, Sonoma & Napa wineries, San Francisco, Bodega Bay, drives along the coast & visits to the small country towns were all amazing! Thank you for taking time to give us pointers & suggestions - they were all great. We especially loved the food at Willowwood Market Cafte & Underwood Bistro! We will miss the sounds of the woodpeckers & rosters & will surely miss you@ Your bakery was the most special touch beside your enthusiasm & great smile. Miss you already! Bill & Gina Chicago, IL

This cottage was exactly what we were looking for: quiet, peaceful, beautifully decorated and in a great location. The owner was extremely helpful during our stay. She even let us borrow her personal picnic basket. She has thought of everything to make her guests feel comfortable (great shower products, fresh fruit, homemade cookies, snacks, bathrobes, slippers, dvd's, cd's and a book with all the information you need to know about the area). Do yourself a favor....stay here!!

Great little cottage

Guest: superstevek1 (White Plains, NY)
Date of Stay: 10/06/09 Review Submitted: 10/20/09

We stayed for a week and had a great time. It was very private, clean and cheery. The hot tub on the back porch was nice at night. The gas fireplace made it very cosey. Tiaga was very hospitable made us feel right at home and even made us homemade cookies upon our arrival. The cottage was very quaint and the gardens were very pretty. It was very close to sonoma county wineries but napa was about a 50 min ride. Would definitely recommend this private cottage for anyone visiting the area. We would definitely come back and stay again.

The Garden Cottage and the owner were wonderful! I wish we could have stayed for a whole week instead of just two nights. Tiaga thought of everything and made us fabulous blueberry muffins the first morning. I would suggest this place to anyone that I knew would be traveling in the area. If we ever get a chance to make it back to California, we will want to stay here again. (Thank you, Tiaga!)

This studio cottage was a very clean and pleasant place to stay. Everything was as described, and the owner seems to have thought of everything. :) We enjoyed visiting places listed in the Farm Trails guide, and exploring Sebastopol and the surrounding towns. Hopefully it won't be too long before we come again.

Thank you for the lovely stay! We enjoyed the comfortable bed! I haven't slept so peacefully in weeks. It's wonderful to hear the birds chirping in the morning and evening hours. It reminded my husband and I of his homeland, Costa Rica.

You've created a blessed sanctuary! We feel surrounded by natures beauty and serenity. Our favorite memories here will be resting on the deck listening for the frogs, owls, and coyotes, watching the little dipper and the clarity of the stars overhead, and passing through your lovely gardens. Thank you for your warmth and considerate offerings. You have every guests every care in your mind and heart.

We truly enjoyed our stay in the cottage. It was just lovely! We appreciate your hospitality and attention to detail. The area was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for more perfect weather. We loved exploring the diverse landscapes from oceanside to redwood forests to the valley, covered with vineyards. Our favorite place was Armstrong Woods - great hiking and scenery! We'll be sure to share the secret of your cottage with anyone we hear who's planning a trip to this region!

"Girls" Weekend Get-a-way

Guest: Rebecca, Alicia, Paula
Date of Stay: 06/11/08 Review Submitted: 01/13/10

What a wonderful place for a weekend get-a-way for just the girls! Peace and quiet mixed with beautiful flowers, and homemade cookies! Between the three of us, we have all had previous experiences staying in rental houses and we all agree that we have never had it so good! We felt like royalty! We arrived to fresh fruit, a stocked fridge with all the makings we needed for a continental breakfast. We really enjoyed this cozy little cottage and sure when we get back to our hectic worlds, we will all close our eyes on occasion and pretend we are back on the cottage deck. Thanks for a great weekend!
