We are a couple who loves Ka'anapali. We enjoy the town for everything it has to offer; snorkeling, strolling on the beach, playing in the surf, golfing, shopping, dining, exploring the neighboring towns of Lahaina and Wailea, playing shuffle board and of course sipping mai tais! At home in California we enjoy spending time with our young daughters exploring the great outdoors, gardening and flying.

I stayed here in late June 2011 as part of a family get-together, we rented 5 condos for a week plus so I was able to compare this unit with others at Mahana. This unit is perfect for 2 people. It is updated and well stocked, some were not. The view is incredible and as noted by others the Mahana is right on the beach and is a nice place to stay. The owners were very helpful, very responsive and worked with my ever evolving plans. I have been to Maui a few times and would stay here again.

The location of the Mahana CANNOT be beat! It is right on the beach - no boardwalk in the way - you open the patio doors and there's the Ocean - doesn't get much better than that. The only issue we had was that our code for the door did not work when we arrived at the hotel, however the staff at the hotel (even though we were a private rental) let us into our room. They were so helpful and so nice. The next morning the property mgmt company changed our code without issue and we never had a problem again. Eric and Jaimee were fantastic too - you really know that you've rented from great people when there is a problem that is efficiently solved from hundreds of miles away :) The condo itself is PERFECT for a couple. Everything you could ever need is there. We fell asleep every night to the sound of the Ocean - this place made our last vacation before baby the most enjoyable one that we have had to date - I actually cried when we left (keep in mind I was 5 months pregnant). Kaanapali has everything you could want - restaurants, grocery stores and is close to everything too without being in the heart of the action. FYI don't drive to a so called snorkelling beach - the best snorkelling is over the reef in front of the Mahana - we saw 3 turtles in our 2 trips out over that reef. Soooo beautiful. You cannot go wrong with this rental!! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

My wife and I stayed here in May 2011 and the unit is exactly as described in the pictures and vrbo listing. We have stayed in several vrbo properties and know this is not always the case. The views and sunsets from the condo are wonderful. The owners were very good at answering questions and providing help. The unit is located on the north part of the beach which is a bit quiter than the southern part and the area around black rock. There is a wonderful beach path all the way to black rock and then beyond. Not far from the unit is great snorkeling and the beach in front of the Mahana is very nice. Also a couple hundred yards away is a restaurant called Dukes Beach House. The food is great and the location is wonderful. The Mahana is an older property but is in very good condition and is by far the closest property to the water that we found. The ocean is literally right off the lanai. The sound of the ocean will lull you to sleep at night. The unit itself is perfect for two people. It would be a bit cramped for a family. I would recommend the unit and would stay there again on future trips.

My husband and I have vacationed at several resorts and private properties in Hawaii but by far this is our favorite! The resort and it's amenities are lovely and well-maintained. The view from the 6th floor condo is breath-taking! The building is so close to the water that the beauty and sounds of the ocean create that "Wow, I'm on vacation!" feeling instantly. The pool, spa and beach are just a short elevator ride away. They are literally just out the back door. The condo is very pretty, clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for a great stay. It was marvelous to have a washer and dryer. What a convenience! The bed was comfy and we could listen to the sounds of the waves all night long - very peaceful! The location is perfect for getting everywhere we wanted to go on the island. We were within walking distance of several great places to eat and shop. We recommend Duke's (check out the Hula Pie!) and Okazuya that serves an amazing variety of delicious meals. More shopping is a short drive away as are many of the area's "hot spots" such as Lahaina and Whaler's Village. One of our favorites is the MauiGrown Coffee Company Store in Lahaina and it's coffee plantation a few miles north. We are coffee nuts and enjoyed seeing the coffee trees laden with beautiful berries and the blue Pacific ocean in the background. What a experience. The condo owners are wonderful to work with. They made everything as simple as possible and gave us all the information we needed to get to the condo and settled in. They included many helpful tips that got us off to a great start and made us feel right at home. We highly recommend this lovely place and have just booked another September vacation there.We understand that the condo has redecorated and it will be fun to see what has been done. We are confident that you will have a wonderful vacation experience here!

My husband and I stayed in your condo for our 10th wedding anniversary and had a "dream come true" vacation. The ocean is only feet from the lanai and the palm tree views were breathtaking. We had breakfast on the lanai every morning and felt like we were on a cruise ship. The kitchen had everything we needed and was great for lazy mornings and afternoons. Your condo has a great feel and quickly became our home away from home. The complex is perfectly situated between Lahaina and Napili Bay and getting to Wailea is easy and makes for a beautiful forty minute drive. We loved taking walks down to Black Rock every morning. We especially enjoyed the food and drinks at Dukes every night. We were also able to try paddle boarding right in front of the condo. What a perfect location!!! We appreciate all of your help in planning our trip; you were always very quick to respond to our inquiries. The description of your condo and photos displayed were spot on. We will definitely be back and will recommend your unit to all of our friends. Mahalo!!!!

Wow, loved the 180 degree view ( cruise ship balcony view ). Wow, loved the 56 ft. distance to the ocean and the mile long beach. Wow, loved the short stroll to the new Duke's restaurant ( breakfast, lunch, dinner with live music ). We didn't want to leave after the 10 days and will be back in Spring 2011. The condo unit was clean, freshly painted, new carpet, and the kitchen was pleasantly stocked. The unit are sound proof-never heard the next door tenants. We ate most breakfasts on the lanai enjoying the view and using the available Wi-Fi. We enjoyed the community herb garden and BBQ'd a number of times around the pool area. You will be happy to know that the grounds are very well kept and the lobby staff were very pleasant. The amble free parking was a treat as well. We found the complex to be centrally located to many top restaurants, beaches, and shopping complexes ( minutes from Kaanapali and Lahaina ). We enjoyed the Warren & Annabelle's Magic Show in Lahaina that you recommended. It was on par with any Las Vegas show. In closing, I want to thank you for the way you do business; kind and helpful. Wow! We vacationed in April 2010 and loved the condo! It is exactly as described, clean, well-maintained and right on the ocean. We ate most of our meals on the lanai and slept with the sliding glass doors open, listening to the waves. It is located close to shopping and restaurants. We loved walking the beach and broadwalk. We are hoping to return for another stay there.

"Wow" Can't wait to go back to your condo. We were pleasantly surprised by the grounds, pool, BBQ area, office kiosk, tennis courts and the free and ample parking. We normally stay at the large resorts but none have your "cruise ship balcony" 180 degree view, 50 ft from the ocean with the mile long beach. We enjoyed your well stocked and cozy condo. We ate breakfast on the lanai and kept in contact with family and friends using the complex's Wi-Fi from the condo. It was nice to be able to walk or drive a short distance to an array of top rated restaurants. We fell asleep at night with the sliding door left open; listening to the ocean waves coming to shore. We were also pleased with quietness of the unit; we never heard the neighbors.
