  We've been staying at and loving Sugar Beach every year (missed one) for over 12 years, each year we would be "assigned" a different room when we got there. There was always something about each room that we wished it had, WiFi, a short wall off the lanai that didn't restrict the view, a great bed, good location to the stairs to the pool (or elevator), and comfortable couch and chairs. Most rooms lacked one or two of those items. So we searched VBRO after being especially disappointed a couple of years in a row and found this room and it appeared to have everything we wanted. We rented it last year and were VERY pleased with it and we got it again this year and reserved it for next. It's the best one we've stayed in for all the reasons I listed. There's a lot to like about Maui, there's a lot to like about Sugar Beach and there's a lot to like about this room.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  This was our first time in Hawaii and the first time renting a condo for vacation. Any concerns we had quickly vanished when we arrived. The condo was luxurious with all the atmosphere of the "tropics". From the gorgeous view right on the ocean to the little amenities that made our stay very comfortable, it didn't take long to agree we'd come back to Doug and Starla's condo, even working our vacation around the availability schedule. Great condo, great owners, great place to settle in for a while in Paradise!

  Hi Doug and Starla, Thank you for the fruit and goodie basket, what a nice surprise and welcome to your beautiful condo. You have certainly done a wonderful job of updating and decorating. We are sure that it is the nicest condo at Sugar Beach and feel spoiled. Hopefully the next time we go to Maui, it will be available.   Aloha Doug ~ I just wanted to send you a huge MAHALO for making our trip to Maui perfect! Your condo was awesome! We loved everything about it! Our favorite part was sleeping with the doors open each night and sleeping with the sound of the waves.You have thought about everything guests could possibly need while staying at your place. We took hour walks each morning and enjoyed watching the rowing teams going by. The location of your condo is just perfect, the view couldn't get any better!

  I've stayed at Sugar Beach Resort many times in the past and I've seen many units over the years and I have to tell you that your condo is one of the best I've ever seen. We will certainly be back again!

  Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed Maui & your condo! The binoculars were great as we watched the whales in the bay one day - AMAZING!!! This was the highlight of our vacation. Even though we’ve seen Killer Whales, there’s nothing more spectacular than watching the Humpback Whale’s massive tail coming out of the water. We can hardly wait to go back again we loved Maui so much and there wasn’t enough time to do or see everything. We really enjoyed the sunset from your lanai too as they were picture perfect & glad we had an unobstructed view! Once again I would like to say Mahalo,

  This place is awsome! Aside from the gorgeous beachfront setting, the condo itself is beautiful. The floor tiles are cool and look great and the woodwork is beautiful. The granite counters match the color of the sand! Nicely done!
