The Shenandoah seems like a distant dream, if we ever come back to that area, which i hope we do it will be your cabin we come to, so i can watch the Osprey's fish and then eat there lunch on a branch just in front of me, not to mention the bears we saw just pure magic. We had a wonderful one week stay at Shenandoah Stars--we loved the location on the river, the view is beautiful. We sat by the fire every night and watched Bald Eagles and a host of other birds (we even saw a river otter one evening) and lingered until the bats started flying. We enjoyed fishing in the river and paddled in the canoe. The location off the road was perfect for our dogs, and we were able to gate off the main living area from the kitchen and keep the dogs on the tile and in the screened porch. The single bathroom might be a problem for a larger group, but for the two of us the cabin was great.

We are back in Germany since yesterday and I want to tell you again that we spent really wonderful days in Shenandoah Dreaming. On our tour through Virginia and New York that was the best place to stay and we regret that we hadn't booked it for a whole week. Perhaps we come to Virginia another time and then certainly will come again to your place.

My husband and I stayed at the cabin last year and came back this year. We were very pleased again. The addition of the canoes was great. Everything was just as clean and pleasant as our last stay! We will be staying here again.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shenandoah Dreaming! We especially appreciated all of the "extras" - very,very well stocked kitchen, linens, washer and dryer, the pet bed and dog bowls, too! We had such a relaxing time; so did our pups! The river view is beautiful and we had a great time fishing. With the large yard and access to the river, this is a great place for teenagers (the flat screen and satellite tv can't hurt either). The large screen porch with ceiling fans is a plus. It was very rainy one day of our stay, so the flat screen and dvd player came in very handy! The cabin is well taken care of and in great condition. We have already recommended this place to our friends and will continue to do so.

I wanted to express how much we enjoyed the drive, the views, and all the relaxation of the scenic escape. Our friends were amazed when we got to the cabin, which was a relief to me since I picked it out. Some places just aren't what they boast online, and I didn't want to be the one to blame for a disappointing weekend. That wasn't the case at all. Everyone commented on how it was so much better than they expected. The sectional sofa was pure luxury! We're in the process of remodeling our basement and wish we had enough space for one. The screened in porch was also a great way to enjoy the outdoors in comfort. The cabin is so well done. We hope to come back again, and after sharing pictures with family and friends, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them plan a trip as well.

We sincerely enjoyed our stay at this wonderful cabin. The kitchen was fully stocked and we comfortably prepared most meals, including grilling outdoors. The screened in porch with ceiling fans was a wonderful place to relax. The house and yard were clean and in great condition upon arrival. The washer and dryer were a nice addition. We didn't get a chance to utilize the two fire rings, but wished we had. The cabin is remote enough that you really feel like you've escaped, but within 15 minutes of grocery store, downtown Luray and Luray caverns is very close also.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed your hospitality and your luxurious home away from home. All our needs were met and then some. Thank you for making us feel so special with all your personal touches. The time spent went way too fast. We look forward to returning every year from now on to your beautiful cabin that you have succeeded to offer a place that's even better than a five star hotel.
