Location: Hartwell, Hartwell Lake, Northeast Mountains, Georgia, USA (1/2 Mile Outside Historic Hartwell Village)

Accommodations:  Lakefront Townhouse, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 6-10)

Brand New 2500 square foot townhouse on Lake Hartwell. On a quiet inlet near a public launch facility and just minutes by boat to the main south part of the lake.

1st floor has a garage and Game Room with patio area. 2nd floor is family room with deck, kitchen and dinette w/1/2 bath. 3rd floor is 2 bedrooms with bath and a large master bedroom with private deck, garden tub and full bath room.

The property is professionally landscaped with a built in swimming pool literally right outside our back door. The dock is large and can accommodate your watercraft under 25'. Slips are owner assigned, so please ask before docking. There is a canoe for guests to use and fishing from the dock. There is also a separate swim dock with water trampoline for the kids.

We will consider lending our 19.5 foot Bayliner bowrider boat and water toys for fee to very responsible, experienced users only. It is plenty fast and has a V6. Your responsibility is fuel, safety of your passengers, observing all vessel and navigation requirements, and any damage or repairs that are not part of normal wear. Fuel can be purchased at Hartwell Marina.

  • The quaint town of Hartwell has numerous shops and restaurants to explore. Anderson and Clemson, SC are right up the road with malls and cinemas. South on I-85 is a large Tanger Outlet Mall. Western North Carolina is a moderate drive away. Local marinas will rent pontoons and the going rate is around $150-$175 per day plus damage deposit and fuel.

  • We had a wonderful time with our family in the Townhouse. It was decorated very nicely and was extremely comfortable for all 6 of us. Doug & Kim have done a great job providing all the essentials; it felt like a resort!! The rec room was an awesome place for the kids and adults to hang out! Loved the town of Hartwell, discovered Cateechee golf club and their Waterfall Grille. Will definitely bring the clubs next time. Another great place to have dinner is Siblings; it was recommended by Doug and others that we met. Wonderful place to get away and relax!

  • We really enjoyed our stay in April 2008. Everything was great. The lake level's coming up so it was a short ride to the main lake to play. We'll be back when the water's warmer. The town is cute and close by so when we forgot anything it didn't take long to get it (especially Ingles). We really liked some of the little cafes in town (on the parallel street to the right of main street (can't remember the name). I meant to play golf just outside of town, but never did as we spent too much time boating. Next time.
